Information icon Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Jarrod Bowen, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Lynden Gooch, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 23:51, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Lynden said he didn’t want those Appearances on his page. Sunderland37993 (talk) 08:07, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Lynden doesn't get to decide what goes on "his page". Mattythewhite (talk) 16:33, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did on Jordan Hugill. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:33, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I only correctly updated Jordan’s correct appearances and goals. Sunderland37993 (talk) 16:35, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The infobox accounts for league appearances only. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:40, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

He’s made 31 league appearances with 13 goals. Sunderland37993 (talk) 16:55, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No, he hasn't, see this. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:58, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Transfermarkt isn't a reliable source. Mattythewhite (talk) 17:16, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, what sources should I use? Sunderland37993 (talk) 17:58, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, welcome. Here's a list of common sources and whether they are considered reliable/quality or not - WP:RSP. Pick something "green" and you should be good to go. --Mr. Vernon (talk) 18:00, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
For English club appearances, Soccerbase, which I linked above, is usually best. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:08, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox timestamps

[edit]

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Mattythewhite (talk) 18:07, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please keep this in mind. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:50, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
