A tag has been placed on File:Pedisukkah.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/185964. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. <Copied from this request>
Hi Whpq, I wanted to thank you for pointing out my error in uploading this image. I wen to reply on my talk page to your comment but I hit edit and then I am not sure what I did to mess up your input. If you could fix that I could put in my reply there so it is on my page. In regards to this image, I actually took it from hereand not the page you mentioned. I misread the bottom and thought it was ok to use for this educational purpose. Thank you for pointing this out and I apologize. I have delted the image. StrohDa (talk) 05:03, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thank you for reaching out to me. I've transferred the conversation here per your request at my talk page. When you originally uploaded the image, you did not provide the source. All I was able to find was copyrighted usages of the image. That is why the image was tagged for deletion. The Flickr licensing looks legitimate, and is freely licensed. As such it should be fine from a licensing point of view. Sorry I got it deleted when it is acceptably licensed. Please upload the image again and be sure to provide the Flickr photo link as the source. If you have any difficulties or questions doing this please feel free to ask me. You might get a faster response by posting to Wikipedia:Media copyright questions which is a good place to post any future questions you may have about media copyrights. Cheers! -- Whpq (talk) 15:01, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Niagara Networks Company Logo.png

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Niagara Networks Company Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:48, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop hiding spam as minor edits

[edit]

Information icon Hi StrohDa! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. —J. M. (talk) 16:04, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines.—J. M.
