A belated thank you (User:MCiura/Shellsort)

Thanks a ton for your going through the article. It reads really smoothly now. Thank you, too, for spotting the two instances of weasel wording – I will attribute the opinions. I will keep in mind the period-after-reference rule. My only apology is that in Polish the rule is just the opposite. In just one case will I change your wording: at the beginning of the "Gap sequences" section, it is the sorts that have different properties, not the gap sequences.

I will think about your other suggestions, too. In particular, I am now inclined to mention Ms Metzner but I prefer to do it in a footnote rather than in a prominent "History" section. MCiura (talk) 18:25, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for your kind message. Don't worry about the period-after-reference thing; copy editing is offered in order to help with stuff like that. Please do change the wording of anything I have misuderstood. I thought the "Gap sequences" section was showing how different gap sequences result in different performance ("time complexity"). As such, I thought that the performance was a property of the gap sequence. If I have misunderstood this, please do alter the words to correct my misunderstanding. Best regards, --Stfg (talk) 08:53, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Thank you

Just wanted to say thank you for your exceptional effort on copy-editing List of Scream characters. I very much appreciate the time you have taken to help bring this up to a higher standard. Darkwarriorblake (talk) 19:28, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

It should be me thanking you for all you've done to build up the article and protect it from the hordes. And for helping me with the bit I didn't understand. Working in it this week has been an education! ;)) It's been nice to work on an article that uses list-defined references for a change; it does make editing a whole lot easier. Cheers, --Stfg (talk) 20:03, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
Funny you mention that, I recently had a whole argument on my talk page with someone who didn't like my list references but I agree, makes editing a tonne easier. My eyes glaze over when I see in-text referencing. Anyway, time to submit for FL again, see what happens. Thanks again. Darkwarriorblake (talk) 23:03, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
I've just been and read it. I think a lot of experienced editors may still not have heard of LDR, which was only added to Help:Footnotes in September 2009. I believe the software couldn't even handle it before then. IIRC there was a bit of resistance to it from editors used to in-line refs. But your reasons and mine are the same (plus, in a section edit, I hate having to add {{reflist}} temporarily at the bottom of the section - I always forgot to take it out again before saving.) When I create articles (rare) or add the first references to stubs, I always use LDR.
Good luck with the FL. I'll keep it watchlisted to see how it goes. Cheers. --Stfg (talk) 11:00, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

Guild of Copy Editors September 2011 backlog elimination drive report

GOCE September 2011 Backlog elimination drive progress graphs

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors September 2011 Backlog elimination drive! We would like to thank all who participated in this drive. Here is the end-of-drive report.

Participation

There were 58 editors who signed-up for this drive, of which 42 participated. This is a slight increase from the July 2011 drive participation, where 39 out of 50 people that signed up participated. Thank you to everyone!

Progress report

During the drive, we reduced the backlog by 146 articles, or by about 4%. Overall we did well, especially considering the exceptionally large number of articles that were tagged during September. Thus far we have reduced the copy edit backlog by 4854 articles, or by about 58%. If we keep up our current rate of copy editing, the backlog should be reduced by 65–70% by the end of this year. End-of-drive results and barnstar information can be found here. Barnstars will be handed out this week.

Once again, thank you for participating in the Guild's September 2011 Backlog elimination drive! Our next drive will be in November, and we hope to see you there!

Request?

Are you accepting requests for an article to be c/e? Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 22:38, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Hello Jonathan, thanks for asking! Apologies for the delay in replying. As this was the first time I've been asked this, I needed to think about it. I think that, to be fair to everyone, it's best if I pick up requests from the GOCE requests page rather than my own talk page. But, since you were so kind as to ask, and seeing the good work you do on Wikipedia, I'll give priority to taking on one of your requests from there next time. (May be Friday now, as I have something coming up in RL). Best, --Stfg (talk) 15:20, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
Thank you! I'm sorry if the request was rude or anything like that. Again thanks for c/e the article. Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 18:36, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
The request was very polite, and you're most welcome. Cheers, --Stfg (talk) 18:38, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
Oh ok. Thanks again, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 18:44, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

May Revolution

I have nominated it twince, and got replies about the dashes, references of trivial information, and so on. To prevent this, I referenced each sentence, even if it's trivial, and I'm checking the MOS point by point. But, to be more sure, when it's done I will request A-class review, and then featured. GOCE August requests archive

Hi

I was just looking at closing the August archive and noticed there are five articles still unnacounted for. Your name is next to Fast Five - did you complete a ce on the article? If so could you possibly update the archive please or let me know when you completed it so I can close that one off the list.

Thanks Chaosdruid (talk) 23:43, 19 October 2011 (UTC)

Hi. Sorry about that. Once archiving was closed off at the end of September, I stopped updating August and September requests too. I've now brought both August and September up to date for my copy edits and a couple of others I know about. --Stfg (talk) 09:05, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks :¬) Chaosdruid (talk) 20:52, 20 October 2011 (UTC)

Hello Stfg. I want to say you did a great job copy-editing of the article. I really appreciate it! I have two (one related, one non-related) questions though

1) How would I go making my copy-edit skills better? I've tried a little bit of Tony1's exercises.
2) What are its chances you think about becoming a good article?

Once again, thank you for the copy-edit.
Michael Jester (talk) 14:08, 21 October 2011 (UTC)

Hello Michael, and thanks for the message. I enjoyed working on this article - thanks for all the work you've done to build it up.
  1. Tony1's exercises are very useful. If you want to do copy editing, you're already a good enough writer that you could join the next GOCE drive (soon to be announced) and take on some of the articles tagged as needing copy edit, and you'd certainly be able to achieve improvement in them. I needed to remove several wikilinks from the article and add one or two, so maybe a look at WP:MOSLINK would help you. One other thing is to give some thought to sentence length and separation: when is it good to have short sentences ending in full stops; when to link with semicolons; and when to link more strongly using conjunctions. This question has a big impact on how prose flows. Finally, plain English: we spend quite a lot of time changing "attempt" into "try" and "following" into "after" :-)
  2. It really depends on how much more information is there to be found in available sources. HJ Mitchell may have been right when he said in the Peer Review "It's probably too short to get much further than B-class", but of course GAs don't have to be long if they give good, complete coverage of the subject. Anyway, I wish you success if you decide to try.
Best regards, Simon. --Stfg (talk) 15:06, 21 October 2011 (UTC)

Port of Ploče copyedit

Thanks for copyediting the Port of Ploče. I really appreciate the effort.--Tomobe03 (talk) 21:47, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

It's very kind of you to say so. Thank you for doing so much to build up the article in the first place. Best regards, --Stfg (talk) 10:28, 23 October 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for taking the challenge. I think I have provided the correct information that you requested so far (except about the breeding), can you please tell me if this is true? Thank you again, Puffin Let's talk! 14:56, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

Also, if I removed most of the "pet care" references and replaced them with some older books (most of them in German), would you think it could stand a chance at GA? Puffin Let's talk! 15:01, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for providing the challenge :) I'm afraid I have to say the article is a very long way from GA. I will put some comments on the PR page next. --Stfg (talk) 19:04, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

Invitation from the Guild of Copy Editors

The Guild of Copy Editors invites you to participate in their November 2011 Backlog elimination drive, a month-long effort to reduce the size of the copy edit backlog. The drive begins on November 1 at 00:00 (UTC) and ends on November 30 at 23:59 (UTC). We will be tracking the number of 2010 articles (and specifically will be targeting the oldest three months), as we want to copy edit as many of these as possible. Barnstars will be awarded to anyone who copy edits more than 4,000 words, and special awards will be given to the top 5 in the following categories: "Number of articles", "Number of words", and "Number of articles of over 5,000 words". We hope to see you there! – Your drive coordinators: Diannaa, Chaosdruid, The Utahraptor, Slon02, and SMasters.

Led Zeppelin

Hi

I have been discussing the status of the lEd Zeppelin copyedit. I did the last big one a couple of months ago, there is some urgency now as the main editors have finished working on all the sections, so I wondered if you had a great interest in doing the edits. If not then I will do it again, though I am a believer in "the more the merrier" on big articles like this one.

If you were chomping at the bit, feel free to take over, if not then I will do it. In the interests of disclosure, there are these conversations to look at:

Thanks :¬) Chaosdruid (talk) 17:20, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

Hi. No, I'm not in a position to take that one on. 6000-word articles take me days rather than hours and I have something coming up in RL that will occupy me quite seriously till at least next Thursday. I'm also a bit tied up in a PR for an editor who appears to insert references without checking them and doesn't cite properly :(( --Stfg (talk) 17:38, 29 October 2011 (UTC)
No problem, I just didn't want to take over if someone else was "chomping at the bit" as I did the last big copyedit on it. Chaosdruid (talk) 15:31, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

Thank you!

First of all, I would like to apologize for the late response. Thank you very much for offering to copyedit Infinity on High, but now that it is a GA, I don't feel it is needed at the moment, unless I get around to nominating it for FA. Thanks so much, and keep up the great work :D Basilisk4u (talk) 17:43, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. Perhaps another one in the future? --Stfg (talk) 17:45, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

A tool for you!

Hi Stfg! I see that you are an copyeditor, and thought that you might appreciate some help with finding and eliminating multiple links (or wikification) from the article on which you are working.

I case you're not aware, all you need to do is install the following script:

importScript('User:Ucucha/duplinks.js');

onto Special:MyPage/skin.js, and you'll find a clickable link called "Highlight duplicate links" in your toolbox section of the page (probably in the left hand column). It can be found both in normal view mode and edit mode. Press on it, and away you go! Have fun! --Sp33dyphil ©© 09:37, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

Many thanks, Sp33dyphil, that looks extremely useful. I'll give it a try. Best, --Stfg (talk) 10:21, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

Hi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

Guild of Copy Editors November 2011 backlog elimination drive update

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors November 2011 Backlog elimination drive! Here's the mid-drive newsletter.

Participation: We have had 46 people sign up for this drive so far, and 28 have copy edited at least one article. If you have signed up but have not yet copy edited any articles, please consider doing so. Every bit helps! If you haven't joined, it's not too late. Join us!

Progress report: We are making great progress in our goal of clearing out the oldest articles (April, May, and June 2010) from the queue. There are 122 articles left in those categories, which compares very favorably with the 281 that were present at the close of the September drive. We have reduced the 2010 backlog by 184 articles so far.

Coordinator elections: The term of our second tranche of coordinators will be running out at the end of the year, and we will be accepting nominations for new coordinators early in December. The election will likely run in the last two weeks of December. Please consider helping out by nominating yourself or someone else in the Guild as one of our coordinators. The commitment is for a six-month term. Thanks.

Hi Stfg... How are you? I hope you are doing great these days. Anyway, I am working and interested in Rihanna's articles. I nominated "Rehab" for FA and currently runs its third FAC. Although some users already gave support, some of them are commenting that the article still has some prose issues. The article has been copy-edited numerous times, but still with no excellent results. Can you copy-edit it per the FAC3 talk? I would be very grateful, if you can do it. — Tomica1111Question Existing? 22:20, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Normally I would only take it from the requests page, but I can see the problem in this case, so yes, I'll start tomorrow. Thanks for asking, I'm honoured. --Stfg (talk) 22:45, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
Thank You. And no problem, it's obvious that you are among best copy-editors on Wikipedia. ;) — Tomica1111Question Existing? 09:08, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Hey thanks for the copy-edit. I can really say that the article looks better now. When the users comment on the FAC I hope you will be able to "satisfy their wishes" also. I really put a lot of energy on the article and you have done the same today. Thank You :). — Tomica1111Question Existing? 22:38, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, Tomica1111. I may take another look tomorrow to see if I missed anything (sometimes we see new things after sleeping). Anyway, I'll keep it watchlisted and will be glad to work again on it if people raise anything. Good luck with the FAR! Best wishes, --Stfg (talk) 23:33, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, you are definitely right. And thanks again ;)!— Tomica1111Question Existing? 00:20, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
Hey Stfg. Journalist commented on your replies on the "Rehab" FAC. Can you copy-edit per his comments?:) And as I can see he finally sees progress in the prose :D ! — Tomica1111Question Existing? 09:47, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
I've updated a few things and responded to all comments related to my copy edit. As you see, I don't see why or where he wants a [sic], but I've just asked him to do what he wants about that. But he also suggests deleting half that quote and I think that might be a reasonable idea. What do you think? --Stfg (talk) 14:43, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for you work. When I thought twice, yeah, the sentence didn't give any reasonable information to the section, so I listened to your advice and removed it. The only problem that it stays is with the repetition of "entered" at the Chart performance. I can't understand your comment on the FAC when it comes to it. Can you explain me? — Tomica1111Question Existing? 14:48, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
You did a great job ... I am really satisfied and thankful for that. Some users changed the numbers to written on, but I will make them numerical. Probably they didn't read your comment on the talkpage. I hope you will help me with other issues posted by Jivesh. Cheers and all the best:)— Tomica1111Question Existing? 18:34, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
OK, I'll look at those by Jivesh. --Stfg (talk) 19:36, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
Done, as you can see. I'm not going to revert anything, but I hope some sense can be restored regarding "the key of" and the claim that the song's range refers to Rihanna's vocal range. I took care over accuracy with those, and I think Jivesh and yourself are wrong on those two points. --Stfg (talk) 20:47, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
I also feel that we are wrong with that. I will let the key stay since I also have in mind Jivesh comment (If a 10 year old boy reads the article, maybe just G minor will be unknown for him), however I will revert the sentence for the vocal range. Also Jivesh wants the date for the entry in Canada, and I don't know how to put in the sentence. Can you also do that? — Tomica1111Question Existing? 20:51, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
Jivesh posted some new comments. If you can, please check them, I am busy in the next few hours in RL. — Tomica1111Question Existing? 10:04, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
Done. --Stfg (talk) 11:01, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
In the "octave and a half" sentence, Journalist's comment was about how to avoid saying that F3 is "low". He essentially just removed that bit. Jivesh's comment made the point that the 1.5 octaves isn't in the source. I assume he considers it OR. (I don't mind either way. It's correct and a bit like the sky being blue.)
Also, "Rihanna's vocal range spans from the low note of F3 to B4.[10]". That's a verbose way of saying "Rihanna's vocal range spans the notes F3 to B4, or, better yet, "Rihanna's vocal range spans nearly an octave and a half, from F3 to B4. ... Comment by Journalist from the first FAC. He previously commented there, but it was closed and the article was not promoted. Look the same is in "Irreplaceable" which is a FA. I will explain to Jivesh.— Tomica1111Question Existing? 14:40, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
OK, that's fine. --Stfg (talk) 15:49, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

Hello Jivesh. I've seen you around. How can I help you? --Stfg (talk) 12:25, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
Are you good at paraphrasing? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 12:30, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
  1. First paragraph > Please try to turn the quotes into original prose.
  2. Second paragraph > The reviewer talked about transitions. He wants a better flow.
Yes, I can try to help with these. In the first one, are there any comments in the FAR that ask for paraphrases? If you can help me locate them by saying who made the comment and what timestamp they have, that would be great. I do feel that Beyonce's own comment "It's beautiful to feel you touch people and bring a song to life with a video" should be kept as a quote. It says something about what she's like, and any paraphrase would lose that. I understand the other two. (I'm going out in the sun right now, but will work on it later today). Best, --Stfg (talk) 13:57, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
Look at the comments by User:Efe towards the end. He asked to convert all factual quotes. I know there is actually nothing that really needs to be paraphrased but you know how a reviewer can be sometimes. So i prefer not to argue with him. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 15:40, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. OK, I've had a try. In the case of the Trish Crawford quote, I think it's impossible to include all the toddlers, dance classes, cheer leaders etc, without quoting. Probably not necessary either, so I've just made a precis for that. I hope this will have helped. Of course, don't hesitate to modify anything you want to. Best, --Stfg (talk) 20:49, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
Thank you wholeheartedly. May God bless you. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 04:59, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
It looks as if I was a bit too heavy-handed. Sorry about that. But the result now you and Journalist have tweaked it looks very good. Best wishes, --Stfg (talk) 09:55, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, in all honesty, a bit. Lol. But Journalist complimented what you did in the accolades section. See his ta;k-page and trust me, it took me years to earn one from him. Lol. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 10:02, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for pointing me to that -- I hadn't seen it, and it's encouraging. And thanks for inviting me to get involved in this. I've learned things from this one. Best, --Stfg (talk) 10:13, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
You are welcome but i did not get the last part of your message. Did you mean to say that you did not know about the song? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 10:20, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
I was too brief. I meant I hadn't seen Journalist's comment on his talk page, and that I learned things from working on the article and seeing the outcome. Best, --Stfg (talk) 11:27, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
Now that's better. Lol. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 13:08, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

Would you like to be a GOCE coordinator?

The UtahraptorTalk/Contribs would like to nominate you to be a coordinator for WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors. To accept this nomination, please add your name to the appropriate nomination page listed at the bottom of this page.

--The UtahraptorTalk/Contribs 14:35, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Congrats!!! You deserve it :-) Happy holidays, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 15:06, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
Hi, Stfg. I agree with this idea. You are already doing lots of work helping out with the requests page and other tasks, so you might as well get the recognition you deserve. --Dianna (talk) 15:19, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
This I really wasn't expecting! Seriously, thank you for the recognition. If elected, I'll be honoured to work with you. If not elected, well, I'll still be happy to help out where suitable. Thanks again. Simon. --Stfg (talk) 16:33, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
I've actually been waiting to nominate you since August. Thanks for all you do for the Guild, and good luck in the election! The UtahraptorTalk/Contribs 17:32, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
(Sorry to stalk, but when are the elections?) ~ Lhynard (talk) 17:38, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
The nomination period started on December 5, and it will end on December 15, at 23:59 UTC. The voting period will begin December 16, at 00:00 UTC and will end December 31, at 23:59 UTC. The UtahraptorTalk/Contribs 17:53, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Giraffe caption

Hello. Would you be able to CE the caption for the Genetic subdivision diagram? It seems fit more for a biologist. LittleJerry (talk) 00:17, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi. I'm not a biologist: degree in music, worked as computer systems designer. I've just been mugging up a lot on zoology in the last couple of years as a hobby. Anyway, I think you mean the diagram to the right of the coat patterns pointing to a map, yes? If so, I think it's already very well written. My only concern is that "bootstrap" links to the article about bootstrapping computers, and probably doesn't help here. Should it rather link to Resampling (statistics), do you think? GOCE November 2011 Backlog elimination drive progress graphs

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors November 2011 Backlog elimination drive! We would like to thank all who participated in this drive. Here is the end-of-drive report.

Participation

There were 48 editors who signed-up for this drive, of which 35 participated. Thank you to everyone who helped reduce the size of the backlog!

Progress report

During the drive, we reduced the backlog by 232 articles, or by about 6%. This is a two percent increase from our September drive, when we copy edited 4% of the backlog. We were successful in our primary goal of clearing the oldest three months—March, April, and May 2010—from the queue. Thanks to all who helped copy edit these difficult articles. Thus far we have reduced the copy edit backlog by 5086 articles, or by about 61%. End-of-drive results and barnstar information can be found here.

Coordinator election

The term of our second tranche of coordinators has run out, and we will be accepting nominations from December 5, 00:01 UTC to December 15, 23:59 UTC. If you or any other member of the Guild of Copy Editors wishes to be a coordinator, add your name to this page along with a statement describing why you believe you should be a coordinator for the Guild. You must be able to commit to a six month term. Thanks!

Once again, thank you for participating in the Guild's November 2011 Backlog elimination drive! Our next drive will be in January, and we hope to see you there!

Your drive coordinators – Diannaa, Chaosdruid, The Utahraptor, Slon02 and SMasters

Cheeky copyedit

Hi Stfg, I appreciate you're busy so will understand if you can't help. Nevertheless, I was wondering if you would be able to give Liverpool F.C. in European football a quick copyedit, it recently failed FAC, so there might be a few issues, but I think its nearly there. Would really appreciate it if you could do this, as your copyedit on the Liverpool F.C. was fantastic. I understand if you can't, because like most people most on here you're probably busy. Cheers

Hi NapHit. Thanks for asking, and I'm chuffed that you liked my efforts before, but I'm afraid it's going to have to be no. The request to work on Rehab involved some very particular circumstances, but in general I'm unwilling to accept requests made here while we're backlogged on the requests pages. I've decided in future to accept direct requests only for articles related to western classical music that are aiming at GAN or higher (though we never seem to get any of those).
Liverpool F.C. in European football has already been copy edited by both Dianna and Chaosdruid, two of the best copy editors around here, so I very much doubt I could accomplish much more anyway. Why did it fail its FAC? It wasn't obvious that issues of prose quality were the reason -- the FAC rather seemed to fizzle out, didn't it? I couldn't really see why. But if you do want another one, please do add it to WP:GOCE/FA and someone will do it for you.
Cheers, and happy Christmas! --Stfg (talk) 22:06, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
Ye the FAC did kind of fizzle out, but the comments were mainly based around prose issues, thought you'd be busy, I'll list it at GOCE. Cheers NapHit (talk) 23:50, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

Rajneesh movement

Hi

If you are offering to do it, please do. I have been limited by RL issues for the past 6 weeks, which may well stretch into the next 6 weeks, hence my absenteeism. I am not standing for coordinator for this term as it looks likely my contributions will remain minimal for the next month or two, and I have not really been able to help as much as I would have liked for the last 8 weeks really.

Hope you are well, and good luck for your nomination :¬) Chaosdruid (talk) 13:02, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

Sorry to learn you still have RL issues. I hope not too serious? I was really just checking whether you might have completed it but forgotten to close it off, but I see you haven't edited frequently in the last little while, so I'll continue from where you left off. No problem.
Hope you have a good festive season. --Stfg (talk) 15:58, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
Now done. --Stfg (talk) 20:18, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

I am extremely angry that the article has failed after I have spent hours on it. I would like a full and detailed list of every single "failed" verification so I can change every single one and forget the citation check because I do not agree with it. Please can you list every single citation you want changed so the article can be re nominated. I am not waiting for a citation check, it takes too long and it has already ruined me. If you do not list the citations, I want a detailed and thorough reason as to why and I will just change every single citation. I want the article to become a GA and so please list the citations you don't agree with. I am not clear at all as to why you don't believe me about the citing!! I have tried my hardest and you just don't believe it, please believe it why don't you I fail to understand please tell me please please please please tell me why and please don't do the check because it will take about 2 years for someone to even look at it and it has already ruined all of my work and its not fair I spent ages on the article and then it is failed its not fair please let me change it please list them please I also want proof as to why they fail to verify so I can be sure that you are telling the truth. Puffin Let's talk! 17:36, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

I have the sources and I am only reading them and then putting in the information but wording it differently, in no way close paraphrasing. How can you determine that these things aren't true? I have the sources, the things are true and it's not fair that the article failed because of a problem which doesn't exist. Puffin Let's talk! 17:54, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
In the peer review you said:

"Ref 2 is a book, with an author, publisher, etc. Best to use {{cite book}}: Empty citation (help) with all the right fields, as the template will format it properly. !" I corrected it. Therefore, this is not a problem.

You said "Ref 3: the title you give is a translation into English of the title of Sandra Honigs's book (our ref 5). I can find no mention of Krylzow und Schubin. In the German WP article, "Ross 1998" is the 3rd listed above, but none of those papers refer to Krylzow und Schubin. Where did this reference come from?" The reference was replaced, a reference which supports the statement, in a book, even though it's not online, I can't help that! You can't challenge it unless you can see it. I can see it! I have the information, why do you not believe it?

You said "Ref 4: is a book. Needs {{cite book}}: Empty citation (help) again." I formatted it correctly, so the issue is resolved. Puffin Let's talk! 18:02, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

You said "Ref 6: duplicates ref 3 and has the same problem. " And then suggested that I change the reference which I did. Where is the problem? Puffin Let's talk! 18:02, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

You said "Ref 7: do you have this? The German WP article cites the same pages of it, but for information about the Karyotype - nothing to do with age." I changed the reference to support the statement to a reference that I did have. Puffin Let's talk! 18:02, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

I could go on but that would just be duplicating the peer review. Do you see why I am confused now? Puffin Let's talk! 18:02, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

I do see that you are very confused, and I may be able to help you make progress eventually. But we will probably have to go right back to basics about citations, and it may take some time. And I won't even start until you deal with me with courtesy. The only effect that rants like the above have on me is to turn me off. Do you want help, or do you want to let off steam? --Stfg (talk) 20:23, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi, this article currently holds FA status. However, i am worried that there may be some over-linking issues. Would you mind taking a look at it, when you have the time? I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Joyson Prabhu Holla at me! 15:45, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

You are undoubtedly right. It's probably because it became FA in August 2008, when people may have been less conscious of overlinking. Personally, I think overlinking is one of the less urgent problems in Wikipedia, so I only only tackle it in an article when I'm editing for other reasons as well. Also, this article may need a higher than average density of links, because it mentions a more than average number of things that readers may want to learn more about. Even so, there are links to things like "estuary", "humidity" and other unnecessary ones, and there is heavy duplication of links. The User:Ucucha/duplinks tool is invaluable for detecting this. I hope this has helped. Best regards, --Stfg (talk) 17:46, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
Thank you! :-) Joyson Prabhu Holla at me! 17:57, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

A lot of copy-editors c/e "Rehab", but no one did it like you. You gave the diversity that the article now possesses. Thanks Stfg, you really deserve this and more :) ! — Tomica1111Question Existing? 21:44, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
Thanks Tomica, those are very nice comments. And thanks for all the work you do to build up these articles into something worth reading! I hope to do more work for you in future. Have a great Christmas! --Stfg (talk) 21:50, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
No problem Stfg (I am so sorry I don't know your real name)... I always tend to tell the truth especially when is so good like in this case. I will try to stay here on Wikipedia and edit Rihanna/music related articles. Thanks, Merry Christmas to you too. :) — Tomica1111Question Existing? 21:59, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

Car Accident of Marika Gombitová

Hi, thanks heaps for starting to copyedit the article. It's been a long time for me ,-) Let me know if there's anything unclear. Hope I did my best to describe the issue. Thanks again. Uzerakount (talk) 13:36, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

Just stopped by to say thanks again (though, with american accent guess ,-) I was wondering if you listened to the audio sample of Gombitova's track attached to the article. I know that your "main interest is classical music", still would be glad to hear an opinion, how does her voice sounds to a "strangel"? ,-) File:Dotyk.ogg Uzerakount (talk) 20:12, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
It was an interesting job. Thanks for helping me with all those questions. I've never heard of "strangel", but ... well, the voice sounds very child-like to my ears. It's quite unusual. --Stfg (talk) 21:24, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
Guess I'm doing better when writing poetry in English than trying to be formal (as for "strangel"). Be (s)well and have a good wk/e. Uzerakount (talk) 21:56, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

Hey man. Thanks for taking the time to copy-edit the Manhunter article for me. I really appreciate it; and with your good work, hopefully it'll succeed at FAC this time around! GRAPPLE X 15:39, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. Yes, let's hope so. Good luck. --Stfg (talk) 15:40, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
