TE Lawrence

I saw your comments on the Talk:T. E. Lawrence page. Just to let you know I've removed the LGBT banner from the talk page of this article simply and only because it was placed by the sock of an indefinitely blocked and highly disruptive User:DavidYork71. Whether 'good' editors feel it acutally was an appropriate addition is fine by me; they may want to reinstate it is fine by me.Merbabu 11:27, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for contributing to the article. However, usually when you remove a {{fact}} tag from information that needs a source, you add a source that backs up the statement the sentence in the article makes. Nowhere in the article you cited talks about The Oregonian being the only major newspaper w/o an Ombudsman (the only place in the article with the term ombudsman appears are in places outside of the column itself). I'm sure it is true, but the source needs to say/infere that without original research. Aboutmovies 01:30, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

I have moved the topic to the talk page of the article. Aboutmovies 04:02, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

If you think the yoga page should go, please use one of the deletion processes. WP:CSD, WP:PROD, or WP:AFD. The cleanup tags are for requesting assistance in cleaning up the existing article. Blanking the article at the same time as you add the cleanup tags pretty much defeats the purpose of the tags. And in general, blanking out of articles is never the proper way to handle things. It was the blanking that brought the article to my attention on the Short pages list. I just reverted to a proper use of the clen-up tags. As I said, if you think that the article is worthless, and does not deserve to be left ofr later cleanup, feel free to pursue it's deletion. I just did not want it left in a blanked state. - TexasAndroid 17:55, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Info for posting on the Xingyi page

Hi, thanks for the explanation on why my links kept disappearing. What should I include to be able to be posted? A video, or new info not on Wikipedia. I have both, so any advice would be great. Thanks.

Invalid AIV report

Thank you for making a report about 63.215.27.201 (talk · contribs · block log) on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. There were no recent warnings for this IP (the last one was about two weeks ago), so it is assumed that someone else might have the IP address. Jesse Viviano 07:20, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Boxer pictures

Hi. I've recently noticed the removal of lots of boxer pictures from the Boxer article. I think a few images that depicted unique situations (nurturing bitch, old boxers, etc.) were removed. I'll be restoring a few. If you want you can review it later to see if those restore really have merit. Thanks for finally cleaning up the article. I'm a big contributor to that article, and I kept a very political position there so that no other contributor antagonizes each other... That's why I did create the gallery, to avoid being "unpolitcal" by removing every single picture addition... Now that I mentioned it a question popped in my mind: why there is the gallery feature if we will not be using it because a image gallery isn't encyclopedic? Why it isn't encyclopedic? Oh, nevermind :-) Loudenvier 16:45, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

I was kidding about the gallery stuff! Sorry for taking your time... anyway, it was a good answer, I will post it on the Boxer talk page so that people can understand why the gallery "passed away" :-). I think I've finished re-adding a few pictures (only two). You may review it if you mind... We still do not have a good picture of a robust fawn boxer to illustrate the article. It's funny how we can't find a free picture of a fawn Boxer which is the representative boxer (there are many who even don't know that boxers come out in other colors than fawn...) So at least one more picture will be added when someone finds a good one. Regards Loudenvier 21:19, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Just to draw your attention to my response to your edit/comments re: definition in the discussion section. I'm a bit new to this, so bear with me.Eyedubya 00:18, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

GP FAC

Hey, thanks for your comments. Just a note though - my impression from reading FAC's is that reviewers can get very touchy, especially if they know the subject well, so we should try to be on our best behavior as far as being polite and accommodating. Chubbles 04:27, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Mitsuyo Maeda

Hi. I've noticed you are a member of the Martial arts project. You may be interested in the Mitsuyo Maeda article. With all the hype about the Gracies and BJJ it will be an interesting reading. Did you practice any martial arts? Regards Loudenvier 19:50, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

It's nice to read that article because it shows that BJJ came from Judo. So that's interesting to see how it "evolved" into this retarded, bloodsport you said it is now! :-) I'd like the finesse part of BJJ, which, to me, is just Judo Newaza (ground-work): the same techniques exists in both arts, and BJJ took them from Judo. It's nice to try to win a shiai without actually hurting the opponent (that's what BJJ should be about if not for MMA). But I'll have to admit that I'd like MMA fights: perhaps that's the insane animal in me trying to set free :-) Loudenvier 20:22, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

I have responded to your question here. *Cremepuff222* 00:07, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi there; please give a reason for the speedy deletion of this article. Choosing one from the list in WP:CSD is best.--Anthony.bradbury 18:58, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

I did not mean to criticise, and am sorry if I came across as doing so. It's just that in wiki procedure it is much more straightforward if we have a clear statement to decide on. If both apply, either will do. Happy wikying.--Anthony.bradbury 19:09, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
This is a marginal decision. I have consulted a senior colleague, and we feel that the right approach, given that the article may well not be encyclopedic, is for you to take it to WP:AfD.--Anthony.bradbury 21:16, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Detailed instructions are on WP:AfD.--Anthony.bradbury 21:49, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi. I really appreciate what you've done on this article, it looks good. I just wanted to explain what I have done in the section entitled, "Health benefits". I'm a real stickler for urban myth and unsourced medical claims. The nutrition industry, through a loophole in US law, makes claims all the time. I think there are lots of medical articles on the benefits of Tai Chi Chuan, but I want to make certain real articles are in there from real medical references (since there are so many available). If someone comes looking for the claimed medical benefits of this art, then it's good that they can find them. I don't know much about Tai Chi, I'll leave all that writing to you, but I think the medical benefits section really helps the article a lot, and it is well referenced. Anyways, keep up the good work. Orangemarlin 21:44, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Regarding the reference of the commercial site, I actually reverted that reference, put in by an anonymous editor and placed in a medical one. It hasn't been there for a few days. I'm very diligent about references, that's why I took responsibility for the health benefits part of the article. You should probably check the article history if you have any questions. Orangemarlin 20:15, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism?

How can adding a photo be construed as vandalism? You have immediately used an offensive term without provocation, and "a personal attack" - I am not a vandal. The Lhasa Apso is a dog with many differing appearances, and because of the poor images being used I felt a better quality shot would be beneficial to anyone interested in the article. What I choose to contribute to wikipedia (photos of my pets) is absolutely nothing to do with you. If there is a valid reason for them to be removed, I accept that, but your comments and suggestions are unwarranted.

Korean ESL Industry

Van, I have had a mixed experience here. The first hagwon I taught at was terrible and I quit after two months. The next one was quite a bit better. After that I took a break and went home for a few months and came back and did a TESOL program. The third hagwon was fine until they fired the boss and brought in this woman who would make Hitler look like a rabbit. Since then, I've been working at a public school which has been really good.

Most of the kids have a really low ability in terms of their English level (except in areas where the parents can afford to send them to a hagwon). Korea is quite a bit more advanced then Thailand. The pay here is decent and they provide housing. I'm headed home in a few weeks and I'm looking forward to it. The weather is pretty extreme in both the summer and winter, which bothers me. The main draw in terms of teaching in Korea is saving money. Depending on how much you spend and travel you can save $10-15,000 a year. Davidpdx 07:17, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

I am very sorry

If the artice I've written may have offended you then I apologise, but I hope you appreciate my evalution. Because I did not make up these things myself, it is an assessment of many years of experience & education. Re. Per your mouse question...

I seem to be at a loss trying to find a rationale in your edits of several cat breed-related pageds. It seems that for most pages you have put a tag to wikify the page, on some others you have cut down the number of pictures in the article, and on some others you seem to have arbitrarily cut down either the size of the gallery, or the entire gallery altogether. While I agree that Wikipedia is not a gallery of images and that many of these articles are small, there is no policy, to my knowledge, whch dictates the number of images an article may have relative to size, and neither is there a policy that requires articles below a certain size to be without any gallery. Furthermore, the deleted images seem to be fairly random and at least a few with poor rationale (for eample, on the Peterbald page, you deleted an image of a bald cat, but left what looks for all the world like a brushcoat cat, which is considered of inferior quality and is less representative of the breed). Would you mind explaining your rationale as these look to me like random deletions and tagging without explanation, which all may be subject to reversion.--Ramdrake 23:16, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Like I said, I don't disagree with the spirit in which these changes were done. I would, however ask you to bear in mind that this was discussed in Wikiproject Dogs, which is different than Wikiproject Cats, so a consensus in one place may not necessarily mean a consensus everywhere. I will go over the changes shortly, and while I expect I will agree with most of them, I hope you will understand if I modify some of them.--Ramdrake 00:23, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I had a brief look over Snowshoe (cat), and I can certainly see why you are frustrated. Many of those images had no benefit to the article and needed to be removed. The article as it is now seems reasonable, hopefully it won't be changed too much. If you continue to experience this kind of trouble you might try to attack the images directly through WP:IFD or WP:IUP for their unencyclopedianess (I make up words all the time). Once the images are removed they will no longer fill up the articles, and this route requires consensus so all sides will be heard and your opponents should be appeased. - HammerHeadHuman (talk)(work) 06:47, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

3RR Warning on Snowshoe (cat)

Please be aware that your revert count on Snowshoe (cat) is now at 3 reverts in the last 24 hours. I would suggest you refrain yourself from doing yet another revert as you will the be breaking the 3RR rule yourself.--Ramdrake 19:00, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Red setter controversy...

I noticed today that some material regarding the red setter controversy has been removed. I am concerned that much of the discussion (also the pictures) seems to imply that the AKC red setter is the dominant red setter in the realm of red setters. In reality, it is quite the opposite... most members of the National Red Setter Field Trial Club register their red setters with FDSB, not AKC. While there are some AKC red setters, most red setters do not affiliate or associate with the AKC. Perhaps a review of this article would be considered?

Best regards, Allen Fazenbaker

Rottweiler photos

I just happened to be at User talk:Sannse's user page a moment ago and saw your note. I don't think Sannse drops in here all that often any more (and neither do I). Her photos were up on wikipedia long before Commons even existed, so it's really the Commons photo that has the duplicate name. I'm sure you're welcome to download & reupload Sannse's photo to the commons under another name, as long as you copy all of the text from the original image. (Some of my photos were moved commons "for me", and for some unknown reason, all of the original text with the photo was abandoned.) Elf | Talk 04:27, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

...Oh, and I see you flagged it as being available on commons as Rottweiler2, but I'm sure you'll notice shortly that there's already one under that name on Commons. Elf | Talk 04:32, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, as I said, Sannse's dog photos were all uploaded before Commons existed and so were most of mine, and the thought of sitting and reuploading them all just completely deflates my enthusiasm. Oh, well. Elf | Talk 04:40, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
(Copied from my talk page: Yeah, I know scut work like that isn't fun, but it's doubly not fun for the users who have to go around cleaning up the messes.)
Absolutely...I figure that WP was around long enough before commons that people uploading to commons should check there--in all the language versions--before posting to commons. ;-) I know what you mean by messes. I've done my share of people uploading to WP right on top of existing photos with the same name, usually of cruddy pet photos on top of reasonable, useful photos already used in articles. And now i'm SO exhausted from just remembering that, that I think I'll go away again for another couple of months. Elf | Talk 04:47, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Scientology on antireligion

I am not convinced that the antireligion page is a good place for sniping about who is supersitious! If you are going to remove content from a page for dogmatic reasons, the least you could do is replace it with something functionally equivalent, instead of leaving the page corrupted. There must be some other cult you can think of that antireligious people would object to. Until you do that, I am reverting your edit again. --Jaibe 09:01, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the hello! I've edited pages anonymously a few times before, mostly just gross misspellings or updating tech stuff, but this is my first time with an account. Thanks for cleaning up the Himalayan article, too; I wasn't sure the if part about catteries should be included or not, it's more of a political/subjective issue. I should probably bang up a separate article on them instead, but I need to find sources other than my own experience with the miserable places my wife and I went while looking for a new cat.

Again, thanks!

Anti-Consumerism Talk isn't intended as discussion

My addition to the talk section for anti-consumerism isn't necessarily intended as discussion. I feel that the point I am raising about anti-identification vs non-identification is worth inclusion in the main article, as a reality that must be faced by anyone attempting to establish for themselves and communicate to others an anti-consumerist perspective. The anti-consumerist can be easily go unnoticed as being "out of the loop" even though their intent is often to get notice, and to attempt to confront and change consumerist attitudes.

Being nice to newcomers

I just read the comments posted to User_talk:Westonta922#Catahoula_Leopard_Dog and they are quite harsh and negative, especially for a newcomer who had the grace to create a user name and sign in, post a photo in an article that could very well be considered appropriate by a newcomer, and didn't do anything hostile or vandal-like. Remember that newcomers are new to wikipedia, don't know the rules yet, and should generally be welcomed with open arms, cheery comments, and calm explanations about how to improve their posts. You might read my post on that page to get an idea. Elf | Talk 22:30, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

This person replaced it exactly once. And they did nothing else except add this photo to the article. This comes under the newbie experience of "huh--I thought I added it to this article! Maybe I screwed up! Let me try again!" Patience, grasshopper, it's a rare newcomer who has a clue about page histories or even understanding about clicking the "you have new messages" link. I became a heavy contributor to wikipedia because my early screw-ups and complete misunderstandings were handled with good grace and cheer by people who fixed them for me. Elf | Talk 05:48, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
The fact that they had absolutely no other experience with wikipedia and absolutely no way of knowing that what they did was against wikipedia policy and standards is my point. People who come here and do that aren't trying to hurt anything and simply don't understand. Now, if they had done it 5 times, I'd be inclined to say "knock it off". But, come on, there was nothing at all meanspirited or malicious about what they did, and there was no pattern of adding dozens of personal photos to inappropriate places or anything else annoying. I'm just saying, when it's a newcomer, take a deep breath and give them the benefit of the doubt. There's a world of difference between adding a photo of a catahoula to an article about catahoulas and adding "johnny is a prick" to the middle of some random article. Elf | Talk 06:07, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Red aussie photo

You asked about the photo; I'd still like to see it in the article especially, as you say, to show the variations in the breed (after all, Wikipedia isn't a breed site, it's an encyclopedia of complete information--anyway, that's my argument and I'm sticking to it). So if you agree with me and feel inclined to replacing it into the article, please do so (and note such on its talk page where you found my original comment). Thanks. I appreciate it.Elf | Talk 05:48, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Australian Kelpie

What's the deal with removing the pic of the kelpie working sheep? This pic is of far more encyclopaedic value than any of the other pics on the kelpie page, since it is (or was) the only picture showing a kelpie doing what it was bred to do - i.e. work livestock. If there is one pic that is of little encyclopaedic value, it is the pic of the kelpie pup under the heading "history", since it serves no purpose other than "being cute" and it is in completely the wrong context.

Dear VanTucky

Because the road is rough and long,
Shall we despise the skylark's song,
That cheers the wanderer's way?
Or trample down, with reckless feet,
The smiling flowerets, bright and sweet
Because they soon decay?

Pass pleasant scenes unnoticed by,
Because the next is bleak and drear;
Or not enjoy a smiling sky,
Because a tempest may be near?

No! while we journey on our way,
We'll notice every lovely thing;
And ever, as they pass away,
To memory and hope we'll cling.

And even though life's dark, and deep,
You walk by me, my blessed friend;
And I won't suffer, I won't weep,
But cherish it until the end!

Dear VanTucky, let me thank you from the heart the kind words you dedicated me, even tho I feel undeserving. Although our paths had not crossed until today, I can clearly see that you're a beautiful person, and even tho I ignore the problems that have been saddening you, allow me to offer you all my support and sympathy, for you dompletely deserve them. Just like this little but beautiful poem says, sometimes the dark aspects of life makes us forget about the small, yet important beauties that make life worth living... and the same could be said about our project. Whenever it gets the best of us, remembering there's wonderful people like you around is the best way to keep going.
Once again, thank you for your lovely words. You've brightened my day, for not only I've been reminded of the best things our dear Wiki has to offer, but above all, because I've found a new friend :) Love, Phaedriel - 05:58, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Border Collie Caption

Hi there. I've reverted the caption on the "working lines" border collie image from the border collie page. You've assumed that the dog in the image is "from working lines" based on the animal's appearance rather than knowledge of the actual dog. In fact, the dog is a working dog\show dog offspring and the distinction is usually made by the politicos on both sides of that argument. Drop me a note if you have any questions! CMacMillan 03:13, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you on a couple of points. The dog does conform to the AKC standard with possible fault (point loss) for oversize ears, but of course he does not fit the breed champion mould that has become expected; the stereotypical "show" border collie. Its body type - withers, 10:9 ratio, muzzle/head size - colour, and bearing fit with the breed description.
My second issue is that the caption entry must be factually correct, and the fact is that the dog is not strictly from working lines. While it may photographically illustrate a point you were trying to make it doesn't factually do so. CMacMillan 17:39, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

AR template

Hi vanTucky, you're adding the AR template to pages where it already exists. :-) SlimVirgin (talk) 23:38, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

You said: " Please do not delete content from articles on Wikipedia, as you did to Mosquito. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for test edits."

That page contains copyright violations. Please do not undo the copyvio notice unless and until you have resolved the copyright violation. --Yamla 02:06, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Specifically, the "Floral or Fruity" bit is stolen rather blatantly as a direct copy-and-paste (not even fixing the grammar). I was unable to determine the scope of the violations. --Yamla 02:09, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
You said: "Uh, did you not know that sites like about.com regularly copy direct content from Wikipedia articles? It's called mirroring, and it's extremely common as Wikipedia is licensed under the GDFL. It's not a copy vio."
I know a lot of sites do but that particular page claims to have been written by Anne Marie Helemstine and the page indicates the copyright belongs to The New York Times Company. The text has been on that page since 2003 and was only introduced into the Wikipedia in the past few days. Are you sure that they are mirroring the Wikipedia article? It does not seem to be the case this time. --Yamla 02:13, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

I do, by the way, appreciate your time to inform me about mirroring. I'm certainly aware of mirroring but most people are not and so you taking your time to point this out is much appreciated. About.com in particular does indeed tend to mirror a lot of Wikipedia's content, just not this particular article (it seems). --Yamla 02:20, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Dalmatian

Hi there,

I fully agree with you comment about Wikipedia being an encyclopedia and not a gallery. That is precicely why i uploaded the pictures I did. Nearly all of should look like. I felt them to be exactly what you described--a pet gallery. I realize everyone loves their pets, but considering it is an encyclopedia, I believe it would be more fair to the reader to provide good, encyclopedic quality pictures of Dalmatians. I don't want to get in a war over the page--but I would like to at least include a good head shot and the frontal veiw photo. I also think that a few of the other images should be removed--they are not good quality pictures and don't represent what the ideal Dalmatian should look like.Mllefantine 03:03, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

FR

The main guide on how to write up source material is WP:CITE, which says that FR or EL are both fine. SlimVirgin (talk) 03:18, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

It is often inappropriate because books and papers are included as well as links, so please leave them alone. Also, please revert your doubling up of the templates. SlimVirgin (talk) 03:21, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Further reading/external links is for material suggested as further reading that has not been used as source material. Only one section of such material is required. People aren't stupid; they can see whether something is a link or not without having two headers telling them what they're looking at. SlimVirgin (talk) 03:26, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Araucanas

Hi, Van Tucky. Yesterday, I updated the 'Chickens in South America' section of the Chicken page. You did a clarification. Thanks for that. I then altered that a bit, I hope, so that the statement would be a bit more accurate. I hope I did not offend you. I did it because most people, I think, who investigate these matters even a little believe Europeans were coming to the Americas before Columbus (I actually think the Basques had been fishing the Grand Banks for centuries before Columbus [that's not for sure], and it's now clearly established that the Vikings made it to Canada.)

Thanks, and best wishes.

Kentucky

Hi VanTucky, thanks for pointing out my inappropriate joke at Talk:Sauna#Health_benefits. After visiting your user page, I want to point out that there are a lot of good people, and Wikipedians, from Kentucky. Have you read WP:USER? I think it would be nice if you kept your user page more positive. --Allen 03:39, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Image at House Mouse

Hello. I notice you force sized the image at house mouse. Are you aware that thumbnailing an image permits users to choose which size they prefer their images to be (via their preferences tab), while force-sizing it takes this option away from them? See Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Images. Rockpocket 23:04, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

OK, no problem. Thanks for letting me know. Rockpocket 23:27, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Chelada/ Michelada

Hey! Take what I say here with a grain of salt, as I don't drink alcohol and therefore my knowledge about beverages is severely limited. Anyway, at least in Mexico City (and central Mexico), I've never heard of a "chelada", so I'd have to say that "michelada" is the more common term. However as the article about michelada says, there are several variations; and contrary to what you mentioned from the magazine, a michelada here in Mexico City encompasses something as simple as beer with lemon juice and salt frosting on the glass's rim.

Hope this helped! Roadmr (t|c) 00:27, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Hey VanTucky -- whoah on the removals there; I see some of your concerns, but I think much of the material is still appropriate. If it's alright with you, I could try to clean up the sections to address any concerns you have rather than deleting them. Mackan79 17:31, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi, apologies, I didn't mean to suggest you did anything wrong. I just think I can improve some of the material so it won't need to be removed. I'm happy to discuss on the talk page; I think I'm just going to try editing it, though, and then you can change back as necessary if you disagree. Best, Mackan79 17:49, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

Welcome

Dear van tucky, thank you for your welcome, I am a rank beginner obviously. I am a keeper of soay sheep and must admit to frustration when I see so much misinformation repreated about Soay sheep on the Internet as some of it has been here on wikipidia. Surring is a very important genetic characteristic in Soay sheep and one which scientists are beginning to link to survivability in the wild. While one may want to link scurring to horns in a variety of other animals, it doesn't really explain scurring in Soay sheep. I was trying to make than point while not undoing someone else's linking. It is also now widely accepted, based on archeological evidence from Hirta, that the Vikings probably did not bring the Soay to St. Kilda, that they predate them by as much as one thousand years or more. If you can facilitate these corrections I would apprecite it. Thank you very much soayenthisiast

How to delete Wikipedia images I uploaded as I want to put them on Wikimedia?

Hi

I uploaded some photos of my dachshund who is an unusual color to put on the Dachshund wiki page. The last 3 are the same - I uploaded them by mistake and can't delete them. I have since discovered Wikimedia Commons. Can you assist by deleting ALL 4 images on Wikipedia, keep the 1 image on Wikimedia, and on the Dachshund wiki, point to the Wikimedia image instead of the Wikipedia one? Or tell me how I can do this. Thanks a lot! :) Erwinloh 22:45, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

I think you just add {{db-self}} to the images you want deleted. I'll check, and get back to you if I'm wrong. - G1ggy Talk/Contribs 23:03, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
You could also use {{db-meta|REASON}} . Just add one of those templates to the image page and they'll be deleted eventually. - G1ggy Talk/Contribs 23:07, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Finally found it. Tag with {{NowCommons|month=June|day=13|year=2007|1=Template:Ncd}}. See Template:NowCommons for more info. - G1ggy Talk/Contribs 23:10, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your help, I've added the {{db-self}} tags to the 3 images I want deleted and the {{NowCommons|month=June|day=13|year=2007|1=Template:Ncd}} tag to the 1 image I have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. :) Let's see what happens. Erwinloh 02:39, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Erwin: You're welcome. And it's all bee done now, the appropriate images have been deleted.
VanTucky: Erwin used {{helpme}}, and notice came up on #wikipedia-en-help, so I responded to it. - G1ggy Talk/Contribs 04:48, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
G1ggy: Thanks a lot for your assistance. The unwanted images have been deleted. The one image I have copied to Wikimedia Commons remain but I assume that will also be deleted after 1 week if I understand how it works. Btw, I am also an Aussie.  :) Erwinloh 22:42, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Deleting Border Collie Images

HI

I agree with your reasons for deleting the image of a Border Collie competing in agility, but I did think it was a useful image because it illustrated a good example of a brown and white dog. I recently met an owner of a brown and white dog that paid $50 for the pup because the show dog breeder considered the animal a "dud" because it was not black and white. Too many people think that all Border Collies must be black and white and I thought the Wikipedia article was a good opportunity to correct that misconception. Perhaps a solution would be to swap the image of the brown and white dog with the image of the black and white dog competing in a flyball demonstration. Tophonic 00:48, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Steven, I realize you're a deletionist among other things so I placed the Catahoulas in a photo gallery, perfectly allowed in Wikipedia. Noles1984 17:52, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Here. I just had to do it. No one can make you out. Size: 492 x 480. Utilize it or delete quickly. Noles1984 18:08, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
