Review
Hi, Steve,
I'd added a review to your... well, review. I've also posed a question. Might you consider reviewing me?
Also, you may want to add the {{editor review}} banner to your page, to advertise your review to those you work with. --King ♣ Talk 14:35, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Retirement
Steve, I just wanted to let you know I am leaving Wikipedia. Mostly it has to do with the fact the one article I joined to rewrite and watch over from vandals no longer is of concern to me. I am not in the mood to explain why (whenever I do all I get is hate anyway), so let’s just leave it as it is because I am taking a stand for what I believe in. I doubt I would considering coming back anytime soon. This was my 4th account over the years (none were ever in use at the same time) , and none of the experiences were every very good, although this one wasn’t too bad. Good luck with the 24 pages. --MiB-24 (talk) 00:04, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry to see you go. Editing can get tough at times. If you ever wish to return, I'd be happy to work with you again. All the best in real life, Steve Crossin The clock is ticking.... 00:16, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Sorry for not getting back to you, I've been away a lot these past few weeks. There really aren't any pages I am concerned with anymore; although someone(s) has decided it is fun to vandalize my user page over something which occurred on another website. I guess it might have to be protected if this troublemaker refuses to stop. I don't really know anything about page protection, so if it continues, I might need to ask for some help. Thanks. --MiB-24 (talk) 17:50, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Hey Steve, just wanted to say thanks for helping to stop the vandal from hitting my page. Have a good one. --MiB-24 (talk) 02:01, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Re: [1]. I had a usurpation request for Steve knocked back because it had one reverted edit. How pissed was I when I saw they eventually gave it to someone else!? Shall we start the opposes on principle? ;) --Stephen 11:01, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Nah, he's a good editor otherwise:) Steve Crossin The clock is ticking.... 11:56, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- So I'm guessing that "Oppose per too many Steves already" wouldn't go over so well? ;) — Ched : ? 12:01, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'd like to see you try. Steve Crossin The clock is ticking.... 12:06, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Somehow I think I might be just a bit outnumbered ... Coffee is prolly as close as I could come to any backup. ;) — Ched : ? 12:08, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Adoption 2
Steve if you still wish to adopte me i will accepte it. --Pedro thy master (talk) 03:51, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- Alright, great. We will get started immediately. I'd like to know a bit about you, your interests, and why you chose to start editing Wikipedia. I'm Steve, I co-ordinate the WikiProject that deals with articles related to 24, and I obviously edit the articles a lot, altough I've recently been doing behind-the-scenes things. I began editing Wikipedia because I wanted to add my knowledge to the site, and to help improve Wikipedia. (My first edit was actually fixing a typo). What do you like doing on Wikipedia? Also, what name do you generally go by on Wikipedia? (Pedro is an admin that has been here for a long time, so you might want to go by another name). After you've answered this, we will get started with the basics.
- It's important to note that I reply to all messages on my talk page, so add it to your watchlist.
- If it's acceptable to both Pedro and Steve, I'll likely follow along as well. The more we work together, the more we can learn from each other. ;-) — Ched : ? 11:29, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- Buddy, we talked about this on the phone :p. It's fine if you plod along. I'm writing up a policies lesson. What I've got so far is here. Steve Crossin The clock is ticking.... 11:36, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

- Ummm .. OK ... I haven't had a "text" in a while. :P — Ched : ? 12:06, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Adoption 3
Hi Steve, as you can tell my name is pedro, i am not from USA, and my original language is spanish, and i started editing wikipedia becuase i would like to help with some articals of some areas that i have expirience on. --Pedro thy master (talk) 15:00, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- Alright, that's a good start. Now, I'm currently working on a new lesson, Policies. It's not finished yet, I should have it finished today. I've asked more editors to add their input.
I haven't finished yet, so I'd ask you to just read over the following pages.
Just go over those to start off with. Read them carefully. There will be more to come soon. Best, Steve Crossin The clock is ticking.... 23:49, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
List of 24 episodes
I'm sorry, but my edit of removing the category was valid, as 24 is not animated. --70.144.232.124 (talk) 02:32, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Indeed, you are right. Facepalm. Steve Crossin The clock is ticking.... 02:35, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
24. Zero
Do you think makeing a 24 Zero artical would be a good idea. -- Pedro J (talk) 23:14, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Probably not. I'll explain the reasons in my first adoption lesson, but generally, articles need to be notable, and be well referenced, in order to be on Wikipedia. It's somewhat complicated, but I'll explain it more later. Keep an eye on my talk page, as I'll be writing more soon. Steve Crossin The clock is ticking.... 23:17, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- I see, ok thanks. -- Pedro J (talk) 23:19, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Business
The big thing is "DO NOT quit your day job". Self employed is a much bigger pain than you would think. Now - on to the topic at hand. I'll write up something in the next day or two, but for starters:
- Get a copy of ERD Commander
- Have copies of good AV and security software
- Get a couple thumb-drives
- Get a couple external drive bays for both IDE (PATA) and SATA drives
- Don't get in the habit of "giving" your abilities away.
- Don't try to "stock up" on current hardware - its value decreases too fast
I'll follow up ASAP — Ched : ? 11:45, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Adoption Offer
Hi Steve Crossin. Ah well my adoption tag is rather out-dated (should have removed it)—I'm not a new user to Wikipedia by any means but only recently started actively contributing with an account. I don't really require adoption any longer, although I DO have some questions about some miscellaneous things and wouldn't mind having a sounding board... 8-) 00:35, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- Well, a brush up on some things always helps, I figure. Have a quick peek at User:Steve_Crossin/Adoption and tell me if there's anything there you think you'd find helpful. Best, Steve Crossin The clock is ticking.... 00:38, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
New signature
Hey steve i see you have a new sig, I have one to see.Pedro thy master = --Pedro J. the rookie 00:04, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Arbitration

Lessons
Hey steve, I was wondering if youed hd any lessons that youed like to teach me. --Pedro J. the rookie 01:44, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- I do, but i am afraid the first and most important lesson is still incomplete, so I can't teach much yet. Feel free to ask me any questions till then. Steve Crossin The clock is ticking.... 21:40, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Family Guy
i know you may not be familiarsed with fG, but can you take a look at it to see how can i improve it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pedro thy master (talk • contribs)
- The best thing to start off with would be to look through Google News for topics related to Family Guy, and build up a list of references. It's what I do when I want to do article work, but I've not done article work for ages. Then what I tend to do is look at each reference and see what can be used from it, in what article. Does that make sense? Steve Crossin The clock is ticking.... 22:07, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
PR mediation/project
I posted a note on Sunray's user page, but I see you're active so I'll post this here too:
- If you have a chance I think the WP:RAWAT effort is at an important stage. The book, Peace is Possible, is very contentious and there's already signs of editors talking past each other. A neutral party could really help in getting editors to address each other's concerns and help us achieve a consensus. Specifically, Wikipedia:WikiProject Prem Rawat/Current article issues#Cagan/PIP. Last year we wrote over 50,000 words on the topic. Though we uncovered a considerable amount of information about the source, we didn't achieve consensus. (Also, perhaps some resolved threads could be archived to keep the focus on the active issue.)
If either or both of you can help provide some outside guidance we might have a better chance of achieving consensus. Will Beback talk 22:20, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- I was actually skimming over that just a moment ago, and was about to chip in there. Will do so now. Steve Crossin The clock is ticking.... 22:27, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- Great timing. Will Beback talk 22:34, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
24 Season 8
I understand what you are saying with the source for the charcters returning but if there is no additional information to add to the article other than just a head then having the header alone is purly decoration and information which can be included in the lead.--Lucy-marie (talk) 22:09, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
