ANI
I think one is supposed to add an ani notice to people's talk pages that one mentions. I added them to those three. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 23:06, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
- My bad. Thanks StartOkayStop (talk) 23:07, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
- You're welcome! Thank you for that post. There seems to be a bit of "cleanup" by others as well. Nothing overtly obvious. Adakiko (talk) 23:13, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
- A new anon. Same person, was there an APB? a bit different location. Adakiko (talk) 23:15, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
- The new anon is a mobile IP. Makes me wonder if it's the same person who hopped on their phone to edit. At this point, it's tough to tell if it's the same person with multiple IPs, or separate people from the same organization. StartOkayStop (talk) 23:22, 16 July 2022 (UTC)

About Dahomey
Thanks for the advice that you gave me on Dahomey. You see, there existed two states called "Dahomey", one was a kingdom and the other was a republic. Both of them are now part of modern Benin. People often confuse these two Dahomeys and think that only the kingdom or the republic was the true Dahomey. So, I decided to make the "Dahomey" page a disambiguation page, saying that it may refer to either the kingdom or the republic, to avoid future confusions. Dorrough618 (talk) 04:53, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Dorrough618 I see. Please note that you should not perform a cut and paste move on an article. Instead, you should move the page to a different title, to preserve its edit history. StartOkayStop (talk) 04:59, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

Not unexplained?
You reverted me for unexplained content removal

- I actually pressed the wrong button. Didn't mean to revert you there, and I immediately followed up by restoring the revision by Cannolis. Hope that clears things up. StartOkayStop (talk) 22:04, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

Cease and desist
Hi there my name is Morgan Grandon. I am one of Fall Out Boy’s managers. I see that you have been removing my edits on Wikipedia. I would like you to cease and desist, I am trying to give one of their songwriters credit per the request of Pete Wentz. Thank you so much. Have a nice night. 35.143.190.63 (talk) 03:13, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) If you are one of Fall Out Boy's managers, you have a conflict of interest and are presumably being paid for your services. This means that you have no business editing articles on Wikipedia concerning your client. Also, please avoid using terms like "cease and desist" unless you intend them to be regarded as a legal threat, in which case your ability to edit Wikipedia will be blocked immediately. General Ization Talk 03:22, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hello Morgan, thank you for letting me know. Unfortunately, I have had to revert your edits because you have not provided |reliable and verifiable sources to prove this. In addition, you also have other edits that could be considered vandalism including [1] (where you have stated someone has died without providing any sources, which is a big no-no on Wikipedia,) [2] where you have vandalized the section about you on ANI, and [3]. Any edits you make must be backed up by reliable sources. If you are connected to the band or have been paid by them, you must follow the terms at WP:COI or WP:PAID. Please let me know if you have any other questions. StartOkayStop (talk) 03:24, 4 August 2022 (UTC)

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:31, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
How it is unconstructive? You have read my edit summary? Without doing any edit or content research don't revert someone's edits. Please search in google before reverting and kindly restore it back. 103.251.217.177 (talk) 18:32, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- Please see the edit history for the page. Resolutions to disagreements should be solved by reaching consensus on the talk page. I am not personally invested in this dispute, so I suggest you try talking with other editors to resolve the conflict and to make sure you don't get involved in an edit war. The Dead Daisies
Hi, I am trying to remove content on this page that is inaccurate as I know the person in question who is a friend, however I keep getting messages warning me to stop removing content. The whole first paragraph is incorrect apart from the opening line of 'The Dead Daisies are an Australian-American hard rock band formed in 2012 in Sydney, Australia'. Please remove it or let me do that as the person concern may consider taking legal action if it is not removed. RedelkMark (talk) 23:06, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- @RedelkMark: Hello, first, it is never appropriate to threaten legal action on Wikipedia; doing so will get you nowhere. Secondly, if you have a personal connection to an article, it's best to try and talk with other editors on that article's talk page in order to avoid any conflicts of interest. I understand wanting to remove content that is incorrect, and since that part of the paragraph seems unsourced, that is not usually something that will be controversial. However, as you can see in the warning templates placed on your user talk page, you should never remove sections of content without adequately explaining why. As you did not use an edit summary, it was inferred that your edits were vandalism. (see Wikipedia:Vandalism#Blanking,_illegitimate) Before you edit more, I encourage you to read Wikipedia's policies on conflict of interest, paid editing disclosure, and how to write an edit summary. Thanks, StartOkayStop (talk) 23:17, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- There was no threat of legal action, it is something I know the person that is being wrongly written about on the page would consider if it was not removed. So far every time even though I am put explanations in, its still being replaced. I would very much appreciate if the content in question is removed. RedelkMark (talk) 23:22, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- @RedelkMark: Again, please discuss this change on the talk page for the article. And please also remember that creating new accounts or using different IPs to bypass the block will only make it more difficult for you to help get the change you want implemented. (Also: saying that your "friend may consider taking legal action" can still be interpreted as a legal threat.) StartOkayStop (talk) 23:26, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- I have edited this page for a good few years and I am not in the game of creating different personas. Unfortunately Wikipedia lets anyone edit a page and this is where it becomes full of inaccurate information. RedelkMark (talk) 23:28, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- I'm sorry you feel that way. You say that you have edited the page for a good few years but your account was created earlier today? Are you aware that abusing multiple accounts is against the rules? StartOkayStop (talk) 23:40, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- I usually just go on quickly and edit without logging in and I when I decided to login a forgot my password so it was easier to create a new one. You will see my emails are both redelk.co.uk, hardly international espionage. I am totally transparent and just trying to remove something which is highly inaccurate which if you are educated enough and read it would see exactly where I am coming from. RedelkMark (talk) 23:45, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, since I have no personal investment in the band, all I saw was someone trying to remove a paragraph without providing any explanation. In any case, I have already provided a path for you to try and get your change implemented, so there's no purpose in continuing a discussion here. Thanks, StartOkayStop (talk) 23:49, 5 September 2023 (UTC)

My own article
I have full responsibility for what i write about my YouTube channel. Please remove the speedy deletion Jac Clow (talk) 17:16, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, I understand wanting to make an article about yourself but this is discouraged on Wikipedia. Also, since you weren't able to indicate the importance (see WP:CCS) of the subject, it qualified for speedy deletion. If you still want to make the article, I recommend creating it as a WP:Draft or in your WP:Userspace, and then submitting it through the WP:Articles for Creation process. Let me know if there's anything else you need help with. StartOkayStop (talk) 17:21, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
Draft: Cameron Driggers
Hi there,
I am very confused and am seeking clarification. My first article was initally accepted and published, and now has been deleted as a draft. The editor who did this did not provide any reasoning upon request or let me know how it can be improved. I resubmitted again and have noticed you left a comment that says 'no changes made". Please itemize what changes need to be made so that I can work on them. Mrwriter2.0 (talk) 02:18, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
- I said "No changes made" because no change was made from when the article was draftified to when it was submitted again. Obviously, there would be no point in accepting the article if it may just be draftified again. The reasoning behind it being draftified in the first place is located on your other account's talk page. StartOkayStop (talk) 02:21, 8 September 2023 (UTC)

Willa (short story)
Hello, thanks for your message.
My view of an encyclopedia is to provide a visitor with more information and not leave them in the unknown. See that on many platforms. (Fb, Ig, Reddit etc.) There is something everywhere without a reference to where.
Is the removal unjustified? Probably for the visitor. But I leave that choice up to you.

About Hoda AlKhzaimi Biography Page
Thanks so much for your feedback. Could you please advise what should I do to make the information provided a neutral one and aligned with the Wikipedia's guidelines? Mahmoud Kishk29 (talk) 19:29, 20 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Mahmoud Kishk29: Check out Wikipedia:Your First Article and Help:Referencing for beginners. Your references are also not suitable as they are all primary sources, see Wikipedia:No original research. But yes, the main issue with the article and the reason I declined it is because of NPOV issues. Primarily, the article uses many peacock words which do nothing but promote the subject of the article. Sections like "Expertise in Cybersecurity and Cryptology" read more as essay headings rather than enclopedic headings (e.g. Personal Life, Career). MOS:STYLE has guidelines for sectioning your article. At its current state, I would say that the article needs a substantial rewrite to be suitable. Most of the content can be cut out or made more concise. Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia, and let me know if you have any other questions. (P.S. maintaining a neutral point of view is one of the 5 pillars of Wikipedia, so I would make absolutely sure your contributions aren't biased before you make them, especially if you are making them in the Article space. Typically an article like the one you made would be nominated for speedy deletion for being too promotional.) StartOkayStop (talk) 19:49, 20 September 2023 (UTC)
Draft: Alexander Sitkovetsky, rock guitarist
Hello StartOkayStop,
Thanks for your advice re: my draft page for submission. A couple of reference links about my bands and myself have already been included on my draft page. Please explain what is wrong with them and I will add some more. Also, my English page in Wiki is based on my Russian page in Russian Wiki:
This was translated, edited and updated but the Russian references were not included as they are irrelevant in English.
Please advise, your help is highly appreciated. Alexander Sitkovetsky 47.157.181.215 (talk) 00:50, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- You are allowed to use foreign language sources, however, that's not the only thing. Machine-translating articles without editing them or making WP:Manual of Style changes is discouraged. Additionally, the Russian Wikipedia has different requirements for notability. And please keep in mind that there are strict requirements for writing articles about yourself, which you can see at WP:Autobiography. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks, StartOkayStop (talk) 01:50, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
hie there, i dont think i had made a mistake. i just want a more accurate definition of linux than what is being forced down peoples throats. its 2023 many people will use linux without gnu if they want and we cant keep explaining linux as a system thats mandatory to contain gnu but the more realistic definition of it as just a kernel that you can take any way you want. if you feel its best to impose a very inaccurate meaning of our beloved liniux onto the newer generation of fans of who'm constantly try to point this very issue out.
