April 2014
Hello, I'm Katieh5584. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Colli Albani - Parco Appia Antica (Rome Metro), with this edit without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Katieh5584 (talk) 20:34, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 14
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Line D (Rome Metro), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Line A and Line C (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion declined: فادي السلامين
Hello Staglit. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of فادي السلامين, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: please do not tag foreign-language material as "nonsense". Read WP:CSD#G1: "This does not include... material not in English". Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 17:12, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
- The answer to your question that was briefly on my talk page is: no, just being in a foreign language is not a reason for deletion. See WP:NPP#Dealing with foreign language new pages. Often a Google translation is enough to get them speedied under WP:CSD#A7, but this one I have listed at WP:Pages needing translation, where it is possible that someone may pick it up and translate it. If it sits there for two weeks without being translated, it gets PRODded, and it may get zapped before that as a BLP-prod if no sources are added.
- Tagging as "Nonsense" should particularly be avoided for foreign-language articles, because the newbie author, who probably doesn't know that any other Wikipedias exist, might well feel insulted. There is a useful set of templates, many of them bilingual, at WP:PNT/T which can be used to point a new foreign-language contributor to his home Wikipedia. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 17:25, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
Oh okay, thanks.Staglit (talk) 17:26, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
speedy
I also just had to remove one of you speedy tags, on IPhone OS 3. You tagged it as "no context", which can only be used if it is limpossible to tell wha the article is about. This is obviously about that particular phone's operating system.
And ditto for Talladega State Park.
Please keep to the actual reasons for speedy deketion. I've been doing it for years, but Ifind it helps to frequently checkWP:CSD to make sure that I do not drift from them. I also frequently check WP:Deletion policy. DGG ( talk ) 05:59, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
prod
1871 in Brazil is a normal year in ... article, & I have removed the prod We have many thousands such, (the easiest way to tell is to look at the box at the bottom of the article) and it is a well-accepted type of article, at least if thee are more than 2 events (2events is sometimes questioned; 1 event is often questioned; no events is usually deleted) "No relevance" is not a reason for deletion. You've been using that phrase repeatedly, sometimes for articles where there is a reason to delete, but it is not clear to me what WP guideline or policy you mean it to be referring to. If you mean " non-encyclopedic " for any of the reasons in WP:NOT, say so , and explain just which reason it is., If you mean "no notability", say so. DGG ( talk ) 16:31, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Deletion Opposition
This page should not be speedily deleted because... (Hi, I am still waiting for data, pictures and other information to be added to this page. I believe that Jonny Aitken should be in encyclopedia as he is one of the best drummers in the UK and he's recently joined, November 2013, the Rock band Spiritualizede. Could you please put the page back. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tonydalbon (talk • contribs) 22:25, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
Respect for the work of others
I had added entries for dozens of metro systems, and updated tens of references, making all dates in the long form, and I find it rather idiotic to have my changes reversed. Die, moron. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.21.150.95 (talk) 17:29, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
- 87.21.150.95; Firstly, I did not revert your edits. Secondly, it is common knowledge on Wikipedia that you cannot make any changes without consensus from the group. If it is determined that your way was better, we can revert the revert and make it back. But really, deleting everything and changing system length to Penis length is not the way to handle this like the mature person like I'm sure you are. :) Have a nice day.Staglit (talk) 20:26, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Be_bold & http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Ignore_all_rules ... But I guess these rules do not apply anymore. Funny how people refuse help when they get it. Good luck. 82.55.81.194 (was: 87.21.150.95(?))
- 87.21.150.95, you don't understand WP:MOSDATE - it explicitly makes allowances for ISO date formatting for reference 'accessdate' parameters. Indeed, ISO dates are usually (though not always) the standard for reference accessdates around Wikipedia. What I can't figure out is why you started changing those when no one asked you to, and when that wasn't the focus of Staglit's Sandbox project... You're obviously new to Wikipedia - take a few days off, relax, and when you come back, register for a full account, and feel free to contribute. But, as Staglit says, remember that not everyone is going to like every single one of your edits, so the way to go about that is to try to win people over to your side with positive arguments rather than having a 'hissy fit' like you did here. WP:CONSENSUS is what rules in editing Wikipedia. Please understand that this unsolicited advice is actually meant to be constructive advice for you... P.S. Please remember to sign all talk page messages with four tildes. P.P.S. "Ignore all the rules" is actually terrible advice - I don't know who came up with that, but I'd... ignore it. --IJBall (talk) 22:43, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
