Possible Options for Wiki Project
[edit]Mary Jane Sherfey - I like the research that Dr. Sherfey conducted, and she seems to have had a fairly important part in the research of human (specifically female) sexuality. However, I am having a hard time finding various articles written by or about her, but I will keep searching.
LouAnn Gerken - Dr. Gerken did a lot of very valuable research about linguistics and language development, and she seems to have published a lot of research articles. But I know that I need to find better secondary sources for wikipedia, so I will have to look into her a little more as well. She also hasn't been very influential in the general history of psychology though, because she is currently only 59 years old.
I'm still searching though! Squid31 (talk) 19:26, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
I looked at a few different topics, but realized that it will probably be much easier to learn the formatting as well as more straightforward to focus my wiki project on a person in Psychology. I do like the two women above as options, but would feel more comfortable searching around a bit more. 174.126.15.120 (talk) 03:10, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
1. Harlene Anderson - This is my first choice. I am immensely interested in marriage and family therapy, as it is the field I am hoping to go into after I finish my Bachelor's Degree. I would love to learn more about Dr. Anderson's life and how her work has changed therapy for the better. Not only this, but I also have found some reliable resources to help build my citations, such as interviews done with her abut her research and life as well as plenty of her published works. I am hopeful that this will be a very interesting topic to focus on for the semester. 174.126.15.120 (talk) 03:31, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
2. Jessica Henderson Daniel - This is my second choice. Dr. Daniel has done an extensive amount of work in the field of psychology to help promote the voices of marginalized people within Psychology, which is something I respect a lot and am also interested in. There is a lot of information about her career, her life, and the awards and publications she has that can be found through various reliable resources. 174.126.15.120 (talk) 03:48, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
I realize looking back at my previous edits that I wasn't logged in! I'm very sorry and will avoid this issue in the future. Now I know. Squid31 (talk) 03:54, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
Feedback from Dr. Council: Harlene Anderson looks like a great choice! Lots of potential for improvement. J.R. Council (talk) 17:35, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
