Speedy deletion nomination of Richer unsigned
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Richer unsigned requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. - MrX 14:44, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Prior to being tagged for speedy deletion, the article had also been tagged as unreferenced and uncategorised. I deleted your article because
- it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources closely associated with the company are obviously not independent.
- it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: The company is committed ... million strong mailing list...
- you don't help yourself my not linking to, eg Q magazine, which has its own article
- on the information you have provided, its impossible to tell if it is genuinely notable or just another website. You don't say where the company is based (not even a country), how many staff it employs or how it is financed.
I hope this helps Jimfbleak - talk to me? 17:42, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
Richer Unsigned page
[edit]- Put your references in line so we can see what fact each ref is supporting. Format is <ref>[url description]</ref>.
To display the list, put {{reflist}} as the only content of your References section.
- The Richersounds site is not an independent source. Blogs and other social media are never acceptable sources
- Don't forget to link to other Wikipedia pages (see my previous comments
- There is no indication of how the project is funded
- I'm going to move the text from my talk page to your sandbox for you to work on there before moving it to article space

- Wikipedia articles are not acceptable as references, and should be wikilinked rather than using refs. I've fixed all those
- The other refs will look better if you add a description, put <ref>[url description]</ref> rather than just <ref>url</ref>
- It looks a bit underreffed. What about the Sennheiser bit, that could have a ref?
- It looks a bit thin at the moment, you might get away with it, but a few more independent refs would help notability Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:04, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
