Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:Kourtney Kardashian 2020.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kourtney Kardashian 2020.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 16:45, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Kourtney Kardashian 2020.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/1374398/kourtney-kardashian-new-curves-weight-gain-green-robe/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please make sure images you find on Commons were good to upload - File:DIXIE.jpg appears to have been copyrighted and I have flagged it as such. SK2242 (talk) 01:51, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm SNUGGUMS. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 13:53, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Scott Disick. Thank you. Adrian J. Hunter(talkcontribs) 12:45, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is User who has not communicated. Thank you. SK2242 (talk) 13:23, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nicki Minaj, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page VMA. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:25, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Alison Hammond.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Alison Hammond.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 13:25, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Alison Hammond.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Alison Hammond.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:22, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Communication

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is a collaborative project that requires communication. Concerns about file uploads and unsourced edits have gone unanswered. It would be helpful, though not sufficient, for you to use edit summaries. You can set your preferences to always require an edit summary so you don't forget. Please address these concerns at the related AN thread. Until you do answer these concerns, I'm afraid I will need to block you from article space. Best, --Deepfriedokra (talk) 13:09, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing certain namespaces ((Article)) for failure to communicate.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.   --Deepfriedokra (talk) 13:13, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Hi, i'm not sure as to why I have been blocked. I don't use Wikipedia that often so I haven't read any guides on how to use it. My intentions are not to vandalize, I just want to help keep Wikipedia updated. I would appreciate it if I was unblocked. Moving forward I will read the correct guides on how to always make sure my edits are suitable. Spookyh17 (talk) 11:52, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You are blocked for lack of communication. You need to commit to communicating in future. I am declining this request. PhilKnight (talk) 12:26, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Please read the message I left about sourcing, uploading copyrighted material, and communication. Please address these concerns. Thanks, --Deepfriedokra (talk) 13:04, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

PhilKnight How can I commit to communicating in the future if my request to be unblocked was declined?

Well, could you please set your preferences to require an edit summary? Agree to communicate when issues are raised? Can you please affirm you will make no more unsourced edits? Can you please affirm that you will no longer upload images copyrighted elsewhere? What does it mean when we say, "all content must be licensable under CC BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL". Thanks, --Deepfriedokra (talk) 13:25, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I will make sure to give an edit summary, check copyright on images and communicate when needed to, apologies for not doing so before. Spookyh17 (talk) 13:48, 14 March 2021 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You are still demonstrating a lack of communication. Why aren't you answering Deepfriedokra's questions? You were literally blocked for your failure to communicate and haven't resolved the problems there, yet. Best we leave you blocked at this time. Yamla (talk) 18:29, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
