Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Coat of arms of Argentina, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tierra del Fuego Province (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Flag of the Karen National Liberation Army

[edit]

Do you have any photos or documents older than 2017 that show the use of the current KNLA flag? Most photos from the 20th century show KNLA troops wearing patches with the old flag (with the rising sun). CentreLeftRight 08:29, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

im going to be honest i havent once seen any actual source or any photos showing this older rising sun flag in existence outside of the patch, i'll take the L on the bicolor one maybe being out of date in some instances but i seriously havent seen anything showing that other one.

Union des Populations du Cameroun Flag.

[edit]

Hi, the flag posted is historically inaccurate. From my research, I've never seen speckles illustrated on the crab except on that peculiar version from crwflags . Everywhere else, the crab has been portrayed with a solid black body. This is a mock-up I made based on the crab used on party pamphlets circa 1959 to the early 70's: https://i.imgur.com/Pdet7Dg.png

As use can see here, the red used was a tad lighter on average: https://www.tchiweka.org/biblioteca/b-01502 https://www.tchiweka.org/biblioteca/b-01965

This is just a humble suggestion. If I knew how to add images on here I would try to add this one but I'm a bit busy at the moment. Njǐŋwɛ̀ (talk) 22:01, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

thank you! the artist based it on the FOTW illustration, ill let him know now! NorthTension (talk) 04:12, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sweet! The crab on my mock-up may not be proportionally centered. In case the artist finds this undesirable, I will attach the silhouette I used for it which came from a physical party pamphlet that I digitized: https://imgur.com/tJUQvjt Njǐŋwɛ̀ (talk) 04:29, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
when its made into an svg you can always center it with a button press so im not too worried; do you have a good idea for a shade of red to use or is the one in the mockup you sent the best? NorthTension (talk) 09:39, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps a #e60b1f would suffice. I approximated the color based on the varied livery donned among the post-1991"factions". Pictorial lighting may have misplaced my judgement, so I used this book published by the legitimate filiation of the party for a more concrete reference: https://scontent-atl3-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.18169-9/12289529_1062395443772498_4246445213096005489_n.jpg?_nc_cat=105&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=4dc865&_nc_ohc=YdXor3LosxwAX-y6cIS&_nc_ht=scontent-atl3-2.xx&oh=00_AfBZv2Fayd6VnRMRXCKIC1EUMF6dGgPdYdFn59w0tHkhXQ&oe=64FF2A01. UBD Flag

[edit]

Yeah I agree with you, it does make sense to not have a Flag in the Infobox for the United Baltic Duchy. After all, the state didn't exist for very long and most likely didn't even bother to design a Flag during that time period. Ironzombie39 (talk) 21:48, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
