i know it was ages ago, but in this template edit your edit summary was "period". In English English (or British English) it is called a "full stop". Were you joking? Machete97 (talk) 18:36, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

in that case you will like this - third bullet point in the section. Machete97 (talk) 10:46, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
When i first read it i saw the "check" and moused-over the edit button - hesitated - then lol'd. Machete97 (talk) 11:44, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Hims photos!

Hi Spencer. I'm afraid I am not currently in Syria and won't be going there in the near future. I will take another look in my collection to see if I already have stuff that may replace these. I will also email the photographer and ask if he can change the license on these photos. Yazan (talk) 04:52, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Hey Spencer, Could you have a look at the nomination again, I had not clarified some details which are now present. Thanks --Muhammad(talk) 10:12, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

RFA

Hi Spencer, belated post holiday thanks for your support and nice comments in my RFA, which passed by an embarrassingly wide margin. There's a full glitzy Oscar style version of my acceptance speech here. "WSC's edits pop up rather unnervingly often on my watchlist" I think with our relative standings in the cup you have little to fear from me! WereSpielChequers 17:52, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. Sorry, I guess I should have been there to finish what I started but I went offline for a few moments as I thought I might explode with bewilderment. Am I deserving of this one since you have done much of the work. Anyway, here you go. I guess that's the last of my leftover ITN contenders sorted for now. --Candlewicke ST # :) 20:07, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Small, unimportant matter but, in attempting to separate the ITN archives, I made an error with my capitalisation. I have tried to mend this before adding the archive pages but the correct title with the small "n" in "News" redirects to the category and it also seems that categories cannot be moved. I wonder if you know how to fix this? --Candlewicke ST # :) 02:48, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Thank you very much. --Candlewicke ST # :) 20:57, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Hims GA pass!

Glad to hear the good news and thanks for the barnstar! Without your copyeditting and source verifications, I don't think Hims would have passed, so shukran! An FA might be difficult for Hims due to the lack of official and other sources, but who knows. I'll see what Zozo thinks. He and I have recently moved on to Latakia and I hope you could join in there as well. If we do an FA on a Syrian city, I think it's best we use Damascus or Aleppo. Cheers! --Al Ameer son (talk) 01:02, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the Barnstar and your help on Hims. As for FA, I agree with Al Ameer, with the sources we have now it's going to be difficult. But at least I know what to look for the next time I am there. Salamat! Yazan (talk) 01:50, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Possible ITN

I think the title you're looking for is probably in the source's headline. 2009 West African meningitis outbreak? Possible stylistic comparisons to 2009 Bolivian dengue fever epidemic – although many more were affected by that one. Including a nomination link in your signature now? That sounds like a good idea... --Candlewicke ST # :) 21:57, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi again Spencer, in addition could you please place some sort of protection on this? I do my best to keep it tidy but it hasn't even been in the news this week and the amount of vandalism I've just removed was appalling... --Candlewicke ST # :) 23:07, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. --Candlewicke ST # :) 17:51, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
Hmmm... I'm currently trying to restore my battered reputation at DYK by attempting to take it over on Tuesday... but perhaps I shall take a look... --Candlewicke ST # :) 18:11, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
I've done a bit but when I googled it I discovered this epidemic happens every year... :-/ --Candlewicke ST # :) 18:45, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
