Stubs

[edit]

Hi. I notice you've created several Roman Catholic biography stubs. You might be interested to know that the {{stub}} tag is somewhat deprecated; it would be better if you used {{RC-bio-stub}}, as this will allow interested editors to find your work more easily. A full list of stub types is at WP:STUBS. Thanks. --Malthusian (talk) 17:09, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Marcello Amero D'Aste

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Marcello Amero D'Aste requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Infoboxes

[edit]

Thanks for adding the infoboxes. Please note, though, that Republican Party and Democratic Party are disambiguation articles -- they are not articles about the U.S. parties of these names. Those articles are Republican Party (United States) and Democratic Party (United States). Please link to the correct articles. Thanks. Ground Zero | t 01:42, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello SpeDIt! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 4 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 329 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Paul Whalen - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Edward Nowak - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  3. José Lai - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  4. Wangchuk Namgyal - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

The article Giovanni da Vercelli has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article has been tagged since 2008. If a reader can not verify the content, it should be deleted. My efforts to find a source did not produce a reference.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. My76Strat 03:34, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Todd Akin Wiki

[edit]

Hi SpeDlt. Saw you had altered Todd Akin's Wiki with "William" as his first name. Just curious as to your source on this. I didn't see any mention of it on your edit. Just want to make sure we keep the Wiki as accurate as possible. Thanks, and have a great Wiki kind of day! Sector001 (talk) 18:19, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Got your reply on my page. Thanks! That page may prove to be a repeat valuable source. Winning! lol Sector001 (talk) 19:19, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

November 2012

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions. One of your recent contributions to Roman Catholic Diocese of Cloyne has been reverted or removed, because it contains speculative or unconfirmed information about a future event. Wikipedia has a policy called "Wikipedia is not a crystal ball", which discourages such edits. Please only add material about future events if it is verifiable, based on a reference to a reliable source. Thank you. Elizium23 (talk) 15:11, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mark Takai, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Episcopalian. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:03, 9 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm Xcia0069. SpeDIt, thanks for creating Louis Gustave De Russy!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Good start! The page could do with some citations in the text to show where the facts are coming from

Hello, SpeDIt. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Richard Randall (physician), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
