Semi-protect?
[1] [2] [3]… maybe we should have pending revisions or some other sort of protection on all film actors! Shreevatsa (talk)
- Done this, but preemptive protection is not something that's allowed, so if there's evidence on other such pages I'll protect. Problem is that it leaves a lot of articles unattended and the BLP vios stay on for long like on one page I found that the actor was a blue film actor before regular movies inserted right before a reference on personal life, so no one had even reverted it assuming it was sourced! —SpacemanSpiff 13:41, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
Hi SpacemanSpiff, the above user page contains similar material the user added in May last year to the Air India Express article, and a similar edit here was done by an IP (presumably the sock of this user). Please take a look. Thanks, —Abhishek Talk to me 18:10, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Mediation Cabal: Request for participation
Dear SpacemanSpiff/Archives/2011/March: Hi there! I'm NicholasTurnbull, your friendly mediator from the Mediation Cabal, a Wikipedia dispute resolution initiative that resolves disputes by informal mediation, discussion and advice from a volunteer. Someone's asked for our help, and mentioned you in the following request:
I'd like to invite you to join this mediation, if you wish to do so, and we'll see what we can do about getting this sorted out.
Please read the above request and, if you do feel that you'd like to take part, please make a note of this on the mediation request page.
Just so you know, it is entirely your choice whether or not you participate, and if you don't wish to take part in it that's absolutely fine. This is an informal mediation request and the Mediation Cabal doesn't sanction or discipline anyone.
If you have any questions relating to this or any other issue needing mediation, please do let me know; I'll try my best to help you out. Thank you very much. Best regards, NicholasTurnbull | (talk) 06:42, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
Problem article
Hi, sometime when you're free, can you take a look at Devaneya Pavanar? You may have heard of this person, but there seem to be a few crank theories involved, and the page seems to be written entirely as a glowing review. In particular, this edit removed some stuff, but I know little about this area. Shreevatsa (talk) 08:23, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Sinsen is back
His IP block expired sometime ago and he is now back - Konguproud (talk · contribs). Can you block him per WP:DUCK or should i open an SPI?--Sodabottle (talk) 07:27, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
- Done, SPI might be helpful still owing to the large sock factory and output. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 20:28, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
Block for sinsen's IP range
Our friend sinsen says just left me this message. Says he isn't going to stop now. Can you block the ranges 117.193.160.0/20 and 117.193.160.0/20 again?. --Sodabottle (talk) 16:31, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- Hmmm, I didn't do the range block earlier, TnXMan307 did it as there is some collateral damage to weigh (only CUs can check that). Can you check with him again? cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 16:37, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
List of South Asian inventions and discoveries
The article/list in the heading is already being discussed in a requested move discussion and yet User:Mar4d has gone ahead to create the article which has no consensus at this point. Can you help delete List of South Asian inventions and discoveries per WP:GAME and WP:FAITACCOMPLI? Zuggernaut (talk) 03:06, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
V. P. Singh administration
Please stop adding random articles to this category. The category is meant for core topics; a President does not become part of a Prime Minister's administration etc etc; a former prime minister being investigated does not make him part of the new administration etc. —SpacemanSpiff 05:59, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- Kindly avoid imputing randomness to attempts to improve at least some parts of the wiki. Rajiv was leader of the opposition during VP's premiership, R. Venkataraman invited VP to form a minority coalition govt. in India (a first in Indian constitutional history), Babri and Ramajanmabhoomi issues split his supports and the issues still seem not to have died out, etc. All these are core topics. Karnan (talk) 14:02, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- These are exactly that, random topics, so please stop this ridiculous over categorization. —SpacemanSpiff 15:12, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- Karnan, adding coalition partners, opposition leaders and everyone connected to a prime minister makes a category unmaintainable. Think about what happens if this logic gets extended to other prime ministers. virtually all major indian politicians will end up in multiple "XYZ administration" categories. --Sodabottle (talk) 16:32, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

Railway articles
Please delete Saroj Mail. There is no such train.Shyamsunder (talk) 22:23, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
and Pushkar Railway Network too. There does not exit such network or anything like that.Shyamsunder (talk) 18:13, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
- This one doesn't appear to be straightforward G3, although it may qualify as G5, let me check that. Meantime feel free to WP:PROD as a hoax. —SpacemanSpiff 18:23, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
Why reverting my edits?
Hi, why are you reverting my sourced edits on the Mughal Empire page, I have not implied or suggested anythign here I have just added facts with sources after full discussion, I will be reverting the edits after 24 hrs(3rr) coz i think the revert is not explained, plz explain what is wrong in these edits. HotWinters (talk) 08:28, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
- You are doing nothing but synthesizing multiple references to provide a view point that they don't provide individually. Just waiting 24 hours to do your next revert is not going to help, you've been explained everything in detail on the article talk page. Stop this disruptive behavior. You keep blanking the warnings, so this isn't the first time you've been alerted to this either. —SpacemanSpiff 08:31, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
Plz go through the talk page, its not me, who is pushiin his POV its the other user, check his language and biasness in his writing. I added the sources which were already available on the WP and on the page of mughal emperors like babur etc. What "view point" have i provided? HotWinters (talk) 08:33, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
I have edited the "early history" section which was highly under written, and wrote about the ethnicity and origin of the Mughals which the other use was against(for unknown reasons) rather than warning him for disruptive deletions you are deleting my edits, plz be a part of discussion on the talk page there.
