I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. Again, welcome! Blablubbs|talk 20:31, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
Where should I start if I want to contribute to Wikipedia? I had found a couple mistakes in one article but I would like to know where I could help! SomeoneOK (talk) 01:10, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hi there – sorry, I only saw this now. There are always things to do on Wikipedia – you may want to look at our task centre, which lists some great ways to contribute. Please let me know if I can help you with anything. (please use

[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to IP address blocking—because it did not appear constructive. Article titles
[edit]Article titles always use sentence case so you should not be moving them to not do so as you did with written language. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:06, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- I saw, thank you! SomeoneOK (talk) 20:07, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- In the future, please do not move move an article to a different title if it's simply a matter of capitalization as most of the time it's already correct to begin with. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:09, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- Alright, just noticed a majority of Articles seemed to follow all capitalization except for articles, so I thought it was wrong. SomeoneOK (talk) 20:16, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

WikiProject Medicine
[edit]A WP:WikiProject is a group of editors who like to work together on articles. You're welcome to join us at Wikipedia:WikiProject Medicine. It's a good place to ask questions or to help each other out. If you'd like to, you're also welcome to join the informal, low-key contest about adding citations to articles: https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/courses/Wikipedia/WikiProject_Medicine_reference_campaign_2023?enroll=qyoufwds (All you have to do is sign up at that link, and then edit normally. Everything else is automated.) WhatamIdoing (talk) 19:42, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- Tempting! I'll think about it. If there's stuff on immunology I may. SomeoneOK (talk) 19:47, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- Oh, please do! I saw your name in this list of recent edits because of your edits to Death, and I was particularly hoping that you would sign up. The contest covers anything that has {{WikiProject Medicine}} on the talk page (Category:All WikiProject Medicine articles lists them all – there are tens of thousands), and if you have a favorite article that is related to medicine but isn't tagged yet, then we can add it. WhatamIdoing (talk) 20:00, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- I think I will. I'm not entirely sure what article I want to improve if citations are what's needed if there's a category of articles that have citation tags and are related. I'll try and wipe as much as I can out. SomeoneOK (talk) 20:43, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- You don't have to select any particular article. But since you asked, 😇 it happens that we have this whole huge list, and if you can tell me what general subject area interests you, I could probably get you a shorter list. For example, this short list has an end-of-life theme and this short list is about women's health. WhatamIdoing (talk) 04:52, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
- If it's no burden to you, if there's an immunology list and a mental health list, those are the fields I have a "decent" knowledge of. SomeoneOK (talk) 14:21, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
- A Psychology-focused list is easy, although probably incomplete. Try this list for immunology (might be a little slow to load), or this list for molecular biology, if you're more interested in the MCB side of things. WhatamIdoing (talk) 02:16, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
- This list might be better for mental health. WhatamIdoing (talk) 02:17, 17 February 2023 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 16
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Death, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Springer. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
