DYK nomination of Sukumar Barman

Hello! Your submission of Sukumar Barman at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! SupernovaExplosion Talk 13:26, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

References/commentary

I just mentioned this to Drmies, he suggested speaking to you. The references in this section appear to be more commentary than based on cited sources, and probably not quite NPOV. I'm unsure what the best approach is here - if this is accepted fact, are there references we can use to support it? PuppyOnTheRadio talk 06:11, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

The commentary is a footnote from the 1888 edition of the manifesto, by Engels. It was a bit weird to just add it like that like a commentary in wiki, so I merged two refs for some clarity. --Soman (talk) 07:33, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
That was a scarily fast response. Thanks. PuppyOnTheRadio talk 08:02, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

NKP: Answer

Reidar T. Larsen, the NKP General Secretary, was elected to parliament in 1973, but they had no seats in 1976. Larsen was expelled from the party in 1975; he was accused of revisionism, and he became a member of the Socialist Left Party. So to answer you're question, they elected 1 person in 1973, but had no members in parliament in 1976. --TIAYN (talk) 15:54, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Are you saying that all the 15 other Sosialistisk Valgforbund MPs were non-NKP? --Soman (talk) 15:58, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
Yupp, the others came from the Socialist People's Party (Norway) and AIK, a large group expelled from the Norwegian Labour Party. NKP "died" already in the post-World War II 1940s when it began to expel several of the leading war heroes from the party. But yes, they had only one seat: i can double check if you want, should I double check? --TIAYN (talk) 16:07, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks! I found a reference now, based on the info you gave me. --Soman (talk) 16:13, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Vpkku1975.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Vpkku1975.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Puffin Let's talk! 20:26, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Politics of Tripura

Hi Soman! Will it be possible for you to develop an article Politics of Tripura. Or else, at least an article on overall "insurgencies" in Tripura. Basically, the article Tripura is being improved. We need to include due coverage on politics and political instability.--Dwaipayan (talk) 21:50, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

Yes, such an article would be useful. I could have a look on it, perhaps tomorrow. --Soman (talk) 21:52, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for starting the article. Hope it will expand gradually.--Dwaipayan (talk) 12:45, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
