Social Democratic Party
Soman, since you visited the Swedish Social Democratic Party site in May 2010, did you put the May 2010 "(This article) may need to be rewritten entirely to comply with Wikipedia's quality standards" atomic bomb tag at the top of the article? If so, will you clarify which sections you feel are inappropriate to a discussion of the political party, and what sort of focus you'd prefer to see, and why?Blanche Poubelle (talk) 19:18, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hi. It was not me to put the tag there, I will respond at the article talk page more in-dept. --Soman (talk) 19:20, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Proletarian Era
Was it "commercially published continuously for at least 10 years"? 180.149.48.245 (talk) 04:35, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
- Do note that you are quoting a proposal, not a guideline. I find the distinction commercial/non-profit publications in the proposal somewhat confusing (and quite U.S.-centric), and the proposal doesn't really establish a clear direction on how to deal with non-profit publications. Is Proletarian Era published commercially? I don't know, it is sold but whether it makes any profit I cannot say. However, do note the passage "If a periodical meets none of these conditions, it may still be notable" in the proposal. I'd say that a fortnightly periodical with half a century of history, with 10,000+ readers (conservative estimate), is notable enough to warrant a wikipedia article. --Soman (talk) 15:43, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
- So lets ignore the particular guideline and look at the basic notion (policy) of notability for inclusion in this encyclopaedia. Has this magazine received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject? Even the "half a century of history, with 10,000+ readers" require independent reliable sources as we cannot engage in original research here. 180.149.48.245 (talk) 05:00, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- Do differentiate between postings on a talk page and passages in an article. 10,000+ is an estimate of mine, considering that PE is distributed in some 15 states by the state level organizations of SUCI, it is a quite conservative estimate. PE is mentioned in http://books.google.com/books?id=u1obAAAAMAAJ, http://books.google.com/books?id=dmLpAAAAMAAJ, and various editions of http://books.google.com/books?ei=wktNTKehIMP7lwebsan2DQ (which seems to give little more info that contact and names of editors, though). Neither has preview at the moment, though. --Soman (talk) 09:10, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- PE is mentioned in some books; mostly in footnotes referring SUCI. It will also be mentioned in any list of (all) Indian periodicals in print. I have no doubt that it exists; but what is notable about it for inclusion in an encyclopedia? You can mention the "10,000+ estimate" in talk page but to have an article based on that reason, we need it mentioned in some reliable third party sources. 180.149.48.245 (talk) 13:09, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
- See reply below. --Soman (talk) 14:07, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

KPO
I'm boldly "using the force" on the fix, for sure. I'm a little scared that my retitling is going to raise a shitstorm, since there are about 50 links to the old name. As far as I know, new version is right and old version was a kind of lazy and imprecise truncation... I note that the first incarnation of the Lovestone group was "Communist Party USA (Opposition)," which is what got a bee in my bonnet in the first place. Not sure how much energy I'll have for the rewrite today, I've been on Brandler for a full day and need to take a break on something else for a bit. But at least there are some footnotes up now... You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Tigrayan People's Liberation Front. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Gyrofrog (talk) 21:09, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you. I'm well aware of the 3RR though, and two reverts within a 24-period is by means a violation of 3RR. --Soman (talk) 21:11, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
- My apologies, I counted another user's edit as your own. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 21:16, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
