Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Carbon fibers, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Carbon fibers. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 23:43, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

can you elaborate which part of my submission was wrong Socialcomplex (talk) 23:48, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, you may be blocked from editing. MrOllie (talk) 00:14, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

can you tell me how to improve my entry to stop getting it deleted. i need to submit a wikipedia edit for a homework assignment Socialcomplex (talk) 00:19, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia isn't a host for homework essays. Please direct your instructor to Wikipedia:Education program/Educators - there are standards for running a class on Wikipedia which don't seem to be being followed here, in particular your grade should not be contingent on an edit remaining in an article. MrOllie (talk) 00:21, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can you specifically identify what in my entry needs to be changed? I would also like my entry to remain on the page to show my efforts and citations. Feedback is helpful and much appreciated, but to my knowledge everything I have added is accurate and properly cited to be on par with Carbon Li-ion standards from the past few years Socialcomplex (talk) 00:26, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We've linked the policies above. MrOllie (talk) 00:31, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Someone else linked the policies above. The policies state vague reasons for what needs to be changed but does not show specific issues. I asked that person for feedback on what I should change. If you do not know what the original reviewer was intending with their feedback please do not just revert the article back without context. Socialcomplex (talk) 00:40, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You're adding text that isn't actually supported by the citations. MrOllie (talk) 00:52, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Which text specifically? I cited appropriately and did not add any personal opinions. Socialcomplex (talk) 01:06, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
