Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Tejas 3 view.gif has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
Thanks for uploading Image:Red-dot DRDO.PNG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

i do have an awesome suggestion for you. the longer your around wiki the more exposure you get to awesome things. take a look at this page, mini (its the first table after the external links) and scroll down and look at the first table they have! do you think that would be a better fit ? that way you can have an awesome table that clearly shows whats going on and its much shorter then your long stretched out one. PLUS you can have that table and now be able to discuss the description in your article without having to repeat what is already listed in the table. what do you think ? it might just be better to get this table up and looking good, then move on to more advanced things. Its up to you and if you think that table is cool and if you think you can do it. whatcha think ? Matthew Yeager07:08, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
I'll be back on in about 6 hours, just leave all teh questions you have on my talk page and i'll answer them all for you when i get back. Matthew Yeager07:10, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
all your changes seem to be good. make sure you continue to add information with references so that people know its supported with fact and not your opinion. very good summary for your revert to the article... suggesting that any thoughts be brought to the talk page, good stuff. the solution... let me know if you continue to have the need to revert the pages. I will then warn and take necessarily actions to keep your pages integrity. if you have any questions let me know. Matthew Yeager01:06, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
yea man feel free to use any layout your things you see on my pages... check out the userboxes and hiding them and showing htem. btw the contribution tab on your menu still goes to my contributions :P Matthew Yeager02:52, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
i have reverted the page back to your edits and you can check out his talk page : )
another unexplained vandalism edit and i'll report him to WP:AIV. for further cases, make sure you also put a message on their talk page about it. This may be a new users that doesnt know any thing about Wikipedia and never looks at history (so he never sees your changes) and maybe he never visits the talk page... therefore he thinks you are the vandal and keeps trying to fix what you are doing. Why doing you go to his talk and under my warning, explain whats going on and how he needs to first talk about the changes and then give references and whatnot. good luck, if you have any questions let me know. Matthew Yeager18:17, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
i took a look at the article. the revisions are from a large range of IPs and there have been 18 revision by them. this is too large of a range of IPs to block. as well this doesnt justify protection of the page... so we are stuck with watchlisting it and reverting vandalism as it occurs. unless 1) much more activity arises or 2) the editor uses a static IP address that we can block. :/ sorry for the bad news, i'll keep an eye on it as well, but i have almost 500 pages on my watchlist as i fight alot of vandalism. stick with it buddy. keep making improvements and dont let this guy discourage you! Matthew Yeager22:41, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Your Page
ay buddy, i have to ask you to be more specific about what you would like. would you like the about me box to take up the whole screen and then the userbox screen be centered in the middle ? not sure if thats what you mean, let meknow. Matthew Yeager22:33, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
LCA edits
Thanks for your edits. i am trying to come out of my self imposed vacation, lots of things happening on the LCA front. did you see the Indian Ministry of defence 2007 report? if not go here[1]. lots of info, few bits on kaveri engine too, there is no Kaveri Marine Gas turbine(Kaveri engine for ships)section in the kaveri article. Would you care to add that? regardsKaushal mehta08:50, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Template:AFV
Hi. Yes, go ahead and change AFV to Infobox weapon in any articles where it is found. Sorry that its obsolescence wasn't clear—I've added a template to the top to prevent that happening in the future. Cheers. —MichaelZ. 2007-05-19 16:53 Z
MRCA article
Sniperz11, thanks for your comments on my edits. I added some part about Mirage-2000 being the original MRCA in the Indian Air Force article. But frankly speaking I think that there is no need at all for a separate MRCA article. Although it is very large, its just another military contract. In my opinion, contracts and tenders might not deserve separate articles, but can have large sections describing them. Thanks. Indian_Air_Force (IAF)
Voluntary and Conscription
Voluntary is unpaid in many aspects, like "he does voluntary work for charity", so how can we convey the fact that the people are not "forced" to join the army by using a word other than voluntary ? The current use of the word conveys that the Indian army is too tardy to pay its soldiers. Which is certainly not true. Haphar17:33, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

robot code
i'm familiar with with C, yet not familiar with interfacing that with a robot. so i can check your code and once you know you have it set up with the robot correctly, i can help code. Yet i'm unsure how thats done. Like first thing i look for is the input parameters, yet i dont see how your "controller" would pass in the info. once you show me where those variables are getting assigned, we can make it do awesome!! Image
Don't worry, I checked it before adding the new image to the page. The old one is already present in the HAL Dhruv page where it must belong. Keeping the same image along with the replacement will only add to trouble with so many unwanted images. Also you can go to wikimedia commons and search for military of India, there all India related images are present.
Chanakyathegreat14:26, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
The main problem is that the image of Brahmos are all uploaded by me. But when you have better images than the images that will be removed at a later stage, it is better to keep the newer better ones. If you or your friends are visiting air shows and if possible upload the images taken into wikimedia commons. Also make sure that the images are only of the machine and is of high quality. That images can be used in the articles. Tell me you would like to keep the Dhruv image in there. At present I will make a small adjustment without removing the image.
Chanakyathegreat03:00, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
The images are not replaced. It exists in the articles where it is required. Rather than adding all the images it is better to have images that suit the articles. When it comes to certain images which are not according to wiki rules will be deleted by the Admins. Hence it is better to replace them with other good ones according to the wiki rules. Another point is don't bring the language issue into the articles, especially the English articles because there are so many official languages. Either find way to add them all or don't add anything at all.

I think Mk-2 is nothing but a cumulative upgrade of the Mk-1. This would also include some newly indigenized components. Lets not count the chickens before they hatch, shall we. Since wikipedia is an encyclopedia lets not put any speculated specs. Kaushal mehta06:11, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
I thought the air-conditioning issue was resloved by a solid-state cooling system, developed by DRDO and produced by mecon enterprises[4]. I dont know much about any of the other things you mentioned. Anyways its wait and watch for us. Did you hear that army is going to induct Brahmos on June 21? Here are the links [5][6]Kaushal mehta09:02, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Wow, lot of info. I heard about kanchan-X but wasnt the CITV already there in Mk-1? anyways wait and watch. right now busy making my userbox page on my sandbox.Kaushal mehta10:03, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
thanks, I did see your userbox template but found this one more simple. thanks anyways. Well I am going to create my first article, will first work on my sandbox first. Its about a magazine called safari. Good to know you are here in Bangalore, hopefully will meet someday, IISc is a good place indeed, very nice campus. How did you create the menu? its quite nice. I have to archive my talk page too. Kaushal mehta10:26, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
IGMDP
Let the IGMDP article stay, since the main Indian missile development programme is centered around the IGMDP. A majority of the missiles are part of the IGMDP. Regarding the Project Valiant and Devil, seperate article can be made that can be linked to the IGMDP article and briefly explained there. If you want to create seperate articles for each of the missiles and lot of information will be added, please do it. Like the article on Agni missile system.

Thank you for your barnstar
Thanx a lot for your barnstar. I think you deserve it more though especially for your modern tank section work. Anyways thanks again. Regards Kaushal mehta12:02, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
The Ashoka Emblem is used as the emblem of the Indian Armed forces which seems incorrect. Can you read the motto of the Indian Armed forces from the image.
[10]
Ashoka emblem is also included in that emblem. I think it is the emblem of the Armed forces of India also called the Tri service emblem. Like the British Tri service Emblem [11].

31 March 2007 is the date of publication. During that time there is no report of any Brahmos test. It seems to be a cruise missile version of the Sagarika that was tested. The Dhanush is actually the Prithvi-III and Sagarika a version of it. The media is calling the stabilizer as a missile itself. Some report claim that there are two versions of the Sagarika a CM and a BM. The recent reports suggest the Cruise missile version test fired thrice. One test must be from the INS Rajput. The Rajput seems to be a platform to test the Brahmos and later the Sagarika CM. The BM version must have been tested from Sukanya class ships as with the Prithvi-III. Sometimes the Sagarika BM may also be the Prithvi-III or a longer range version of Prithvi-III.Chanakyathegreat15:34, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Rajput was a test platform for the Brahmos during 2004-2005 and during the induction process in 2004-06.[14][15].
And a new report in March 2007 suggests that Dhanush was test fired from INS Rajput.[16][17] Another similar report in Jan 2006.[18] The confusion again starts. This report [19] contains information that the missile was tested from Sukanya as well as Rajput.
Chanakyathegreat16:44, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
What is your opinion on Sagarika being a SLBM/SLCM. A new cruise missile for the services named Nirbhay (Fearless) has got similar range.
Chanakyathegreat17:01, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
I will try to write about MRCA. But somebody has to correct my grammar. Dunno much about DSI & Mumbai blasts.
Sure Sniper i will try to create a usersubpage but my doubt is Do i need to take anybodys permission or discuss before creating new page? like the weapon systems of IA?Ajay ijn16:22, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:Iqbal 2005 Kapil.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
An article is always assigned to the most specific sub-category it belongs to, and not to any higher-level categories of which it is a subset. Thus, since George Carlin is in category "American standup comedians" he will not be put in "American comedians" or "Standup comedians" (since all American standup comedians are by definitions members of both categories). --Orange Mike23:46, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Language
No way. India have 24 official languages and hence adding one particular language is a biased, unsuitable thing to do. Since this is an English article let it be in English. Hindi may be used by the central government, even that policy is flawed. They must be using all the official languages of India since they are the representative of all Indians. Please don't bring the viewpoint of the GOI here. It's anathema to all Indians and everything Indian.

Thanks a lot! You're quite the busy bee yourself. Cheers. —MichaelZ. 2007-10-16 03:49 Z

ay, good to hear from you buddy! how have you been doing ? your userpage looks great! unfortunately, to answer your question, there is no way to rename a page in the category. I suppose they dont want to be ambiguous about the page names. sorry man. what else have you been up to, anything cool ? MatthewYeager09:37, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
geeze sounds like you have your hands full! are you doing all the research for creating the new pages or are you just making stubs off existing info ? if the latter, then i could probably make\run a bot for you : ) either way seems like a pain, but good to hear your getting stuff accomplished. good luck on your exams man! studies are going well for me, getting into some of the more deeper aspects of computer science so that makes me happy : ) but i suppose similar to you, i have midterms this week so that wont be too much fun. keep in touch man, let me know if i can help you out. Career stats on Sean Avery's page
Before I created a user name, yesterday or the day before I edited Avery's career stats adding his AHL and NHL stats but not adding them onto the totals at the bottom since those are NHL totals. I saw this was done on Brendan Shanahan's page so I figured why not. The next time I got on Wikipedia I saw I had a message saying that my contributions weren't..... well I don't remember exactly what was said but it was deleted and reverted to how it was before. It's no big deal, just seems like a contradiction, that's all. Redfzn04:32, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
