Paragraphing
[edit]You have been doing a fair amount of editing and seem to have a keen eye for improving the language and readability of articles. I also note that you have been adjusting the paragraph structure in some articles. You should be aware that there is a norm around here that short paragraphs are generally not favored. This is not a rule, but is used as a criterion for good articles. Here are a couple of references suggesting that we should avoid overly short (and overly long) paragraphs: [1], [2] Note that the lead is usually a summary of the whole article. The best leads will thus try to stitch together the main ideas of the article in 3-5 paragraphs. I've reverted a few recent paragraph changes by you and trust that will be o.k. Happy editing! Your skills are needed
[edit]The article on Mauna Kea could benefit from a review when you find the time. Long paragraphs are considered encyclopedic house style, so best to just leave them. However, any other changes you make to improve readability would be splendid. Thanks in advance, and if I can be of help to you, feel free to contact me or respond here. [edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit. It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Michael Bednarek (talk) 04:47, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Somehow, you managed to delete the entire Rita Hayworth article as you edited the Death section. I rolled it back, but I think it ate any grammar corrections you'd made. No biggie, just keep an eye out for strange things like that. humblefool® 06:44, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
Copyediting and dates
[edit]Thanks for copyediting George Soros. I think you should see MOS:UNLINKDATES#Linking_and_autoformatting_of_dates. As I read it we shouldn't link dates like 1965. Smallbones (talk) 22:03, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
"Copyedits" to Leverage article
[edit]Your copyedits to the article on the TV show Leverage have been reverted by two editors, both of whom have identified specific issues with your edits. You need to stop reverting, especially now you've violated WP:3RR and discuss your edits. You made your final edits after you were asked to discuss, and there is now a discussion in place. Do not make any further edits until you reach WP:CONSENSUS for the changes you feel need to be made. I see that you're interested in copyediting, but not every editor will agree with the edits you make. You need to be prepared to gain consensus rather than simply continue to revert in an attempt to bully your edits into place. Drmargi (talk) 08:21, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Sockpuppetry suspicion
[edit]Hello. You're being supected of sockpuppetry; see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mattisse. HeyMid (contribs) 22:27, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- I've removed the sock template you added to your user page because, per CheckUser, you are unrelated to Mattisse. Also, if you created the user page because of the sockpuppetry suspicions, you may request to have your user page deleted. Regards, HeyMid (contribs) 15:10, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
Edit warring
[edit]Please stop what you are doing. I know no other pages that has bold characters on the episodes list. If you do this again, I will be forced to go to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring. Thank you. -- Matthew RD 21:28, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

Wikipedia Help Survey
[edit]Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.
Thank you for your time,

[edit]Please don't change the format of dates, as you did to Democritus. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.
For more information about how dates should be written on Wikipedia, please see this article.
If you have any questions about this, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}

The Far Side - O Fortuna
[edit]Not sure if you'll see/reply to this, but you made an old edit [3] to Carl Orff's O Fortuna in popular culture, dating its use in a Far Side animation to 1990. However, I can't seem to find any Far Side animation other than "Tales from the Far Side" (1994), and Part 1 does not contain the scene. As for the sequel, I don't know if it contains the scene, but it's certainly released later than 1990. Is there another Far Side animation that simply isn't being mentioned in Google search results? 108.173.7.202 (talk) 04:00, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
