1st RfA attempt

Your RfA

Hi there, may I suggest you withdraw your RfA? Most editors expect to see 1000 edits at a minimum before they will support an RfA and many expect more experience with Wikipedia. You look like a good editor but you will need a lot more experience before you will get a successul RfA. Withdrawing now is likely a better course of action for you than having it closed by a Bureaucrat. Good luck, and I genuinely hope you'll come back later and become an admin. Take a look at the Guide to RfAs which hopefully you read before submiiting your nomination. That outlines the procedure for withdrawing. Good luck, Gwernol 00:26, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
No worries and thanks for considering a withdrawl. If you ever have any questions about policy or any other aspect of Wikipedia, please feel free to drop me a message on my Talk page. Best, Gwernol 00:40, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

RfA

I closed your RfA as there was no longer any chance of success. If you want to become and admin, you will have to do more editing and spend more time here for starters. Be sure to use edit summaries and become involved in Wikipedia tasks, like voting on AfDs.Voice-of-All 01:00, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Also avoid things like this[1], which I only noticed due to a javascript bug. Look into Esperanza's admin coaching if you still want to become a sysop.Voice-of-All 01:08, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

RfA Advice

Sorry to see that your RfA failed, but it's to be expected for as new a user as yourself - people don't really feel confident giving sysop powers to users with less than a certain number of edits, because they haven't had time to prove that they wouldn't misuse those powers. As others have said, you should run again in 4-6 months' time when you have a large number of edits, so people can be confident that you'll do well.

I also suggest that you check out WP:RCP to get yourself acquianted with Wikipedia policy - NewPage and Recent Change Patrolling give you a chance to find and revert vandalism where necessary, warn vandals on their talk pages using the relevant test templates, and add relevant tags such as {{wikify}} where necessary. If you get yourself involved in the process early on, you'll be well qualified to run for adminship later on.

Good luck! :) RandyWang (raves/rants) 02:29, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

No problem. Don't let your failed RfA get in the way of contributing well to Wikipedia - it's good to see some enthusiasm and confidence from new users, after all. RandyWang (raves/rants) 11:26, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
