Eddie Brock / Sam Raimi film series
Hi, I noticed you removed the sentence detailing Brock’s first appearance in the film. I’m curious as to your reasoning why considering it’s a very brief line in the section and article as a whole. – Swordclash117 (talk) 23:36, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Swordclash117: Should we really note it? I think it is very unnecessary to note "Brock is first seen ...". — SirDot (talk) 23:43, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
- I feel that we should, considering the rest of that section is basically detailing Brock’s role in the film. Why detail all that, but cut out one brief line about when he first appears in the movie.
- If anything, I feel the section actually needs just a bit more detail about Brock’s role in the film, specifically before Parker bonds with the symbiote.
- I also believe we should try to include how Brock is meant to be an “evil” Parker with them having similar jobs and girlfriends. This is detailed in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Man_3#Production but not on the character article. – Swordclash117 (talk) 23:56, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Swordclash117: Go ahead and include the evil Parker stuff. On cutting the brief line, it is overall unneeded to note when Brock first appears in Spider-Man 3. The section perfectly summarizes the stuff before the symbiote bonding what Brock in SM3 is:
- A freelance photographer at the Daily Bugle, Peter Parker's rival, and in a relationship with Gwen Stacy.}}
- Pretty straightforward. Also, the entire SM3 bullet point is basically "Spider-Man 3 plot but only Eddie Brock". Maybe try to trim all of that. (Tip: Try typing those four signing tildes once.) — SirDot (talk) 00:10, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

Green Goblin GA nomination
Hope things go well for your GA nomination. I decided to just go for it with Thanos also, so hopefully it goes well too. Never nominated anything for GA before. -- Zoo (talk) 16:29, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks Zoo. Green Goblin's similarly my first GA nomination. SirDot (talk) 16:35, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- Is the lead not supposed to have references? I only have refs in the last paragraph
The character has been well-received by critics and fans alike. Thanos is often credited as one of the MCU's best villains,<ref><ref> as well as one of the greatest film villains of the 2010s,<ref> 21st century,<ref> and of all-time.<ref>
but I'm debating on removing the refs and just keeping the parts about one of the best MCU villains and one of the best film villains. Everything else I think could just be in the reception section only. Do you have any suggestions? -- Zoo (talk) 16:46, 23 May 2022 (UTC)- I think material that is supported by the article body and is also said in the lead should not be cited by a ref in the lead. Those 5 sources in the Thanos lead can be included in Reception, if they're not already. SirDot (talk) 16:57, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- On a sort of related note, the MCU Spider-Man page is my next goal to get prepped for GA if you want to work on it with me since I know you've worked on multiple Spider-Man related articles. -- Zoo (talk) 00:23, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
- Yeah, been meaning to do some copyedits around that article. — SirDot (talk) 00:27, 25 May 2022 (UTC)

@ZooBlazer: A new GAN backlog drive has begun for the month, there's a possibility Goblin and Thanos could be reviewed. — SirDot (talk) 02:44, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
- Fingers crossed. I just hope Thanos doesn't get straight up denied. I personally think it looks good, but I'm sure there will plenty of things that'll need cleaned up. -- Zoo (talk) 03:33, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
@ZooBlazer: It has passed! — SirDot (talk) 15:43, 21 June 2022 (UTC)
- Congrats! I saw that it went up for review yesterday. That was a nice and quick review. -- Zoo (talk) 15:49, 21 June 2022 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!

I cannot thank you enough for getting the "Sheev" name out of the Obi-Wan Kenobi Article. They don't use it in the movies or shows, so it should't be used on articles related to them. I wish I could thank you twice for that. Maxcardun (talk) 19:29, 23 June 2022 (UTC) |
- You're welcome @Maxcardun:. There was no reason given to refer to Palpatine as "Emperor Sheev Palpatine / Darth Sidious" when episode six only refers to him as "the Emperor". Kept Palpatine for context. — SirDot (talk) 19:36, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
Obi-Wan
Would you please explain to me how the flashback is needed in any way to understand the plot of the episode in question?--DasallmächtigeJ (talk) 12:58, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
The Batman shared universe in Mcu films wiki
In The Batman wiki, it clearly mentioned it is the start of Batman shared universe.
"The Batman is intended to launch a Batman shared universe, with two sequels planned and two spin-off television series in development" Ashokkumar047 (talk) 06:49, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
- Yeah, but how is this relevant to the cultural impact of the MCU? The section talks about the DC/WB and there's no mention of the MCU in the entirety of The Batman's article. And there's nothing saying DC/WB are imitating on the success of the MCU via The Batman universe. — SirDot (talk) 08:30, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
In Sony's Spider-Man universe also there's no mention of it is inspired by MCU, why it's there. Ashokkumar047 (talk) 09:13, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
Also is the below statement necessary for the cultural impact
Additionally, DC began focusing on films "completely separate from everything else, set entirely outside" the DCEU as part of a new label, with the first film centered on the Joker.
Can you remove them Ashokkumar047 (talk) 09:40, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

Hi SirDot, I'm new to the mcu character page and I saw that you put in some information and I want to help with that whole thing but I have a few questions. Is there a way we could talk somewhere one wiki? Myleschase16 (talk) 17:55, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
