Leaving WP[edit]Hello, I have left wikipedia. I enjoyed my time here, it was really a lot of fun. I made lots of friends. But my time has come for me to leave. Thank you. AVTN 08:34, 8 July 2007 (UTC) We will miss you indeed Icedevil14 13:54, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Please don't make your retirement permanant. We're missing your prescense already.....become maybe like User:M.arunprasad and edit whenever you can (his yet another Tamil cinema editing prospect gone) .... Universal Hero 09:48, 19 July 2007 (UTC) A tag has been placed on Aarilirunthu Arubathu Varai, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template I'm coming back![edit]
Its AVTN, but I don't want to log into my account from an internet cafe so I won't. I'll be back on the 15th of August. Missed you guys! 203.212.231.170 11:54, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Surprise!?![edit]Firstly, wha-aaa.. at? Me thoughts u were gonna stay here for sometime! Aw crud. Anyways, we'll c about that later. Get some content on your userpage. Whatever u want it to say..... Lemme warn u now that I'm not great at designing userpages at all. I'm pretty good at flicking code from other pages and incorporating it. Till now, I've done the Phaedrielish design and people seem to love it. Looks especially beautiful on Firefox, with its curves et al. So if you're cool with that design, do lemme know on what colour theme to work on... ? aJCfreak yAk 21:24, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Copyright problem[edit]Can you add help clear this up. User_talk:GameKeeper#Apologies GameKeeper 22:01, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Userpage design[edit]Hi again. I've put out a basic design construct for your userpage. Wasn't much work at all... Used a previously used design (which I'd created for a user who was later found to be a sockpuppet and so my hard work went to waste!) Anyways, the only things that I think are crappy in this design are that the border needs to be a more silvery/glowy colour and the gray background shouldn't be so dull. Anyways, I thought I'll put this up for you to work on, comment on, or completely delete... As you wish. :) Glad to have you back. aJCfreak yAk 21:40, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
Welcome back[edit]Welcome back from retirement! Hope that you have a great rest of your Summer! Take care and have a great day. Sincerely, --Candy156sweet 01:12, 18 August 2007 (UTC) Edit[edit]My edit of the Slavonic Dances article was merely to correct a spelling error. "Immitating" is incorrect; the word should be "imitating."—Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.17.171.84 (talk) User Page Design[edit]That would be fantastic! Thanks. :) --Candy156sweet 08:02, 18 August 2007 (UTC) Please do not do this again[edit]"Fixing typos" in a list of corrected typos is... shall we say, a little silly? You should only be correcting typos in articles, anyway; people generally prefer to have their comments left the way they wrote them, and not modified by others, even in a wiki -- 86.157.253.41 18:14, 4 September 2007 (UTC) Re your comment and the timeline[edit]Hi! Long time. Anyways, thanks for taking the time out to check out that chap's histories. Actually, was it possible that it was a message intended for you and was left on my page by accident (Possible, considering the error I just corrected in your talk page's header!) ? Dunno... Unless he replies, can't figure out what he meant to say. Reg the timeline, you might wanna take a look at Template:Graphical timeline. I am quite unable to find the place from where I got the instructions to code my timeline... Seriously, Wikipedia being a Wiki has certain disadvantages, I guess. As for editing levels and such, you can see that I'm not editing at all. Kindof in a burnout sortofa stage... Well, let's see what happens. Cheerio for now. aJCfreak yAk 19:34, 4 September 2007 (UTC) Welcome to VandalProof![edit]Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Sintaku! You have now been added to the list of authorized users, so if you haven't already, simply download and install VandalProof from our main page. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any other moderator, or you can post a message on the discussion page. Daniel 10:12, 5 September 2007 (UTC) Question[edit]What is vandalproof? Is this so that you can easily find vandals here on Wikipedia, and revert the offending edits? That would be so fab to use. Just asking. Hope that you have a lovely week... --Candy156sweet 22:46, 9 September 2007 (UTC) Annadammula Savaal[edit]A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Annadammula Savaal, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the Hi, Appears that you had added Parshva Bhavsar on the Parshva Page. Is it possible for you to identify a reference for it. I was hoping we could pick up someone who's had more experience with WP standards, and glad to see I wasn't disappointed. It'd be awesome if we could get this featured in the Anime/Manga portal or even the main page! So yea, really appreciate your help :) and yea, I'll be sure not to make it look like an advert. I was careful of that from the beginning :) Kei-clone (talk) 23:33, 18 March 2008 (UTC) No external link needed[edit]You sure? Referring to here. There is nothing really exciting going on with WP right now. The only thing that I can say that differs is the homepage layout. How have you been? I've been doing a great deal of editing as of late, but I have to take a break soon. College is more important in the grand scheme of things. Hope you are well, and you stick around for a bit. --Candy156sweet (talk) 20:28, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Your rollback request[edit]Hello Sintaku, I have granted your account rollback in accordance with your request. Please remember that rollback is for reverting vandalism, and that misuse of the tool, either by revert-warring with other users, or simply reverting edits you disagree with, can lead to it being removed. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. In addition, you mentioned on permissions about your return. Welcome back and best wishes. :) Acalamari 18:45, 1 November 2008 (UTC) Moderate2008 Edits[edit]I'm sorry, but how exactly does changin "Peron arrest" to "17 October, 1945" in Eva Peron constitute vandalism? 17 October, 1945 was the date of the mass rallies and protests on La Plata to free Juan Peron from prison. Just respond with a post on my talk page. Thanks, Moderate2008 (talk) 19:49, 1 November 2008 (UTC) What's your problem?[edit]Why do you keep reverting my changes as vandalism without even a discussion? I'm talking about the 12th SS Division page. 139.48.25.60 (talk) 15:39, 13 November 2008 (UTC) Hi, please be more careful while reverting vandalism. In this revert, apart from removing vandalism by the IP, you reverted my edit also. In general, your vandalism revert is excellent. Keep up the good work. "White Parties" are parties where guests dress in white, "The White Party" is a Homosexual Circuit Party. Just wanted to thank you for reverting the vandalism on my userpage. I really appreciate it! Camanda (talk) 01:24, 14 November 2008 (UTC) Hi, can you undo the Uncontribute I did on shuttle 430?[edit]The list I've added is a work in progress list of all the cartoons showed within the show of Shuttle 430. It was a pain to hunt down all the information, it took me about 2 hours to do that. I'll be happy to provide a Edit summary once that is done. 192.197.54.136 (talk) 16:24, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Already did :) FungGuy (talk) 17:02, 14 November 2008 (UTC) Football Manager 2009[edit]Please dont assume like an automaton that my edit was 'vandalism'. I did what you asked and provided information on a breaking development with a video game launched today. Statistics taken from Sports Interactive, Sega and Steam. I understand you have a job to do but could you please not assume everything you disagree with is 'vandalism'. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stephensmith84 (talk • contribs) 16:49, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
My recent vandalism[edit]I apologize if you think that my recent revisions to the "Pope Celestine" articles were vandalism. I was merely "editing mercilessly" where I thought there were errors. It would have been nice had you questioned me about my revisions instead of immediately accusing me of vandalism. 76.123.208.229 (talk) 16:56, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
You're not very good at this[edit]Unless you think there's "economic actors". Does that refer to Michael Douglas in Wall Street? LOL --208.38.59.163 (talk) 17:27, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Syndey vandalism[edit]Hello, I just made a quick revert on some anonymous IP vandalism on the Sydney article and inadvertently accused you of vandalism. I'm terribly sorry, I didn't mean to! I think you may have accidentally reverted the same vandalism to the wrong version (still vandalised), and I reverted that without looking more carefully. Please accept my apologies! (the article looks OK now) Cnbrb (talk) 19:26, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Cool! Happy editing. :-) Cnbrb (talk) 21:53, 14 November 2008 (UTC) Please be more careful[edit]I have reverted this edit by you. That wasn't vandalism and if you had checked the edits by this IP user you would see that they were made in good faith. Nothing scares away a new user more than being slapped with a vandalism warning when they were trying to contribute in good faith. EconomicsGuy (talk) 20:40, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
World Snooker Championship[edit]Please not revert edits without giving a reason. This is a form of vandalism. Betty Logan (talk) 05:24, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Why are you giving me warnings?[edit]Before someone marks this as vandalism, I want you to at least read this. Why is this vandalism? I don't understand? I am new to Wikipedia and I am trying to figure it out. PLEASE DO NOT MARK THIS AS VANDALISM. I'm am not doing anything wrong. I just need answers from somebody. Please help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.57.201.227 (talk) 01:13, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
I know I do. But how do I get started on Wikipedia? I have no friends. I am a loser. My best friend is a hat, and it's not my fault. I want to be smart like the people on Wikipedia and make money on Wikipedia like you. You make a lot of money because when the people do the donation you get the ca-ching, you get the 6 million dollars or at least some of it because you work at Wikipedia and I want to move to Wikipedia and work there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.57.201.227 (talk) 01:28, 14 November 2008 (UTC) I live in Carlstown and fish a lot but I usually play Wikipedia after I catch myself a few fish and go to McDonalds but I wanna be like the rich people like you and do the Wikipedia as a professionel so I can make more money and win the six million. You think I can? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.57.201.227 (talk) 01:33, 14 November 2008 (UTC) Mr. Sintaku I would appreciate it if you would answer me on your computer but if you are busy I can understand. I just though we could talk a little you know? Like so that I could become a good wikipedia person like you are and have my own page for other people to talk on and say things to me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.57.201.227 (talk) 01:34, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Okay Mr. Sintaku. But I know you get paid a little, right? My cousin did the Wikipedia once and told me he got a check from the government for 300 dollars a few months later. And you spelled organization wrong. Are you an Englishman? Do you hate the Scottish? I am Scottish, do you hate me? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.57.201.227 (talk) 17:05, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
I'm vandalizing Wikipedia?[edit]I'm not sure I understand exactly what is wrong. I changed "They're" to "They are" because I thought it was more appropriate for the tone of the article. I marked it as a minor edit, and explained my rationale in change comment. I make minor spelling/style corrections frequently, but have never been accused of vandalizing before. I'm not trying to sound angry, I'm just really confused. Trainik (talk) 05:09, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure I agree, but that's okay, it's really not a big deal. Is there a specific reason you argue that it's more grammatically correct? I just want to know so I can do it correctly in the future. Particularly, is there some guide that deals with this particular issue? (I don't remember seeing it in the Wiki style guide, but I could be wrong). I've always been taught that contractions are not appropriate in formal writing.Trainik (talk) 05:15, 16 November 2008 (UTC) P.S. Thank you for removing the notices from my talk page! Trainik (talk) 05:17, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
That's fine, but I think you misunderstand me. I'm not upset with your changes. I'm just curious about why "They're" is more correct than "They are" in this situation. This is a grammatical question pure and simple.Trainik (talk) 05:21, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Umm... I've been editing here for more than 3 years actually, so don't worry about scaring me off. Anyway, I've done some checking (admittedly not the highest courts of appeal in the English Language, but I think they're fine for this) http://www.informatics.sussex.ac.uk/department/docs/punctuation/node20.html http://www.yourdictionary.com/dictionary-articles/using-contractions.html And while contractions are not forbidden in formal writing, they are mentioned as being generally inappropriate for academic/scholarly pursuits. Anyway, I don't really want to make any bigger deal out of this. I'd like to change it to "They are", but if you still object I won't do it, and we can happily leave it at that. Trainik (talk) 05:31, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Alright, thanks. It's good to know there are some vigilant people out there. How do I avoid getting reverted in the future? Trainik (talk) 05:37, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Why don't you two stop whining about this? It's stupid.--68.57.201.227 (talk) 17:08, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
