Hi Simon!
[edit]- Welcome to Wikipedia. I seriously hope you stay and assist us all in helping to build the sum of human knowledge :)
Just a word about your recent edits. Please do not take this as criticism but as advice from a (hopefully) long-term colleague to be. You are quite justified in making reasonable edits, and your eds so far have been reasonable. I have seen far worse here. But I would urge you to initiate and maintain communication with fellow editors, especially on potentially controversial subjects. Please do consider making extensive use of the associated talk pages of the articles you edit. It is often wise and collegiate to seek consensus before making overly BOLD edits. You will find the vast majority of long term editors will attempt to communicate with you, and although you and they may disagree on personal POV's, it is surprisingly easy to garner consensus if your arguments are structurally sound and you have good sources.
I would be happy to be your contact editor if you are having any issues. Cheers and happy editing! Kind regards from Irondome (talk) 15:06, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
- You are welcome. What areas of WP are you interested in developing? I would suggest you create a user page to give useful information to fellow eds and to further increase your credibility. A user page is taken seriously :). You are quite welcome to comment on my talk page. Cheers mate Irondome (talk) 01:40, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
Discretionary Sanctions Notification
[edit]The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.
Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.
This message is informational only and does not imply misconduct regarding your contributions to date.Zerotalk 02:28, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
Please note that the sanctions include a WP:1RR restriction for all articles related to the Arab-Israeli conflict. In the past day or so you have violated this restriction at Silwan, at Palestinian refugee, at Israel and maybe other places. I advise you to revert yourself before someone reports you. Previous accounts?
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. May I ask if you have edited Wikipedia earlier, and if so, under what account-name? Huldra (talk) 21:15, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
- I've been editing for a month. This is my only account. Why do you ask?--Simon Wtekni (talk) 02:02, 24 November 2014 (UTC)

Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Wlglunight93, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

[edit]This account has been blocked indefinitely as a sock puppet that was created to violate Wikipedia policy. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that all edits made while evading a block or ban may be reverted or deleted. If this account is not a sock puppet, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Bbb23 (talk) 14:41, 24 November 2014 (UTC) |
