Welcome!
Hello, Silver923, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!
I notice that you are looking for an adopter, and I would be happy to adopt you if you wish. Take a look at my userpage and decide if you think we would relate satisfactoritly. I do not know in which time zone you are - I am in England on GMT 0. I am, however, on line every day. As you can see, I have sent you our standard welcome package. Left-click on the blue links to open the individual items; you will learn here much of what you need to know about the encyclopedia.
To contact me, left-click on my name at the bottom of this message; that will take you to my userpage. Left-click on "discussion", then left-click on the "+" which is between "edit this page" and "history". In the little text box which your cursor drops into, type a short title for your message (hello, help, thank you, happy new year or anything at all) and then hit the TAB key, which is on your keyboard above caps lock and has 2 arrows on it. You are now in the main message space, so type away all you want. Do not forget to sign your message using ~~~~. Happy wikying.--Anthony.bradbury 12:37, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Please also note the change to the template on your userpage.--Anthony.bradbury 13:51, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Conversation
[edit]Well, talk on the discussion pages is the usual way of doing it, yes. That way all comments are preserved, and are available to all users as one entity, which is the way it should be.
I am usuaaly on-line from about 7 until midnight Greenwich, which means that I will not pick up postings that you make late evening your time until next day. But I will always answer within 24 hours. I have amended your template.--Anthony.bradbury 16:53, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
I have read this rather long article. I think it might be difficult to bring it to FA status, although perhaps GA is reasonable. A very great deal of the article is unreferenced, and a lot of the rest comes over as original research. The examples are ok (and of course we all know about the scam anyway) but they still need citations adding. good luck.--Anthony.bradbury 22:07, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
adoption
[edit]Hi there; you have not needed to contact me for some time, and unless I hear from you to the contrary in the next few days, I propose to remove the adoption flag from your and my pages.--Anthony.bradbury 00:27, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Adoption anew
[edit]Greetings Silver923, I see you're up for adoption, and I'm in the market. If ever you need advice or answers, just ask me -- any question, any time. It's good to have you back after a long hiatus, and I'd like to help you however I can. Happy editing - Draeco (talk) 04:22, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
Help me!
[edit]This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
Please help me with...figuring out what I should put on my userpage. I read something that says you shouldn't talk about you, the human, but you, the editor.
I'm also not sure how to archive things on my talk page.
Thanks!

- I know what you mean (and there's a bit more detail on WP:USERPAGE), but the basic idea is that we don't want people to use their user pages for advertising, so no résumés or similar. Beyond that, it's really up to you, and there's usually a lot of leeway allowed. You can write a bit about who you are in real life, or only focus on the kinds of work you do here. You can leave it blank, or use a nice image, or a collection of userboxes like you have now.
- About archiving: you may wish to wait until your talk page is longer, but WP:ARCHIVE is the "full, comprehensive" version of the guide. In short, you can manually move old sections to User talk:Silver923/Archive 1, or a bot (instructions) can do it for you. — Earwig talk 07:41, 27 November 2015 (UTC)

Request reason:
work I.P. is blocked Silver923 (talk) 20:02, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
Decline reason:
There is nothing we can do about an IP block unless you tell us what the blocked IP address is. If you make a new unblock request, telling us the IP address, we will be able to consider it. (However, there is no guarantee that the outcome will be an unblock. If your work IP address is blocked, it is likely that it has been the source of vandalism, spam, or both, in which case it may well remain blocked.) If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
