Redirects from different capitalizations
Hello Signvisas, just to let you know, it's not necessary to create redirects from all possible capitalizations since the search box on Wikipedia automatically transfers those who enter the string to the correct article. However, in cases where editors of other articles are likely to write a link with a different capitalization, then a redirect is fine. Since few editors would ever write "washington" in lowercase, a redirect isn't necessary. See you around! – Thjarkur (talk) 08:47, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for letting me know, I'll keep that in mind in the future! Signvisas (let's talk!) 08:47, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
Hello! Why do you think that this is unconstructive? There was discussion Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2017 January 6 for redirect, as far as I understand. --Jhilr (talk) 10:24, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hi @Jhilr:, that Rfd was on a different topic, and so if you want to make this page into a redirect, you'll need to create a new one. At the same time te idea of Chinese civilisation isn't just China, its encompasses China's extensive history and culture, which is only briefly mentioned in the main article. Aso, Chinese history and culture influenced different lands over time, so the geographical area of modern China does fails to cover all of what is called "Chinese civilisation". People wanting to research about ancient Chinese civilisation, a common topic, would also head to that page as well. Signvisas (let's talk!) 10:35, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
- Also per past consensus, was to leave it as an diambiguation page. You can see the edit history for that. Signvisas (let's talk!) 10:44, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you! Now I see that I have mistaken. --Jhilr (talk) 11:06, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
- Don't worry, not a problem. The edit wasn't actually "unconstructive", but you know thats how the template goes. Signvisas (let's talk!) 10:46, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

Welcome and COI tag notice
Hi Signvisas, I'm just dropping by to offer you my thanks for your welcome on my page. However, before doing so on other users' pages, it would be prudent to note their edit history to ascertain how long they've been around. Just saying as a few over-enthusiastic contributors have been known to plaster Welcome messages willy-nilly to jack up their edit counts, whatever perceived benefit that brings! Also, before using the COI (Conflict of Interest tag) on pages, please ensure two things: first, WP:ASSUMEGOODFAITH, and, second, that you have properly read the article to see if it sounds promotional or fully adheres to WP:NPOV. I have written the above message in the spirit of camaraderie; please don't misread it thinking I'm a superior telling you what to do. We're all doing the same job here. I hope you have a great Wiki experience. Happy editing! TerentiusNew (talk) 16:48, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
