Hello!
[edit]You didn't reply about the green dress! I've been waiting for you to repsond so we can discuss exotic issues LOL/ I know you don't like blondes but check out Abby Clancy. Well fit!! Hey I expanded Baseraa the other day. Why hadn't you expanded it LOL? It is a shame with Bollywood films that there isn't web info on reception and production in general as it leaves most of the articles in poor condition. What are you up to these days anyway? Dr. Blofeld White cat 21:02, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Are there any articles still missing? I've noticed a lot of Bollywood directors, even Filmfare Award winning ones seem to get forgotten! If there are any which need starting or you want started let me know. Dr. Blofeld White cat 08:57, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Yeah the thing is directors like Ramesh Talwar only directed a handful of films. I think that is why they are missing. As a lot of directors direct hundreds of films! Dr. Blofeld White cat 09:01, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
I've started Ramesh Talwar, Could you find a citation to support the fact he was nominated? I checked the main site and couldn't find him. Dr. Blofeld White cat 09:26, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Nice one! Thanks for finding that citation. I'll try to start a few of the others later, at present I'm trying to set up a new transwiki project! Dr. Blofeld White cat 14:24, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
See Wikipedia:WikiProject TRANSWIKI and click a language work group, e.g Spanish, it is still in its infancy. The idea is to get some coordination with drawing up lists of missing articles by different foreign wiki and have the project work towards getting them into english. There are some beautiful articles missing on other wikis that would really benefit english wiki. I hope given time it will attract translators as we will notify all the related wikiprojects and fluent language speakers on here plus the tags which go in articles e.g Template:Expand Spanish we will link to the relative work group. Adding a tag in an article to urge towards translation will place articles in categories like Category:Geography articles needing translation from Spanish Wikipedia I was amazed that nobody had ever done anything properly towards this! You'd think that connecting articles in different languages would be a big priority! Dr. Blofeld White cat 14:31, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
You're probably thinking, Blofeld you take wikipedia too seriously....LOL. Well somebody needs to sort things out around here! Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:01, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
What is your favourite curry dish? Mine is Tandoori. I'm getting increasingly braver though in terms of hotness! Dr. Blofeld White cat 11:44, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
LOL curry is one of my favourite dishes!!! I absolutely love Indian food, I have several curries a week. There has not been a curry I've tried that I haven't liked. Of late I've been eating curries with a lot of chillies in it, the more you eat the weaker the hotness is, so I can understand now how many Indians eat mouth burners LOL. Why are you surprised I like Indian food? I like Bollywood don't I? My tastes in food reflect my general interest in world culture and that that you see on here. I love Thai king prawns and dishes too! Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:35, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Mwwooahaaa LOL. I've only seen clips of Sholay fraid to say. I did try to get it on DVD but it was too expensive! I've seen Mother India though and I love Nargis! Mmm yummy, this talk about curries is making me gagging for a curry NOW! LOL. Well, we know what I'm having for dinner tonight! I'm going to try to experiment with some more Indian dishes and different masalas and that too. Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:44, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Oh I've seen a few fully through on youtube, I can't remember the names of most of them though!! I've seen a few 70s and early 80s Amitabh and Rekha films and a couple from the 1950s I think with Nargis in. Oh I liked KANK, but it was a little too bring out the box of tissues for my liking, particularly Rani Mukerji!. I'm glad I saw it though. I also saw that Preity film where she is wearing glasses, Kal Ho Naa Ho . Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:47, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Ooo awesome. I'll definately start watching Junoon over the next few days. Thanks for telling me! Dr. Blofeld White cat 13:03, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Ever heard of Danica Patrick? Very nice!! How hot is she? Dr. Blofeld White cat 15:28, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Yep I agree. The main flaw for me is her eyes, they are a little too narrow, could be stronger. Her body though is quite outstanding! Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:02, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Hey there is a bit of conflict over "most beautiful" in both Rai and Jolie's articles. I did restore it but I'm not going to get into an edit watr. Also there was one line in Bipasha Basu's article about her dancing with prostitutes. Do you think it is really needed? I mean, Kareena Kapoor and Zinta have done other work but it wasn't worth mentioning in the article. It seems like it was a one off event, I don't know if it is owrth mentioning she raised AIDS awareness once. WHat do you think? If you think it is important then restore it, I wanted to know what you thought.. Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:37, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Indeed, and the very fact Roger Ebert said that counts as like ten billion dollar media institutions combined saying it anyway! The guy is the King of all Film Critics (even above Taran Adarsh LOL). Dr. Blofeld White cat 19:35, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
I was thinking of taking the Koena Mitra article to FA. How does this sound:
Koena Mitra, born January 7, 1981 in Kolkata, West Bengal, is an Indian actress and former model. She is widely considered the greatest actress of all time and runs an acting school in Mumbai in which actors from all around Asia come to train to improve their acting skills and take acting tips from her. She has won 5 Academy Awards for her performances which have been hailed by critics such as Roger Ebert as "better than Katherine Hepburn and Bette Davis at their very best".
Would that be a suitable intro? Dr. Blofeld White cat 19:58, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Yes LOL! Maybe 15 Golden Globes as well for her unique acting talent! Too much cosmetic surgery! She is attractive but she is definately not natural looking....Now i'm no expert, but I'd be 99% certain she has had a nose job anyway. Oh don't worry about Red Pen, tell him he needs a new ink cartridge. Tell him to go to W.H. Smiths or something. Dr. Blofeld White cat 11:00, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Greetings! There has recently been a new template created to protect BLPs which get a lot of traffic and vandalism from ips. Now would be a perfect time to contact User:John Vandenberg and give him a list of actors which need protection. Sound good? Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:45, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Well I do believe they are considering placing all BLPs as flagged edits but this should definately had been done long ago and is definately good news. I just ried to add the template to Rai but you have to be an admin to add it. Better ask Vandenburg who I've noticed already added it to SRK etc to add it to all the others that get daily vandalism. Regards!. Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:52, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Hehe, nup that's what I mean, you have to be an admin. I guess otherwise there will be edit wars over adding the actual template too!! Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:54, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
I see. I would ask him to add the new template to the others anyway. Ciao! Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:55, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Hello
[edit]Hey buddy!! It has been a long time since I last talked to you. How are you doing?? (P.S. Why have you turned so quiet these days?? :D) -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 19:26, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- I thought the film was quite entertaining though it definitely did not live up to the hype it created. I seriously wish and hope that Akshay begins to do something else other than comedy; his performances are getting quite repetitive these days. As for Kareena, let me just say that her performance was okay. What did you think of it?? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 19:02, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
- I have only seen New York, Kambakkht Ishq & Love Aaj Kal. I am looking forward to watching Kaminey, which releases this Friday.
- Shahid, I noticed that you had reverted edits done by anonymous users on the article List of highest-grossing Bollywood films. However, both those edits are correct and have been done according to recent updates on BoxOfficeIndia. Love Aaj Kal has indeed emerged as one of the biggest opening week gross of all time. Furthermore, the collections of New York and Kambakkht Ishq have been updated on BOI and these amounts are greater than the collections of Dostana and Koi Mil Gaya respectively. -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 15:01, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- Shahid, you misunderstood what I was talking about. :) I am not talking about the collections that are adjusted for inflation; I am talking about the collections that are unadjusted for inflation. According to the collections reported on BOI, a user had updated the collections of KI & NY respectively on the page and you reverted that edit. Similarly, you had removed LAK from the list of Biggest-opening week gross of all time. That is the only thing I was talking about... nothing else.
- As for IBOS, at the top of the page, it says: "Grosses updated for post 1970, inflation adjusted per available ticket price data post-2008." This means that they have not included the films that have release before 1970; that is the very reason I didn't update the chart since it wouldn't be fair if we didn't include the films that release before 1970. -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 17:46, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- I was the one who misunderstood what you wrote... LOL... Sorry :) -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 17:53, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Wikipedia editors' subjective opinions presented as declarative statements in articles by defining arbitary portions of actors careers based on analysis and interpretation not supported by citations to reliable sources is not appropriate for inclusion in articles. If there are not objective (work for a particular studio or director or first leading role or (for long time actors) various decades) or support from cited authorities, career sections SHOULDNT be broken up. We can summarize ("He starred in 15 films that each grossed over 15 million"), but we CANNOT analyise or interpret ("He became a success").-- The Red Pen of Doom 11:57, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
- Claims of "successful" or "blockbuster" or "underperformed" are ALWAYS subjective pov opinions (what is a "successful" film? what differentiates a "blockbuster" from merely a "hit"? "Underperformed" according to whose definitions?) and cannot be included in articles unsless you have a reliable source utilizing' those terms and the statement is attributed to that person/publication who made it. And even with a source, such vague terms may not be appropriate/encyclopedic. -- The Red Pen of Doom 20:41, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Shahrukh in Asal
[edit]Shshshsh
There are many source about King khan in Asal Here the Some of that.
Read all this and take a decision. Davidbilla2007 (talk) 15:05, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not here to take a decision. None of the sources is reliable. Most of them only say it is planned to cast Shahrukh Khan is Asal, but it's yet to be clear. I think it's better ofr us to wait. Shahid • Talk2me 15:12, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- Ok Thanx

Your edit summary here no longer reflects best practices as Wikipedia WP:LEDECITE. Due to the nature of Wikipedia, citations in the body that may support claims in the lede today, can easily disappear tomorrow and later the claims in the lede may morph well beyond what the original citation in the body supported.-- The Red Pen of Doom 11:33, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Hey =)
[edit]Hey! Long time.
Cheers. I've got a couple of months till I get back to uni, so I thought I might as well improve some Wiki articles. It was quite hard work, with the lack of (stable) supporters from the South, but now there are two or three who are moving in the right direction. =)
Yes, it is really tough as Google News history pages only go back as far as 1998 with the winners of the awards, so it does take a lot of researching.
How about you? What have you been up to? Seen any films, you would recommend? Universal Hero (talk) 18:35, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, maybe it was just a coincidence, but yesterday was the day which marks Kamal Haasan's 50th year in cinema. [7]. Yes, he's an absolute legend, maybe not North but down South he really is everything. To be honest, it's baffling how Rajinikanth is valued above him, but Rajini's USP is that he applies also to the village/ town centres - whilst Kamal had always banked on making (mostly) logical and multiplex films.
What Bolly films are you looking forward to? For me, it's Raavan, Three Idiots and Kites. Universal Hero (talk) 10:27, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hehe, good to know that your one like me! I haven't caught Preity's Heaven..., but I will put in on my to-watch list. I've always rated Preity as an actress, mostly due to the fact she was introduced by the master, Mani Ratnam. That man's responsible for the careers of Kamal, Mohanlal, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Madhavan, Surya and Ajith as well Preity, Aishwarya, Manisha, Madhoo etc. I'm intrigued to know, how much he is valued in the North? Is he just another film maker, a different film maker or a truly special one? Universal Hero (talk) 10:46, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Hello!
[edit]Hi! I haven't seen the trailer but it does look good! I haven't as yet got around to seeing Junoon. Any good Bollywood releases of late? Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:33, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Amelia looks awesome , thanks for showing me the trailer!. Just my sort of film, kind of like a female Aviator, but without the lunacy of Hughes. Another Oscar contender for Swank maybe? Ewan McGregor is everywhere these days! There is something about Richard Gere though, isn't he supposed to be a reincarnated lama like Steven Seagal or something? Whenever I see him I think Tibet for some reason LOL. I'm still amazed at the effigies people burned of him and Shilpa Shetty just because he kissed her in public! I had heard of Kendal but don't know much about her! Nice work with the Silver Hugo BTW, good to see Zinta recognozed internationally! Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:51, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Kate Winslet is great and she looks great naked LOL but facially she doesn't do it for me. She's a little too English girl next door looking for my liking if you know what I mean, kind of like Zara Philips etc, a little too English rose. They are attractive but I like exotic women! Meryl Streep is always a wonderful actress so.... Hilary Swank, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet are definately amongst the best in Hollywood today though. Dr. Blofeld White cat 13:10, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Agreed, definately. Hey heres something funny compare this to this. Definately a similarity between Winslet and Scottish snooker player Stephen Hendry LOL although Winslet is good looking unlike Hendry... Do you see the expression I mean? Dr. Blofeld White cat 13:19, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Ooohh Best Comic Actresses? That's hard. I like Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock for their goofiness. I find both women very attractive too, especially Bullock. Cameron Diaz is good at comedy as is Isla Fisher. Dr. Blofeld White cat 13:31, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Oh I thought you meant contemporary actress!! We were talking about current actresses! Dr. Blofeld White cat 14:17, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Yes! The original male of course was Charlie Chaplin but that is ancient cinema! Surprised that Hema Melini was a comic actress, she looks more the type that would appear in romantic dramas and thrillers! Dr. Blofeld White cat 14:25, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Yeha she is surprisingly funny actually. I liked the photo in the drawer LOL. Dr. Blofeld White cat 15:38, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Guess what I'm eating? Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:21, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Yes Tandoori! It is like 30 degrees celsius here today, very humid, I need many cups of water too! The curry helped of course! Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:18, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
I realised where they stole the KANK music from. The first few notes of this. Only the very beginning though. Listen to the first 1:35 it is just a very beautiful piece. I really don't like the middle low part though, it spoils it. The first 1:35 is genius though. Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:02, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Yes the English lesson was funny! Yes I think I must be the most awarded by now, some of the other editors who you think would have as many like Piotrus and Polylerus even Mr. Yellow Monkey don't seem to have many awards. Have you ever heard of Krystian Zimerman? Greatest living pianist in my view. Vladimir Horowitz was the greatest of the 20th century though followed by Arthur Rubenstein. My mum and sister are virtuoso pianists. I am accomplished but I never reached the standard they did as when I reached 15 I stopped playing and concentrated on guitar which I've been playing since 7. Of late I've rekindled my interest though and am currently playing Chopin's Nocturnes Op. 9 (Chopin) in E flat major. Amazing piece. Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:20, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Yundi Li is one of the best too but he tends to bang a little too much. Check out the piece I'm currently learning to play here Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:23, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Happy 22nd birthday!!
[edit]Hahaa you thought I'd forget!! Happy birthday amigo!!! Here are twenty two candles to celebrate your birthday! Hope you are having a great day, I was going to post this last night as you are 10 hours ahead I believe!! Anyway Best Wishes and may you have a great time!
All the best! Dr. Blofeld White cat 07:47, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Ooo actually Rafał Blechacz is on the same level as Zimerman. Brilliant brilliant pianist. Dr. Blofeld White cat 08:36, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Mr. Bigglesworth is smiling like a Cheshire cat at you! Dr. Blofeld White cat 11:11, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
You've probably read this already! Dr. Blofeld White cat 11:15, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Looks a really good book. I think it could probably be used a source for some of the earlier films and actors too.... Dr. Blofeld White cat 11:21, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Funny how of late people seem to be trying to remove what they perceive as POV compared to adding their own!! Hey I've just started Architecture of Mumbai. I opposed the FAC on Mumbai based on the fact the writer completely ignored architecture or discussing notable buildings and still refuses to mention it. Any notable buildings I could mention? Dr. Blofeld White cat 14:45, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Yellow Monkey opposed the Mumbai FAC too because of sourcing. It is a good article but is missing a lot of notable info.. It should be comprehensive and most articles on cities at least mention cityscape and layout etc even if briefly. Dr. Blofeld White cat 14:57, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for finding the link, I was going to suggest starting it but I see we have an article already... Dr. Blofeld White cat 15:22, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
That gives me an idea. I think I'll start a Template:Architecture of India. Might inspire some people to follow my Mumbai example and do the other main cities. Dr. Blofeld White cat 17:09, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Hi I've replied but I'm feeling sicky today, stomach bug and just feeling awful. I've taken some strong painkillers to stop me being sick for the time being, too tired to edit today... Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:12, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Seems a pointless RFC doesn't it?. I'm off to bed now I've tried to stay up as long as I can... Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow, hope you enjoyed your birthday, best Dr. Blofeld White cat 17:10, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

re:TZP
[edit]Hi Shahid- Great, always glad to hear that editors would like to work on Taare Zameen Par. It is almost but not quite ready for GAC. It still needs more development, particularly in production, which will take the time and research of a group of editors. Why don't you contact --Legolas who is also interested in working on TZP? I really believe that if a group of editors work on it, we can bring it to GAC. I'd like to see it eventually go through FAC but that will have to be down the road. -Classicfilms (talk) 16:22, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]Hey Shahid, as you know, there is an idiotic user who is vandalising Bollywood articles. Currently, he is vandalising Kareena Kapoor's article and I am seriously getting fed up of it. The user has been temporarily blocked from editing though I am afraid that he might come on with another IP address and start making unconstructive edits again. If you don't mind, I was wondering whether you could list Kapoor's article for protection just like how you did for Priyanka Chopra's article. I would greatly appreciate your help with this matter. Best Regards -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 18:50, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- Shukriya dost!! :) I still haven't gotten the chance to see Kaminey yet. Judging by all the reviews I have read so far, it looks like it is a good film. However, I am not surprised with this as Vishal Bhardwaj is indeed a pure genius. Have you seen it?? (P.S. Happy Belated Birthday Wishes to you my friend!! Hope you had a great day on your birthday!!) Best Regards -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 17:07, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit]blocked YellowMonkey (cricket photo poll!) paid editing=POV 02:18, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
Has to be said the behaviour of some people on here is embarrassing! I'm sure you are also aware of somebody who left wikipedia because I created some articles to help their project on Palestine. Meanwhile while I spend time working on them I get yelled at and have a wikipedian go off in a huff and "leave wikipedia" because I tried to help the project. Talk about assuming bad faith. I'm sure you;ve also had a gutful with people moaning at you all the time about POV. Why don't these people stop crying and do somethign constructive, like actually add good content to lacking articles eh? Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:50, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
User:Furrfrak just added a POV tag to my user talk page about 30 seconds after I left you a message. Is this Red Pen?
More trouble eh? Tell me about it. I gather you saw what they wrote about me on that forum and why I snapped at somebody last night.... I must hold the world record for the shortest block... Anyway. Apparently I am worse than trolls and vandals and am more of a threat to the cause of knowledge on here than anyone and create the worst articles known to man. This is true undoubtedly of course. I'll look into it shortly! Hope you are well! Dr. Blofeld White cat 15:28, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Asha Bhosle not famous? Hahaha. Only like the most famous Indian singer in the world... Dr. Blofeld White cat 15:37, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Is he from Leh or Srinigar maybe? Probably a big fan of another Indian film industry, probably a singer promoter from the Assamese film industry LOL trying to deny Bollywood. Dr. Blofeld White cat 15:55, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Hey I didn't see your message!!!! Where, Talk:Aishwarya Rai? I think it was because I received some others at the same time!! Dr. Blofeld White cat 11:57, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Hehe yep you posted 1 minute before Dahn did. When I got the talk page message Dahn's came up or that was what I saw!! I wasn't ignoring you amigo LOL. Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:02, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
He is definately a music promoter from the Tamil or Telugu film industry. The whole Internet and world is agreeing with Shahid just because he is their friend LOL. Cornershop are known to be good friends with Shahid which is why they made Bhosle the subject of Brimful of Asha. Haha Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:05, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
The calendar pic I have of her this month is beautiful. She looks like Catherine Zeta in it! Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:08, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
I'm sure those singers he referred to are widely known in southern India but not around the world, honestly. I've repsonded to him on his talk page, look at the POV in Vani Jayaram. Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:17, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Have a listen toZimerman. What do you think of his technical ability? You have to watch most of it otherwise you don't get an understanding of his range Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:49, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Did you listen to the clip I gave you? It probably isn't to your taste but I think he is amazing. You should make apost at WP:Actors of the problem and see if Wildhart, Rossrs and the others comment. I'll say something once you've mentioned it. It is perfectly acceptable I think.. Dr. Blofeld White cat 20:25, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Yeah that's what I mean he amazes you how he can go from one part to chromatics and a gallop sort of pace and then out of its again. He is much better than Yundi Li. Lang Lang is excellent but I much prefer Zimerman, he has the most class and classical touch. Dr. Blofeld White cat 20:46, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- Shahid, I needed to ask you something. According to you, can Kambakkht Ishq be classified as a success??? -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 01:46, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- Shahid, I noticed that you had reverted User:Aryan1992's additions of other awards on the pages of Priyanka Chopra & Ameesha Patel indicating that only FA & NFA are permitted. However, upon looking at the pages of other Hollywood actors like Jolie, Streep, Winslet, Pitt, etc, I think it is definitely not a bad idea. Instead of adding all the awards an actor was nominated for/won, we should just include the following 6 awards: (National Film Award, Filmfare, Star Screen, Zee Cine, IIFA & Stardust [as well as international film awards like in the case of the CIFF Silver Hugo - Best Actress Award for Ms.Zinta]) - all of which are prominent and annual awards given to the Indian film industry. Lastly, all of these award ceremonies have an article of their own as well as separate pages for each category thus showing that these awards are more prominent than let say, an award like the Sansui Awards or an award conducted by fans. -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 02:42, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
