Self harm
[edit]Hello! Thank you for your recent efforts on the self harm article, they are appreciated. However, I have had to replace one of your references with a {{fact}} template since the link does not appear to work. If I might suggest, it may be better to use the {{citation}} template when citing sources, you may have noticed I have already converted one of your references into this format. If you need any help on this please let me know. Happy editing! :) Jdrewitt (talk) 13:19, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
- I just realised, the article you were trying to cite is listed on your user page. I have thus replaced the {{fact}} template with the appropriate citation: Farber, S., Jackson, C., Tabin, J., & Bachar, E. (2007). Death and annihilation anxieties in anorexia nervosa, bulimia, and self-mutilation. Psychoanalytic Psychology 24, 2: 289-305. Cheers, Jdrewitt (talk) 13:46, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks so much. I just realized myself the error I made, and I made it more than once, and so am fixing it. I have also written a short article about my work and will link it to the self-injury page.Sharonkfarber (talk) 16:13, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Article help
[edit]Hello, with regards to you request for help on creating a biography page, it is strongly discouraged to edit articles related to or about yourself, see WP:COI. I would, therefore, recommend keeping any biographical information on yourself on your userpage (Please note there are also guidelines on what content can be included to your userpage WP:UP#NOT, excessive personal information is not encouraged). You may, however, cite yourself in articles, as long as the sources meet the wikipedia reliable sources guidelines WP:RS.
If you would like more information on how to create a wikipedia page, then this article may be of interest. Jdrewitt (talk) 20:34, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
I created an article and requested editing help. Attached at the top of the article was the following message: It is requested that an edit be made to this article that the user below does not want to make because of a conflict of interest.
I removed the last paragraph as it occurred to me that there was nothing notable and could be construed as self-promoting, yet the above message remained. It is not clear what seems to be a conflict of interest and would appreciate understanding this. ˜˜˜˜
- Sorry I just noticed the wikilink I gave you on how to create a page was incorrect, I should have directed you here. With regards to your conflict of interest question, this should be answered here. If not try asking at the wikipedia help desk http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Help_desk Jdrewitt (talk) 21:08, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
