I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Onomasticon, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. I agree, it should be deleted (Sfoucher 19:14, 6 March 2007 (UTC)).[reply]

Thank you for uploading Image:NewCapacity.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 17:10, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:OilMegaprojects2005.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Histograms.4.jpg. The copy called Image:Histograms.4.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. OilMegaProjects articles

[edit]

Could you please provide some context (or, indeed, any information at all) on the OilMegaProjects articles you have created? I am very close to marking them CSD but I think there is actual information in them... somewhere. Thanks for the help expanding Wikipedia, it's appreciated. Padillah (talk) 16:04, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ouch! that would be bad. We have put quite a large amount of time on that important project. we are in the process of reformatting the pages and provide context and some background on the main page (probably in the next few days).
Thanks for the feedback. We've been very focussed on the tables (which are the hard work) and have neglected the overview explanatory material. We will fix this in the next couple of days.Stuartstaniford (talk) 18:52, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think the tables derived from Simmons are incorrecas in the book no discovery volumes are gives for 2000,s or 2010s.. Were does this come from, it contradicts current thinking as shows 25 GB per year discovery fro last 2 decades and future decade.. Your assumptions of Chicontepec contribs to 2008 are way out.. Best case 360kbpd in 2014, they are assuming 32 percent annual growth (crazy) so in 2008 add 48 kbpd.. www.energycurrent.com/index.php?id=2&storyid=7644 aceditor —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.171.129.70 (talk) 18:13, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sfoucher. You made some great contributions on energy related issues. I thought you might like to be aware of the opportunity to contribute to the energy portal. If you are able to help and wish to show your support (and to automatically add yourself to the list of Wikipedians plugged into the Energy Portal), you might also like to paste one of these user boxes onto your user page (according to your colour preference!):

Paste this text... ...to get this tag
{{User_energy_portal_blue}}
This user is plugged into the Energy Portal.
{{User_energy_portal_red}}
This user is plugged into the Energy Portal.
{{User_energy_portal_blaze}}
This user is plugged into the Energy Portal.

Thanks for uploading File:Peakplateau5.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Speedy deletion of Template:Oilfield

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:Oilfield requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thank you for uploading File:World-Oil-HL.svg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 04:01, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:OilMegaprojects2006.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 02:45, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

IEEE technical societies

[edit]

If you are a member of one or more of the IEEE technical societies, you may wish to identify yourself as such on Wikipedia. I’ve created Wikipedian categories for each of the 38 IEEE technical societies. The new Template:User IEEE member creates a userbox identifying the society and your membership grade and includes your user page in the relevant Wikipedian category. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a note. Yours aye,  Buaidh  20:00, 11 December 2013 (UTC) — IEEE Life Member[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
