Your Lombardo-related contributions
[edit]Tthe Lombardo related contributions are quite accurate. The administrators defiiceint knowledge of Italian history and his/her inaccessibility to unpublished archives has led him/her to unfounded accusations. Travel to Italy is a must and researching unpublished records substantiates historical fact. It is a sad day when peers review articles with limited or no knowledge of the topic.(70.155.38.78 (talk) 20:09, 1 December 2010 (UTC))
- In that case, Dr. Essen, I am sorry to say that they are still not appropriate for Wikipedia. The role of Wikipedia is to document existing mainstream information, not to advance new research and have it peer-reviewed. See Wikipedia:No original research, the key policy applicable to this matter. If you have uncovered new information which reveals the existence of an alternate claim on the throne of the Two Sicilies, it should be directed towards an academic journal or publisher with the resources and expertise to review it, not here. We need some assurance of that review to add the information to Wikipedia, not just "I saw it in some archives that aren't available." See also Wikipedia:Reliable sources. Please do not add hoaxes to Wikipedia. Hoaxes are caught and marked for deletion shortly after they are created. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia – and then to correct them if possible. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia in an attempt to test our ability to detect and remove such material. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can make a positive impact. Thank you.
If you continue to add invented information on the Lombardo family (particularly invented books for which no bibliographic record can be found elsewhere) and claiming to be the rightful heir of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, you will be blocked for disruption. Even if this claim does not originate entirely with you, Wikipedia is not the place to advance novel theories about your family's genealogy. The purpose of Wikipedia is to summarize the viewpoint of mainstream academic and scholarly sources, not to advance original research. Choess (talk) 01:06, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
