Arthur Conan Doyle

You removed my edit on Conan Doyle's page, I edited it as he is Scottish, as he was born in Scotland as stated on his page, you removed this edit, why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Faceitengland (talkcontribs) 14:23, 25 April 2022 (UTC)

Hello Faceitengland, is there a scottish passport, is Scotland a separate state? Regards --Serols (talk) 14:27, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
So why do some pages say Scottish, some say English? and the other say British? Faceitengland (talk) 14:29, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
Shakespeare for example, is English, either edit that, or Doyle is Scottish Faceitengland (talk) 14:31, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
Hello Faceitengland, only the nationality is the correct designation. Regards --Serols (talk) 14:34, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
Can you please explain? Nationality is the correct designation? For who/what? As you said for Scotland, England doesn't have a passport, nor is it a separate state, so Shakespeare is by accounts British then. Faceitengland (talk) 14:36, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
Hello Faceitengland, please read the talk page -> Talk:Arthur_Conan_Doyle#RfC_about_Arthur_Conan_Doyle's_nationality. Regards --Serols (talk) 14:51, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
I have, you didn't answer my question though, please read above and answer. Faceitengland (talk) 14:55, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
Hello Faceitengland, I'm sure you know what I mean. Please use the talk page until a consensus is found. Regards --Serols (talk) 15:05, 25 April 2022 (UTC)

For your information...

Thanks for reverting vandalism on Wikipedia! However, I'd like to bring up something that I believe we talked about years ago. Someone vandalized the Brontosaurus article, which I reverted. I was going to leave a warning on the vandal's talk page, but I got an edit conflict notice and found out that you warned the user. It must have happened because I edit-conflicted you, but as you're a Huggle user, the program went on warning the person anyway. It's OK if you don't have any control over it; just thought I'd let you know. Keep fighting those vandals! --LPS and MLP Fan (Littlest Pet Shop and My Little Pony Fan) 18:07, 25 April 2022 (UTC)

Hello LPS and MLP Fan, the warning was initiated by me and not automatically. In the last few weeks, users have appeared again and again, who have actively participated in combating vandalism, but have not left any warnings with the relevant IPs/users. As a result, they could vandalise for hours. With Huggle you can immediately see if a user has been warned, if not, you can generate the warning. Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention to the fact that you were the one, who had initiated the revert and are making the warning manually and not automatically, which takes a little longer. You know what you're doing, so I want to apologize for taking the warning off you. Best wishes --Serols (talk) 14:15, 27 April 2022 (UTC)
I see now. No worries, and happy editing! LPS and MLP Fan (Littlest Pet Shop and My Little Pony Fan) 17:21, 27 April 2022 (UTC)

Wealthiest Historical Figures

Hello, I am trying to fix inaccurate claims on the page listing the wealthiest historical figures. Can you explain why you keep on reverting my changes?

Hello GaloisCategories, you know what the word historical means? --Serols (talk) 11:16, 1 May 2022 (UTC)
Well I would say that it is a bit ambiguous when something becomes historical. One could argue that anything in the past (such as elon musk reaching a net worth of 340.4 billion dollars on november 4th) is a historical event. However, I can understand that there is some grey area of how the word 'historical' might be interpreted. The issue is that when someone searches 'richest ever person' into google, this is the first article that appears. As a result, I think it is misleading to not list currently alive people who are richer than anyone who has ever lived in the past. GaloisCategories (talk) 11:39, 1 May 2022 (UTC)
Hello GaloisCategories, then we wait until there is a consensus on the article talk page. --Serols (talk) 11:45, 1 May 2022 (UTC)
There is already concensus on the talk page that the article is inaccurate, and needs to be updated with current information. GaloisCategories (talk) 11:54, 1 May 2022 (UTC)
Hello GaloisCategories, the word historical is actually clearly defined. --Serols (talk) 11:57, 1 May 2022 (UTC)
Indeed it is. According to google, 'historical' means "of or concerning history or past events". In other words, something that occurred on the 4th of November 2021 is historical. GaloisCategories (talk) 12:16, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

Bruce W Nickerson

I feel that I followed guidelines with my addition of the link. It 100% reinforces content.

All facts considered, Mr. Nickerson paid my company for that article. Please put back. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.250.9.11 (talk) 21:27, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

I have to ask...

How the heck are you so fast with your vandal reversions? I saw a revert of that IP you were dealing with just now and joined in watching its contribs, and you were reverting it within seconds on most of its edits. I've never managed to be that fast dealing with vandals. Impressive work! Tony Fox (arf!) 18:06, 4 May 2022 (UTC)

Hello Tony Fox, I use the program Wikipedia:Huggle. Regards --Serols (talk) 18:11, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
Aha! I've always used Twinkle, I may have to take a closer look at Huggle if it's that effective. Thanks! Tony Fox (arf!) 18:14, 4 May 2022 (UTC)

What’s the deal

Hey I fixed a spelling mistake and you immediately remove it and post something on my talk page. OK, we don’t agree about spelling. But why put crap on so much talk page as though I did something wrong just because I don’t agree with your opinion on spelling? Why do we need to prowl around with electronic programs making a bad faith reverts of things that are really not hurtful in the first place and should be reviewed by a person before being reverted? 50.253.217.169 (talk) 17:14, 7 May 2022 (UTC)

Hello 50.253.217.169, please note and accept the aticle title. --Serols (talk) 17:24, 7 May 2022 (UTC)

Why did you decided to remove my version with his date of birth added? Vi jackson (talk) 23:08, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
