Chrono Cross Characters

I think with just a bit more in the creation and reception, and getting ride of those cleanup tags this would be a solid C article :) Great work so far! Judgesurreal777 (talk) 22:48, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Thanks. I'll keep working on it on the coming weeks. I was thinking of replaying it too, so that'll also help with motivation too. Sergecross73 msg me 22:58, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
I only ever played the beginning, but I have loved the soundtrack since I first bought it in college in the 2000's. Would love another Chrono game. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 23:06, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
I've never beaten any rpg more than twice - I always get bored - except CC. I've beaten it 10 times now I think (the new game + makes playthroughs pretty fast though.) I love the soundtrack too, and have been wishing for a sequel for the last 15 years. It looks like I Am Setsuna is as close as gets, and even that isn't quite the same (and I'm bummed the Vita version isn't coming over.) Anyways, I could go on and on - I better stop before I get a NOTAFORUM warning on my own talk page haha. Sergecross73 msg me 23:13, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
Haha, i know what it's like, for me it's Chrono Trigger I have played many times just for the sheer joy of it, I'd love to see a movie made out of it. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 23:59, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
Who cares about NOTAFORUM!? I haven't replayed too many RPGs, but Fire Emblem 7 is an SRPG I've played through 50+ times. :D  · Salvidrim! ·  00:08, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, Chrono Trigger has a special in my heart as the very first "real" rpg I played. (Depending on where you draw the line, it was technically Pokemon Yellow -> Super Mario RPG -> Chrono Trigger). I do like Fire Emblem quite a bit too, 7 included, though I think Awakening was my favorite so far (haven't gotten to Fates yet though). Sergecross73 msg me 01:19, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
FE6/7 (which make up a whole game IMO) are my favourite, followed by FE8 and then FE13. I've yet to play Fates -- I refuse to play the localized censored version, but playing a fandub of the original requires modding my 3DS, and I've only just started delving into the procedure. :)  · Salvidrim! ·  02:23, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
I don't have any objection to the localization, I've just been on a Vita kick lately, while my 3DS "to buy" list grows... Sergecross73 msg me 02:47, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
Ok! The article is looking really good now, if we could get references for a bunch of those sentences without inline citations about what happens in the game and trimming anything that can't be sourced, this could even take a GA run! Upping to B! Judgesurreal777 (talk) 20:15, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, once I wrap up the trimming, then I'll start up adding more sources for what left. It'll be a busy weekend, but I'll keep at it next week. Sergecross73 msg me 21:26, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
Awesome job so far! How close do you think this article is to being a potential Good Article nominee? I dream of adding this article and the Characters of Chrono Trigger to the Chrono Topic. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 20:07, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
Thanks! I can't believe I've stuck with it, honestly - I rarely stick with a rewrite (or article creation) for much longer than a day or two, and we're already at 2 weeks here. As far as GA status though, you're asking the wrong person - I don't usually deal with the actual process much. Usually, I just do a big rewrite of an article, then another editor comes along, tidies it up a bit, and they make it a GA. I'm also nervous because there seemed to be a split on whether or not the article should even exist at WP:SE, so its hard to tell at what level it would have to be at to be a GA if someone like that chose to review it. (There are going to be some massive arguments if the reviewer comes in and tries to trim it down to nothing.) That being said, maybe someone with good experience with character-based articles, like Satellizer, would be willing to review it when its ready. I'd trust him on it. Sergecross73 msg me 20:59, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
Probably the best thing to do is complete the rewrite to your satisfaction and then ask our Wiki friend to look it over. It looks a million times better than it did! Judgesurreal777 (talk) 21:26, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
Sounds good. I'll keep chipping away at the CC characters article. I'll help with the CT characters article too, though that'll probably be more of a "few days" type effort than this massive one. Sergecross73 msg me 22:02, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

Some Help!

A user by the name of yoossshhhh has been disruptive editing a Kirby Character article, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kirby_(character)&action=history. I told the user many times to prove his/her reasonings by discussing their claim on the Kirby talk page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Yoossshhhh, but the user refuses to be civil and refuses to prove his/her claims in the edits. --Vaati the Wind Demon (talk) 21:52, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

I'm still having trouble trying to get him/her to discuss civilly, but he/she continues to hurl more insults at me while I try to speak. Anyways, I'm not sure what to do at this point so I'll be back in the morning, g'night! --Vaati the Wind Demon (talk) 04:16, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
I have given him a final warning over personal attacks and being civil. Thank you for trying to discuss this properly with him. Please keep at it a little more, and don't revert any more on the page once the article protection expires. If there are any more personal attacks, or if he reverts anymore, he will receive a block. Sergecross73 msg me 12:42, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
From the bottom of my Heart, I sincerely thank you! It can be hard to keep patience at times in this manner, but regardless, on Wikipedia, the only way to get through resolve is through patience, evidence, respect and honor! --Vaati the Wind Demon (talk) 12:50, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
No problem, I know how difficult it can be to deal with uncivil editors and/or self-proclaimed experts who feel their above the rules. Let me know if you need further help. Sergecross73 msg me 17:32, 20 May 2016 (UTC)

Potential block?

Hello, I don't believe our paths have formally crossed before, so it's nice to meet you. I noticed you blocked Blink 98 for block evasion recently. Skull 22 seems to be doing the exact same thing as Blink 98 was: creating copies of Rise Against in their sandbox and asking similar questions. Thought I'd bring this to your attention. @Wiae: As info, Jg9443 (talk · contribs) is the sockmaster. -- ferret (talk) 00:51, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
Thank you, Wiae. Please keep notifying me whenever you find any editors like him. It's as ferret says, it's is Jg9443. He's an editor who is obsessed with changing the genre of Rise Against to melodic hardcore, but is sadly very far below the WP:COMPETENCE level to do it. I mean, like I've spent literal months trying to express basic concepts of Wikipedia (use sources, how to determine if something is an RS) and he has made zero progress. He usually struggles to provide a working link to a source even. As you may have noticed, telltale signs are making an entire draft just to alter the genre (because the page is protected) and having circular logic that doesn't ever really explain why or address any of your follow up concerns. Sergecross73 msg me 01:06, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
Just as a further follow up, SimpleWiki is blocking each new account as well, as he is repeating the same behavior there and forced them to protect the article too. -- ferret (talk) 01:12, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for telling me that. I do feel a bit bad whenever I have to do a CONPETENCE block. I'm glad I'm not the only one who came to the conclusion that he's beyond hopeless. Sergecross73 msg me 01:15, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
@Sergecross73 and Ferret: Thanks for the background and the block. I hang out at AfC so I'll let you know if I see any new user accounts that might match the sockmaster's activity. Thanks again, /wiae /tlk 04:54, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

I need some more move help...

Sorry to bother you again! I was going to move these two articles and their corresponding talk pages, but can't, so I figured I'd ask you.

Thanks.--IDVtalk 18:46, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

No problem. Despite the fact I haven't been quite as fast with some of the requests, I really am happy to help. I know it sucks "waiting in line" with some of these noticeboards with these sorts of things. I think I did the moves correctly. Let me know if I messed up, or if you have further moves to be done. Sergecross73 msg me 18:52, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
Thanks! Now I have to ask, do you know why "No, Thank You!!!" was blacklisted? Is it some automatic thing based on how there are three exclamation marks in a row, or what?--IDVtalk 18:54, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
That is weird - I have no idea. It didn't actually even give me a notification about that at all... Sergecross73 msg me 18:59, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
  • It's a technical limitation. Titles with two consecutive exclamation marks break part of Wikipedia's inner workings (mostly table stuff), hence we prefer to use the unicode character (‼) instead of two consecutive exclamation marks (!!). Unfortunately, there is no "triple exclamation mark" unicode character, and using a double + a single makes it look too weird (‼! or !‼). I've opted to move the page to the unicode double mark character and will add a header notice (like on DK King of Swing).  · Salvidrim! ·  20:00, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

Connected registered user and their IP address

Hey, I have a question about a not necessarily hot topic, but one that may be acceptable to address. Bens dream, who is a sparsely active editor, often gets into disputes, then resolves to log off and edit from the IP address 81.108.161.238. Since it's an IP address utilized for edit-warring, should we perhaps tag it up, for any future disputes? Again, very low priority, as the user makes good faith edits, but it may be prudent. If so, then it would be necessary to restore all the notices that were reverted by Ben on that IP page, per Wikipedia:User pages. DARTHBOTTO talkcont 03:33, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

I looked it over some. If you notice it happen again, let me know, and I can give a lecture on WP:VALIDALT etc to him. I'm going to wait though for now, just because of a general lack of activity. Disney Magical World 2

Could you add the Disney Magical World 2's North American box art to the article that was recently revealed? Thanks! Zacharyalejandro (talk) 04:20, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

I actually don't really work with images at all, other than occassional discussions on the appropriateness of image choices. The article is tagged for needing boxart, and it looks like somebody may have tried to do it but done the formatting wrong, so hopefully it'll be implemented/fixed soon enough. Characters of Chrono Cross

Do you mind if I nominate this for good article status? Seems all set. Great job! Judgesurreal777 (talk) 20:58, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

Why don't we give it one more week. There's some entries in the middle of the list that can use some sourcing. Later in the week I should have some time. I got burned out for a bit and got wrapped up in a music-related project, but now I'm burned out on that and moving back into this. Sergecross73 msg me 00:55, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
Sorry, I haven't been able to focus on this. I've got E3 fever, and feel compelled to create articles for these newly announced Vita games. I can't imagine this'll improve next week either, with actual E3 happening and all. Its up to you on how you want to handle it. I don't think it'll pass a GAN in its current shape, but then again, some argue story details don't need sources, and that's the only stuff left to be sourced - all the dev and reception details are good to go. I guess its up to you. You could nominate it as is, and see how it goes, or you could wait and work on the Characters of Chrono Trigger project for now, and then maybe we'll each work on getting each respective article up and ready in the coming few weeks. AtlusZachary

Hi. You blocked AtlusZachary (talk · contribs) in January. It looks like Zachary new 13 (talk · contribs) is an obvious sock, as is 2A02:C7D:564B:D300:F0AF:3E31:A9EB:E342 (talk · contribs · WHOIS). The logged in account explicitly says so on its user page, and it's more-or-less restoring disruptive edits made by the IP editor. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 16:35, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Thank you very much NinjaRobotPirate, yes, there has been like a year spanning effort to remove his bad edits to Wikipedia. He continues to make bad edits to video game articles, as he seems to flat out not understand the roles of developers and publishers in video games, and seems incapable to be taught or communicated with about it. Please let me know if/when you ever come across his edits. We all revert them on spot, as he's essentially blocked into oblivion with the level of times he's block evaded. Huh. First time I've seen him. I'll keep an eye out for him. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 16:46, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, I don't particularly remember when, other than I recall stumbling upon his work sometime in early 2015. He kept on making these weird edits, claiming that Nintendo developed Disney Infinity or Sonic Colors since they were on Nintendo platforms, or that Capcom developed Smash 4 because Megaman was a playable character. Bizarre lines of reasoning. Well assumably. He's never really every addressed these sorts of concerns, he mostly ignores us, and occasionally has outbursts where he tells me he hates me, or that he's going to block me somehow. IGDB page deletion

Hi,

I found this article from a Swedish publisher. But right, other stuff seems to be in Reddit etc.

Videogameknowledge (talk) 20:30, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, you're right. I can't read it, but it looks like significant commentary on it, and I believe all regional variants of IGN are considered reliable/usable, so that would be a good source. Find a few more like that and you could have a good "keep" argument. Sergecross73 msg me 21:59, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

Here's a recent one; it's a press release, but published in Gamasutra, so don't really know how to deal with it.

(talk page stalker) I do not know how complete the speedy deleted article was, but the best course of action is probably for you to work on it in the draft space at Draft:IGDB. Maybe Serge could restore the deleted one for you and move it to draftspace. You can add the sources you find to the draft, and as long as you're actively working on it, it won't be in danger of being deleted based on speedy deletion criteria. Once the article is ready, you can submit it for review. The reviewers will help point out any issues, and if they are happy, it will move back to mainspace. Going through AFC (Creation review) will pretty much show the article is solid and safe from speedy deletes. It should also be sufficient to avoid an AFD (Deletion discussions). -- ferret (talk) 13:34, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
Actually, this one's just at AFD, it is here. Sergecross73 msg me 14:16, 11 June 2016 (UTC)

hey >Sergecross73 i'm still getting used to this site can you show me how to message people privite? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sonicgalaxy27 (talkcontribs) —Preceding undated comment added 02:27, 10 June 2016‎ (UTC)

Hi Sonicgalaxy27. To let you know, the only way to "private message" someone would be if the user has an email linked up to their Wikipedia account. Many experienced/long-term editors like myself have this enabled, but many do not as well. There's a way to check. If you're viewing this on a computer, look at all the options on the left site of the website, directly under the Wikipedia logo. If you look at the options under the "Tools" section, one option would be "Email this user". If you click on that, you'd go to the area to compose an email. If you're here, on my talk page or user page, the email would go to me. To send it to someone else, you'd go to their user page and see if they have the "Email this user" option. If its there, you can email them. If it's not, then that means they don't have it set up, and you can't email/private message them.
Let me know if you have any other questions, and I'll try to help. Sergecross73 msg me 13:09, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD

I know it has a world map, so what about in that instance? Here's the line I was sourcing from Game Informers review of the game: "Mission structure is a seesaw between combat-oriented sorties and slower-paced sequences back at the academy. With limited time between events, you need to choose whether to attend class, trigger conversation events, or venture into the open world." I know it's not typically classified as such, but the general rule is that you can add the category as long as you have a reliable source for it AND no one opposes it, so I just wanted to clarify my reasoning for adding it. Thanks.Dohvahkiin (talk) 02:30, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Are there any other sources that call it "open world". From my reading on it, this is a fringe belief by the reviewer. I don't believe it's typically called that, nor does this game really contain an actual "open world"... Sergecross73 msg me 02:37, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
That's the only one. For future reference though, I've come across a few cases like that, where only one review out of like ten to fifteen that are reliable will call a game open world. Dark Souls would be one example of that. Borderlands as well. What actually differentiates the fringe beliefs?Dohvahkiin (talk) 02:42, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
It depends, but generally if only one source states it, and you can't find any others to verify it, like this situation, then it's probably more of a fringe theory. Contrast that with something like Assassins Creed or Watch Dogs where I'm sure you could find 10+ sources in a simple quick search. Sergecross73 msg me 02:56, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi

If you find time for it, please take a look at this comment and [1] by an established user. Calling someone a "sicko" and implying that it is not even enough to explain how they feel about someone is excessive and uncivil. Also the rationale itself for the AfD is uncivil in my opinion. I might be wrong but it seems to be over the top.--BabbaQ (talk) 20:02, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi BabbaQ. I've looked it over some. I've left a message on the user's talk page requesting that they follow Wikipedia's mantra of "Comment on content, not people". I agree, he shouldn't be saying things like that, especially in his nomination statement. I think a warning is sufficient for now, but let me know if you see him continuing to do this going forward, and I can intervene further. Thanks! Sergecross73 msg me 20:23, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
There is also another editor at the AfD that onces again attacks me, this is an annual occurence over the last few years with taunting messages about me. [2], [3] these are this years insults so far. And it always happens in June. He has already been warned not to write these kind of stuff about me in the past [4]. Anyways, just notifying you. As an AfD is not the place for these kind of remarks.--BabbaQ (talk) 06:46, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
I also wonder why this kind of taunting is necessary by the user. He keeps doing this all the time. --BabbaQ (talk) 12:49, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
And just to show you that the user you warned has a history of taunting messages here is another link from March [5]. I will leave it at this for now. Thank you for your assistance.BabbaQ (talk) 13:02, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
It is a fact you always vote keep without fail at AfDs. And in this context Paul Austin has selectively notified you knowing this. Canvassing by contacting users with known persuasion of voting pattern to vote stack an AfD is strongly discouraged. If you found the AfD your own way via say deletion listing I'd have no issue. That is the context here. Trying to bad mouth me behind my back is hardly good form on your part. LibStar (talk) 13:23, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
He is free to contact me regarding concerns of other editors, he has no need to notify you. I understand his concern. You, along with a number of other participants, need to concern yourself about the subject of the article more, and the editors less. A simple "there may be canvassing" note is sufficient. Canvassing is not good, but it doesn't need to be discussed at length in the AFD. That should come down to whether the subject meets the GNG, 1E, etc. Sergecross73 msg me 13:27, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
Libstar is again seeking conflict with me, it happens every June its like Christmas. Anyway, Sergecrosss73 is completely right, you need to calm down and not treating AfD discussions as a stage for combats.--BabbaQ (talk) 13:29, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
(edit conflict) I've left a comment at the AFD in general, as it seems many are spiraling off-topic into areas not relevant to the deletion discussion. As a side note: Am I missing something here? People seem really fired up over this deletion. Are there long-term disputes with these editors? Or a rift in the Crime-related WikiProject on how to handle this or something. It seems like there's something more here, people seem awfully emotional for an article about a decade old murder case... Sergecross73 msg me 13:04, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
I am not really involved in the dispute. But it seems to be some kind of dispute between TheLongTone and Paul Benjamin Austin with Libstar getting involved. I think it is a classic deletionist-inclusionist dispute. But in my opinion it seems like TheLongTone is the user that took the discussion to that level, I mean how hard can it be to keep a discussion at a civil level. I think it is really weird that the user goes to that extent to try to smear another user. Libstar are no better with taunting messages and as usual refering to me. I will not get involved in that dispute. I do not see either why this particular article would be the source for such harsh reactions from everyone. And the matter of possible canvassing is really irrelevant as for example, I would have !voted Keep as soon as the article had popped up on the Crime article deletion list anyway as it is a keep article in my opinion. BabbaQ (talk) 13:13, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
I see now by the response from Libstar at the AfD that he does not care about your good AGF attempt to stop the arguments. This is the scenario every single time unfortunately.--BabbaQ (talk) 13:15, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
And now you are yourself being taunted by another user involved in that AfD. They are really pushing for reactions... yeez. Just breath and ignore it.BabbaQ (talk) 13:17, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

If you have an issue take it up at WP:ANI. It sounds like you are pleading with this single admin to take action against people unilaterally. LibStar (talk) 13:25, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

I taking inappropriate comments up with a admin. Live with it. Goodbye.BabbaQ (talk) 13:26, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
Yes but you keep expecting more. If you have an issue take it up at WP:ANI so that a number of admins can look at it. LibStar (talk) 13:30, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
You yourself continue to use AfDs as a battle ground, but I can not contact an admin about it. BabbaQ (talk) 13:32, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
I encourage editors to come straight to me to look into issues, due to the craziness that is ANI, so please do not direct people otherwise. (At least not on my talk page. It is not welcome advice here.) I request you stop claiming wrong-doing as well. BabbaQ asked me to look into something, I agreed, and I've left notes. That's all there is here. I don't understand why you're all so wound up on a decade old murder article. I don't recall interacting with any of you in the past, so I have no preconceived notions. I just saw a lot of editors commenting on editors, not content, and warned accordingly. Its as simple as that. Sergecross73 msg me 13:41, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

And I am noting that you continue to ignore Sergecross73 comments and continue to POV push about me contacting admins about your behaviour. It seems like you can not get the point that Serge is trying to explain to you.BabbaQ (talk) 13:47, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
Also, why have to removed the Hi section name for this discussion Libstar? Do not edit other peoples comments etc.BabbaQ (talk) 13:48, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

The removal of the hi was a mistake as I'm editing on my phone. Apologies LibStar (talk) 13:50, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

While notifying multiple Admin was unnecessary, I'm not sure its really considered ADMINSHOPPING if he was contacting us one after the next, irregardless of our replies. It'd be one thing if I told him "no", and then he went to another person asking for another opinion. It seems he just asked a bunch of admin rapid-fire. Sergecross73 msg me 13:54, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
This is basically Libstars MO, he keeps going on and on about a certain event or topic. While at the same time completely disregarding any advice he himself gets. And reverting attention from the real question at hand. I have danced this dance many times before.BabbaQ (talk) 13:58, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

And this is not a personal attack and uncivil comment? WP:KETTLE. LibStar (talk) 14:01, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Uh, no, not really. I mean, I can't comment on it going back for years, but it certainly sounds accurate to the last 24 hours I've observed with you. Sergecross73 msg me 14:04, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
I will not comment on this any further, my only advice for Libstar is to give me no reason to contact admins about his behavior. With comments about me, and battle ground mentality at AfDs. That is all. Thanks.BabbaQ (talk) 13:59, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
Indeed, sometimes it is best not to engage people when there is nothing left to talk about. This doesn't appear to be going anywhere. I think we can all wrap this up. Sergecross73 msg me 14:04, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
Yes, definitely. There is no point in trying to use reason. Thank you for handling the situation to the best of your ability, as an admin always should :) Regards, --BabbaQ (talk) 14:37, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Overlinking

Common terms do not need to be linked anywhere in an article. See WP:OVERLINK. With that said, if you're going to go against that guideline, don't revert the timeline changes as well as you did here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Shinedown&diff=prev&oldid=725574061 Walter Görlitz (talk) 14:32, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

Oh please, don't give me that "going against the guidelines" crap. I'm very aware of the linking guidelines. "Common terms" is a subjective value, it's not something objective like vandalism. It's not a hard, "black or white" rule. Some articles link band roles, others don't. Many GA/FAs link them. (21st Century Breakdown, Smashing Pumpkins, A Perfect Circle, etc.) I prefer linking personally. Also, if you don't like all your work being undone, don't make so many changes in one edit. Sergecross73 msg me 14:57, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
Oh please. You call it crap but then link to BRD. You're full of crap. if you're aware of linking but you ignore the guidelines you're a useless editor. Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:22, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
Do you really not see the difference? I'm subjectively going against your interpretation of a subjective guideline requiring a judgment call, of which I even provided evidence of precedent showing that both are acceptable approaches. You are objectively not following WP:BRD. And now you've resorted to personal attacks? And I'm the bad guy here? Yikes... Sergecross73 msg me 15:27, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

Gregg Vance

USER: LOSANGELESDODGERS114 - (edit) sergecross73 is it possible to either private chat or email you directly to discuss a deletion of a wikipedia page? The page is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregg_Vance I feel that the new article was significantly different and I feel it met the guide lines as an actor. (1.Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions. 2.Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following. 3.Has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment.) Can you please review the last article and the dispute i posted but it was not reviewed in time before the automatic deletion. I would greatly appreciate any guidance and help thank you. 63.173.125.138 (talk) 16:11, 15 June 2016 (UTC)LosAngelesDodgers114

  • Hi there. We can actually just discuss it right here. Anyways, looking at the article, I think the main problem is the lack of of sources on Gregg Vance. You seem to be referencing WP:ENT, but if you look at the whole page at where ENT is, you'll see that it's under the "additional criteria". The main criteria for determining whether or not any subject should have its own article would be higher on that page - at WP:BASIC, which ultimately is the General Notabilty Guideline. It basically says that a subject needs reliable, third party sources that discuss the subject in significant detail. The only source listed, the Variety movie review, does not provide this - it's only a short passing mention of him.
  • Basically, you'll want multiple (technically 2, though usually 4-5 is what it takes to convince naysayers) sources that cover him in significant detail. Feel free to run them by me,and I can let you know whether or not they are the right kinds of sources.
  • Also, User:Sergecross73/Why was my article deleted give a bunch of advice on handling your situation as well. Sergecross73 msg me 16:37, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

deleted page Actor Gregg Vance: Thank you for your quick response. I would appreciate you reading this link and letting me know if the Variety article is sufficient. I read your link basic: and it says that it is possible to have one article if the actor had a leading role. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#People_notable_for_only_one_event Can you please review my dispute on the last page deleted. Before it was deleted I wrote 4 reasons that the article should not be deleted. Can you please retrieve them and post them here so we can discuss them. Thank you. user:LosAngelesDodĝrs11 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:2201:900:F50A:775E:2EE1:F77A (talk) 02:40, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

Hey there. I don't think you're quite following me, or others, and that's why the article keeps getting deleted. It's not enough to just be a leading actor, you need to meet the WP:GNG. That means you need to provide multiple sources that discuss Gregg Vance in great detail. The Variety source is not good enough - it's a very short movie review that barely says anything about Hregg Vance. Like, you need a whole article talking about just Gregg Vance. And it needs to be third party. It couldn't be from "www.greggvance.com" or his Facebook page or something. Sergecross73 msg me 02:58, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

PSP Game Sharing

Hi! I´m starting with wikipedia, so sorry if this is not the best channel to say this. Please, keep the full list on the List of Gamesharing games on PSP. The article does explain very well about what kind of services the Game Sharing capability provides. A little list only saying: "Game sharing: yes/no" does not explain what the game does. "Game Sharing" is just the ability for a title to be played with two PSP with just one UMD disc. Then, some titles give full access to multiplayer, while other launch mini-games, while others give access to cooperating modes. This information is not given in the case nor in most of manuals. This is why this list is vital. And actually this is the only place on the internet with all of this compendend information (I checked this by myself as I am a PSP collector) Please, consider to let the page this way Aldaren (talk) 21:35, 17 June 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aldaren (talkcontribs) 21:33, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

Please read Wikipedia's standards for something having its own article. The information must be covered in reliable, third party sources covering it in significant detail. The article has been unsourced since its creation in 2006. Unless you fix it up real soon, it's pretty certainly going to be deleted. Sergecross73 msg me 13:12, 18 June 2016 (UTC)

Monolith Soft

Dissident93 and 95.154.89.227 are in an edit war on Monolith Soft. Can you please do something about them, if it's within your power? Thanks! --MomoQca (talk) 20:16, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

I've protected the page for a week, and started up a discussion on their behalf to facilitate their discussion. Hopefully a consensus can be developed between them there. Feel free to discuss on the talk page as well. (Same goes for all my (talk page stalker)s. Sergecross73 msg me 20:36, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
