Pointless redirect?

[edit]

So I saw this page which is a pointless redirect, even more because the link for it is in this template, and I thought it would be alright to delete this page, as it is better an hyperlink for a page that doesn't exists, then someone might create it, but I have no idea how to suggest that. thanks for the help! Sekkuar (talk) 05:30, 8 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The only speedy-deletion criteria for redirects are at WP:CSD#Redirects, but this doesn't come under either of them - it's not recently created, so R3 doesn't apply. The way to suggest deleting it would be to nominate it at WP:Redirects for deletion.
But I don't think you would get agreement: redirects are cheap, and that song is mentioned in the article, so it serves some purpose. You have a point that a "redlink" might encourage someone to write an article, but I doubt whether the individual song is notable enough for a stand-alone article - see WP:NSONGS. I see in the history that it was started as a brief and unsatisfactory article and was then redirected as NSONGS suggests.
See WP:REDIRECT#CRD for more about when to keep or delete redirects.

Re:Sandbox

[edit]

Please experiment at Wikipedia Sandbox. --180.183.105.198 (talk) 14:42, 8 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Or better, at either Wikipedia:Sandbox or by clicking the link above that says "My sandbox", which creates your very own sandbox. Apteva (talk) 21:48, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

RM

[edit]

The requirement to move pages is earned by accounts that are "four days old and have made at least 10 edits". Now that you have done 11 edits, you should be able to move pages, but the pages in question are apparently controversial and should be discussed, either on the talk page, or on the talk page through the RM process, which can be initiated by the instructions at WP:RM, which advertises the proposed move at WP:RM. If you need help I would be happy to assist. Apteva (talk) 21:46, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
