[edit]I think that the inclusion of Teething on the Crow soundtrack was a more official release than the Like Linus demo. I'm not even sure that the two tracks are the same recording (I haven't listened to all of Like Linus). The other thing is that you could still go out and buy the Crow City of Angels of soundtrack and get that track, whereas you'd be hard-pressed to get a copy of Like Linus. - Phorque (talk) 10:42, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hello,
You are a volunteered copyeditor listed at Wikipedia:Peer review/volunteers and I'd be glad if you could have a look at the article Vädersolstavlan I just nominated for peer reviewing. My shortcomings in English most likely makes copyediting both necessary and easy.

Heroes peer review
[edit]I noticed that your user name was on the Wikipedia:Peer review/volunteers list. I was wondering if you could take some time out of your schedule to head over to the Heroes (TV series) talkpage and give us an honest peer review. The page has gone through some major changes in the last few months, and it would be fantastic if a prominent editor/contributor like yourself, could head over and give us at the Heroes Wikiproject some sound opinion and ideas on improvements for the page. We have all worked very hard at improving the page, and we need great outside, reliable and trustworthy users to come over and help us improve. I you are interested in joining the peer review discussion with other prominent users/contributors, much like yourself, please follow the link. Thank you very much for your help and your continued effort to improve Wikipedia and its quality! Shady Records peer review
[edit]Hey Seegoon! I noticed that you're a volunteer of reviews that's interested in music. I was hoping you'd be able to review the Shady Records article. I've put it up for WP:PR and, upon following the steps, have thought that you would be ideal for this. Would be cool and highly appreciated if you could review it! Peer review page is here. -- Harish - 16:10, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Firstly, thanks for the peer review - I look forward to get working on it. I didn't know if I should comment here as I wasn't sure if you'd be looking back at the peer review (considering you are a review volunteer), but I just wanted to explain the dates that you saw in the discography. I noticed you called the format weird, though you didn't specifically say it should be removed so I assumed it was up for debate. Basically, the table haas been designed in a sortable manner, but unfortunately the typical date format (i.e. 6 February 2008) doesn't allow for this. The reason it's set the way it is is so that it allows for a person who wants the sort the table by artist names or album names to be able to arrange it back to release date order. It's been mentioned in the talk page, and the current format was considered suitable by me, with no one else saying otherwise. Seeing as you're the reviewer, what would you suggest to be appropriate? -- Harish - 23:35, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- Haha, I agree about the programming - review it! (if possible)... j/k. Thanks again. -- Harish - 19:05, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Peer review idea
[edit]Hi, I have made a proposal that no peer review request be archived without some response. To aid in this, there is a new list of PR requests at least one week old that have had no repsonses beyond a semi-automated peer review. This list is at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog.
There are just over 100 names on the PR volunteers page, so I figure if each of these volunteers reviewed just one or two PR requests without a response from the list each month, it would easily take care of the "no response" backlog (as there have been 2 or 3 such unanswered requests a day on average).
If you would be able to help out with a review or two a month from the "no responses" backlog list that would be great (and much appreciated). Please discuss questions, comments, or ideas at the PR talk page and thanks in advance for your help, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 23:59, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

CE request
[edit]Hi. Any chance you feel like being a picky bastard and copyediting Max Mosley? A FAC reviewer has requested that the article be copyedited, citing a tendency to overlong sentences as a problem. I've had a go myself, but it really needs a fresh pair of eyes. (Mosley himself is the son of the pre-WWII Fascist leader Oswald Mosley, a former barrister, racing driver, auto racing team owner and now the head of motorsport's world governing body, the FIA). Cheers. 4u1e (talk) 09:38, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- FAC nixed due partly to various copyedit concerns, but more to the recent 'Nazi sex orgy' allegations from the News of the World. Headline writer's dream, I should think. Anyway, it's probably not worth bothering now, since we're likely to see some instability for a while. Cheers. 4u1e (talk) 09:51, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Copy-editing Request
[edit]Hi there. I am writing for your assistance for the article NeXT. It is currently up at FAC, and has done very well so far, but one reviewer has noted the article needs a copy-edit from an editor not already involved. I am the main contributor, and would love to see this finally become a featured article (it's failed three times already). A list of the main issues which need addressing can be found at Wikipedia:Featured_article_candidates/NeXT. Please let me know if you can get around to copy-editing this within the week. Request for Peer Review help
[edit]Thank you for you work as a peer review volunteer. Since March, there has been a concerted effort to make sure all peer review requests get some response. Requests that have gone three days or longer without a substantial response are listed at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog. I have three requests to help this continue.
1) If you are asked to do a peer review, please ask the person who made the request to also do a review, preferably of a request that has not yet had feedback. This is fairly simple, but helps. For example when I review requests on the backlog list, I close with Hope this helps. If my comments are useful, please consider peer reviewing an article, especially one at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog (which is how I found this article). Yours, ...
2) While there are several people who help with the backlog, lately I have been doing up to 3 or 4 peer reviews a day and can not keep this up much longer. We need help. Since there are now well over 100 names on the PR volunteers page, if each volunteer reviewed just one PR request without a response from the list each month, it would easily take care of the "no response" backlog. To help spread out the load, I suggest those willing pick a day of the month and do a review that day (for example, my first edit was on the 8th, so I could pick the 8th). Please pick a peer review request with no responses yet, if possible off the backlog list. If you want, leave a note on my talk page as to which day you picked and I will remind you each month.
3) I have made some proposals to add some limits to peer review requests at Wikipedia_talk:Peer_review#Proposed_limits. The idea is to prevent any one user from overly burdening the process. These seem fairly reasonable (one PR request per editor per day, only four total PR requests per editor at a time, PR requests with cleanup banners can be delisted (like GAN quick fail), and wait two weeks to relist a PR request after it is archived), but have gotten no feedback in one week. If you have any thoughts on these, please weigh in.
Thanks again for your help and in advance for any assistance with the backlog. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 20:57, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Isis - In the Absence of Truth 2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Isis - In the Absence of Truth 2.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Anal help needed
[edit]Hello! I'm seeking a volunteer willing to peer review the discography of Eminem. I've been extensively working on this article from a while to try to reach a "featured list" by following what the guidelines are and also by adding interesting "components" from other featured discographies. I saw you on the list of volunteers ("I can be exceptionally anal if need be.") and would really wish you could help, especially since you are also a member of the WP:WikiProject Discographies. Thanks no matter what. Do U(knome)? yes...|or no 00:50, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- I was a little taken aback by "Anal help needed". If it was intentional, bravo, if not - then you might want to watch for asking too many strangers for that specific variety of assistance. Um, discography, yeah, cool. I shall have a looksee tomorrow at some point! Seegoon (talk) 00:54, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

- I've given it a thorough perusal, and have to say that it looks great. A major issue, however, is the formatting of the references. They don't seem to consistently use {{cite web}}, or any templates whatsoever, and the buffs at WP:FLC will definitely pick you up on that. Content-wise, however, it seems very thorough. I might ask for an extra column in the Music videos section listing the relevant album, but beyond that, I think you're good to go. Great job! Seegoon (talk) 16:43, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi there,
I am asking for a big favours of yours. I nominated the article Euro gold and silver commemorative coins (Austria) for featured list, but there were too many small grammar problems, so we decided to withdraw it, and do a peer review first. The list is complete and very well sourced. It also followed all he suggestions given in Euro gold and silver commemorative coins (Belgium) (recently promoted to featured list), so in general is in a very good shape. Only the description fields for the coins are in a need of a good copy/edit. Can you please help us to get this list promoted?

I thought it would help a lot if somebody had a look and suggested any improvement, since it has already been copyedited once by another editor and once byself. System of a Down discography cleanup
[edit]Hello, I was hoping you could help me clean up a few things on the System of a Down discography article to get it to featured article status. I'm not quite sure how to resolve these things, so I'm asking for help:
- The lead section. I'm clueless on how to make a perfect lead sections.
- The precise release dates for Sugar E.P. (by the way, should it be called Sugar E.P. or Sugar (EP)?) and Limited Edition Tour CD aren't known. Is this acceptable?
- There are four separate citations for SOAD's singles chartings on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Are four citations okay?
- The citations for the music video directors for "Spiders" (Charlie Deaux), "Boom!" (Michael Moore) and "Hypnotize" (Shavo Odadjian) are missing. I can find links where it does say this here, here and here, but I have no idea if any of them are reliable or not (mvdbase.com even mentions a video for a song called "Sit Down", but I can't even find a song named "Sit Down" on any of the albums, so I don't think it's true).
- I can't tell if "Vicinity of Obscenity" is actually a single. I don't think it is, as it didn't chart, there isn't an article about it, and the Hypnotize album doesn't mention it as a single.
If these things can be resolved, I think this could easily be a featured article. Thanks for your help, Xnux the Echidna 03:50, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, there is another thing(s): the music video director for "War" (demo) [which is a pretty suspicious title, if you ask me...] has its director listed as "Unknown"... yeah, how should I fix this? Xnux the Echidna 03:54, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
