[edit]Hi, I'm Irondome. Scribble scramble, thanks for creating 2015 IS Open de Tênis!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Hi there. I have carried out an initial review of 2015 Open de Tenis article. It could do with some references as it has none at present.

[edit]Please bold the winner, insert the correct score, and use the preview button to make sure you didn't make any mistakes. Look at 2016 Open Bogotá – Singles to see what I am talking about. Please edit correctly so nobody has to fix it later. Adamtt9 (talk) 17:28, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
Please don't create the yearly articles until the main draw is out. Also, copying and pasting is not recommended. You put the 2015 article and then saved it. You have to create the 2016 version. Adamtt9 (talk) 13:07, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry - pressed saved accidentally, now corrected. Don't see why should not be created before MD is out. Could be edited if there are minor changes after the draw Scribble scramble (talk) 13:13, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- I understand, but if you remember from earlier, some users would remove the links to the draw articles saying that they haven't been created yet. I always just wait until the singles and doubles are out so no red links show up, but as long as you have the correct information, you're fine. Adamtt9 (talk) 14:06, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- Sure, OK, no need to put in draw links (singles or doubles) but the yearly article could be created, see no reason not to. They do it in World Tour as well. Scribble scramble (talk) 14:28, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

And another thing, please don't create draw articles if the draw hasn't been released. There is no need for a blank article. Adamtt9 (talk) 14:08, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- I don't think I ever did that. You're hard to beat to that. :) Scribble scramble (talk) 14:28, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- You just did it. You saved the article and then inserted the players. All I'm saying is to put in the players before you save it the first time. And don't get me wrong, I appreciate the help. It's a lot to keep up with. Adamtt9 (talk) 14:32, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- You're in the wrong here, the draw was out after which I created the article, and then filled out the rest of the draw. You can check against the draw release time if there is a timestamp for that anywhere. Scribble scramble (talk) 14:35, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- No I know. But if you look at the article. The first time you saved it, the article had no players. I'm saying to create the article and insert the players all at once, not to put an empty draw with only the first two seeds. Adamtt9 (talk) 14:37, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- Not sure nitpicking like that is helpful. It was a matter of minutes until I added all the players. Scribble scramble (talk) 14:46, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- I'm just saying that's how it always works. Don't put an empty draw if you're going to fill it minutes later. That is completely unnecessary. Adamtt9 (talk) 14:47, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for your opinion, I'll ignore it at this point. Scribble scramble (talk) 14:53, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

Juan Ignacio Londero
[edit]I don't want it to seem like I have something against you, but this article can't be moved unless there is a source that shows his name is spelled Lóndero. Until then, we have to keep the article where it is. Adamtt9 (talk) 22:11, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
- Check the Spanish wikipedia for Lóndero as well as number of other people named Lóndero. Hugo Lóndero, as well as number of other googlable names and please revert the change. Scribble scramble (talk) 22:14, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
- You can't use other people and say that this is how we do it. And this is English Wikipedia, not Spanish. The most notable example I can give you is Novak Djokovic, whose Serbian spelling would be Đoković. However this is English, so it remains as Djokovic, because this is the way the media spells it. Adamtt9 (talk) 22:16, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
- Wow, you are comparing Djokovic do Lóndero? Djokovic is using name like he dose because he's a star and simplicity is preferred, while Lóndero barely qualifies for wikipedia article. It's better to compare Lóndero to Đere, if you like Serbs, or other numerous spanish and argentine players with accents in the names. And the name is Lóndero, the correct spelling. https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Ignacio_L%C3%B3ndero Please revert it. Scribble scramble (talk) 22:20, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
- No the point is that this is English Wikipedia. In a majority of sources for Djokovic, the spelling is found that way. The same applies if you look up Londero. His name is found without the accent, and it is the same on some Spanish articles as well. The notability doesn't matter, it is about the sources you can find. The whole point is to find sources, and until there are valid sources with the spelling of Lóndero, the article has to stay where it is. Adamtt9 (talk) 22:23, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

Adamtt9 (talk) 22:16, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
I'll give you this source for example. [1] The Spanish players are named with their corresponding accents, like Jarry and Almagro, but Londero doesn't have one. Adamtt9 (talk) 22:25, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
- So you dispute the name is actually Lóndero or you think its english version ought to be Londero? Youre getting mixed up in your argument. Point is: 1/ The right spelling is with the accent 2/ the player is not known enough so that his name is well established in english without the accent, 3/ in wikipedia we use accents for spanish names like they are originally. Move it back. Scribble scramble (talk) 22:35, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
- The English version has to remain as Londero until there is a source stating that it is actually Lóndero. It doesn't matter what his Spanish page says. Adamtt9 (talk) 22:37, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
- What ? OK let's ask Fernandocamba3. Londero or Lóndero ?

Challenger Articles
[edit]I see that you left a message on my talk page. I have a question concerning what you meant by retirements. What do you mean retirements, nobody retired. Also, I see that you put in Nicolas N'Godrela as a wildcard in New Caledonia. I just wanted to know where you got that information from. Adamtt9 (talk) 13:39, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- What I meant was early withdrawals. retired and Reuter has become a projected seed there in Bangkok, so that needed to be addressed if you wanted to. N'Godrela i took it off the tournament Facebook page. Scribble scramble (talk) 20:41, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
ITF Men's Circuit
[edit]I don't know if you are interested, but seeing that you edit many tennis-related things, the 2017 ITF Men's Circuit article hasn't been created yet? Nobody usually works on those tournaments, so if you would like to help, feel free. I don't have enough time now to do it, so I would appreciate the help. Only if you are interested though, definitely not a must. Thanks. Adamtt9 (talk) 22:40, 30 December 2016 (UTC)

WHB Hungarian Open
[edit]Just a couple of things I want to say. #1, please take more care when you create articles. It is a bit ridiculous that it took you 4 or 5 tries to do it correctly, but it is fixed now. #2, I can see that one of them is up for deletion. Since the Challenger Tour is not at the same level as the World Tour, they are less known and have a better chance at deletion. Wait to create the article until Friday instead of creating them early and having them sit there. At least on Friday, if someone wants to delete it, you can point to the qualifiers to show that the tournament has started. Adamtt9 (talk) 19:16, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
- lol yea it was a mess :)) Thing is that there will be no WHB for this year in the end and it has to be changed again. I guess it had better be created on Fri Scribble scramble (talk) 19:21, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
- No it will stay at WHB Hungarian Open. Thing I hate about challengers is that they are never clear on naming and it changes pretty much every year. But it is fixed now so you are OK. And a question for you, are you good at Russian or no? Adamtt9 (talk) 19:23, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
- I thought the rule was to stick to base name like "Hungarian Open" or whatever and add sponsor names on case by case bases like WHB in 2016. This was the reason of the confusion in the first place. 2 ys why. Scribble scramble (talk) 19:27, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
- I saw you editing some Russian Olympians and I was wondering that if you were good enough at Russian if you would like to start tennis articles on the Russian wiki? They have the World Tour but nothing on Challengers. Adamtt9 (talk) 19:30, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
- no sorry i have no Russian keyboard and it's a pain without it. Scribble scramble (talk) 19:32, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
- ok that is fine. I was just wondering if it was possible. Adamtt9 (talk) 19:33, 1 February 2017 (UTC)

And another thing. Make sure to not move any of those articles. There is a conversation going on about what to do and what to name the articles, so don't change anything. You can see the conversation at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2017 February 1#2017 Hungarian Challenger. Adamtt9 (talk) 01:25, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
- What a mess, now the tournament is 2 years old and has 3-4 names. Scribble scramble (talk) 05:56, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
- I know, but I told them that the proper name should be Hungarian Challenger Open, and I am hoping that they move it there and then delete the unnecessary pages. If not, wait until the discussion is complete and then we will move the pages back. Adamtt9 (talk) 11:59, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
- And by the way, I moved everything to Hungarian Challenger Open, so in case you are looking for your article again, you will find it at 2017 Hungarian Challenger Open. Adamtt9 (talk) 13:08, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
