Now that we have the boilerplate introduction out of the way, with respect to your article on John Taylor Gatto, could you add at least a one-sentence summary of this individual to make a stub? --Robert Merkel 01:43, 5 May 2004 (UTC)
Hey, thanks for starting the Saline Valley article! I'm preemptively moving it to Saline Valley, California, because there are a few other places with the same name. ~leif

Parks, Forests and stuff
When you are working on "protected areas" could you make sure to use the full taxobox. Someone will come along eventually and fill in any information you leave blank. It is more difficult to notice the blanks if you remove the lines from the box. Latitude and longitude can be found at USGS names server and you can quickly make up any location map necessary (the U.S. blank map is at Wikipedia:WikiProject Protected Areas). I could also make up the maps, if you ask me nicely ;) Rmhermen 17:28, Nov 10, 2004 (UTC)

Copyvios
Hey Scott. I noticed you marked Las Khorey as a copyvio, but didn't report it at Wikipedia:Copyright problems. I just thought I'd pass along a note in case you weren't aware of the page. Traditionally, after an article's been marked, we follow it up there with an "Article from . - ~~~~" Have fun. - Vague | Rant 06:11, Dec 7, 2004 (UTC)

Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

Library of Congress
This anonymous addition was taken from the Library of Congress website and is a work of the US government, so it's public domain and not a copyvio. However, it would not be well placed there, it should be in other place, maybe women's issues in Communist Romania or something. Bogdan | Talk 21:12, 25 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Congratulations
Congratulations! It's my pleasure to let you know that, consensus being reached, you are now an administrator. You should read the relevant policies and other pages linked to from the administrators' reading list before carrying out tasks like deletion, protection, banning users, and editing protected pages such as the Main Page. Most of what you do is easily reversible by other sysops, apart from page history merges and image deletion, so please be especially careful with those. You might find the new administrators' how-to guide helpful. Cheers! -- Cecropia | explains it all ® 10:06, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Vote on Image:Autofellatio 2.jpg
As you may or may not be aware, Image:Autofellatio 2.jpg is up for deletion. I'm never one to electioneer, and I deplore the necessity of contacting you, but Achilles has contacted all the "delete" voters from the previous autofellatio image debate; and since that has already been done, I didn't think fairness would be served if the "keep" voters were not also contacted. I have attempted to contact only those people who have not voted in the current debate, but the information was hard to sift through by hand and I may have made a mistake. If I have, I apologize. Cheers to you! Demi T/C 19:35, 2005 Apr 7 (UTC)

Accusation of addition of nonsense
You wrote on the discussion page for 129.93.191.57 (a static IP which I currently possess) that I contributed nonsense to Wikipedia (I believe this was in reference to the zombie page, on 1 November 2005). I can assure you that no nonsense was intentionally contributed - in fact, it looks like the nonsense was contained within the zombies in philosophy section of the page, which no longer exists. I was likely removing what looked like nonsense in the frame of reference of the article (which could potentially be marked as nonsense as a whole, given that zombies do not exist); I don't believe zombies like motocross :). Please be more careful when sending off messages of that nature. Stack 01:43, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- Haha...wow, I'm awesome. Never mind, then. :)
Conspiracy theory
you just deleted my article, and i ask under what rules, because i believe all given can be considered null and void. that was an actually theory of students of hazelwood central, and i believe that there are many theories in wikipedia, such as evolutionism, the big bang, gravity, et cetera, et cetera. i even had the courtesy to put a note that this was a mere theory, and has yet to be proven true or false.
-im srry about that, it was the work of my friends and i apologize for the inconviences and lucridities of the article(s) created.--Norton112200 13:33, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
You deleted this page whilst an AfD was in progress without indicating any grounds for a speedy. The page has since been restored: if you think it is speediable, could you explain why on the AfD, and if not, can you restore the edit history since it may be relevant to the AfD? --- Charles Stewart 16:17, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
- I got my chronology wrong: the page was fine as a CSD A3, and since the deletion predates the AfD there is no problem. As an aside, it makes things more trasnparent if you give edit summaries for speedies that make clear which criterion is being applied (ie. CSD A3 or db-nocontent in this case) --- Charles Stewart 20:00, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

Please consider going to Wikipedia:Categories_for_deletion#Category:Boy_Scouts_of_America_controversy_and_Category:Boy_Scouts_of_America_controversies_to_.28he_didn.27t_say_what.29 and voting on this (we want delete) and the "Contentious issues" listing right below it (we want keep). Deletion of Lunar Anime
I know I'm a bit late in asking, since this happenned on December 7 2005, but why did you delete Lunar Anime without providing a reason? Looking at your talk page, it seems that you are an avid copyvio hunter, and Lunar Anime could be called controversial in their respect for copyright, however:
- It is not Wikipedia policy to delete articles about websites that may possible violate copyrights, or even links to such websites. An article on The Pirate Bay exists, and even has a link to The Pirate Bay. If you did feel it should've been deleted on this basis though, you could've provided a proper deletion summary.
- The article itself was not a copyvio, and if it was originally, it was edited by several users therefore there was clearly interest to maintain the article and the users probably did not know that it was a copyvio, if it was. Again, proper deletion summary would help.
The only other possible reason for deletion that I can see is notability, although that's a very touchy topic which should definitely have been discussed long before deletion.
Finally, if the article had an AfD, you should've said that it was deleted according to an AfD concensus in the summary.
Please shed light on this mysterious deletion, as I'd really like to know where/why that article went.
Thanks in advance, Ynhockey (Talk) 03:34, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- I wasn't involved in this incident, but looking at the article, it was tagged with db before it was deleted. The content of the article certainly meets criterion A7, and it looks to me to be an appropriate deletion. Sometimes administrators don't copy the speedy deletion reason into the summary if it's obvious and already on the article. — Knowledge Seeker দ 04:21, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
