Kim Wilson (writer)
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Kim Wilson (writer), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Kim Wilson (writer). Jfire (talk) 21:30, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
RE: Aloysius Snuffleupagus and Fozzie Bear
[edit]i don't understand why that information can't be included. When the character of Snuffleupagus appeared on Robot Chicken he was voiced by Dan Milano and when the character of Fozzie was on Family Guy he was voiced by Michael Clarke Duncan. How is that any differnt from listing the other voice actors that have voiced the characters in other shows? âPreceding unsigned comment added by Newbie27 (talk âą contribs) 22:09, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- Because Snuffleupagus never appeared on Robot Chicken. The writers of that show parodied the character. It has nothing to do with Sesame Workshop's property other than make a joke about the source, lists of which have been decided as non-notable. âscarecroe (talk) 22:15, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- So? The fictional character of Snuffleupagus was voiced by Dan Milano in an appearance on Robot Chicken. The page is about the fictional character of Snuffleupagus. It might not be a canonical appearance of Snuffleupagus or on endorsed by the Sesame Street producers but it is a performance and appearance of that fictional character in a notable production. That's like saying Paul Giamatti (Fred Claus) or Tim Allen (The Santa Clause) didn't actually portray Santa Claus because their portrayals were parodies or tongue-in-cheek versions of that character and not sanctioned by original creator of Santa or something. âPreceding unsigned comment added by Newbie27 (talk âą contribs) 22:29, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not interested in discussing this on my talk page. Please feel free to open up the conversation on the article talk page. âscarecroe (talk) 23:53, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

SineBot Spam
[edit]A user attempting to maintain anonymity (myself), deleted the random message the above "bot" seems to attach to anonymous messages. You reverted that deletion. Is this an honest mistake, or do you have a problem with my choice to be anonymous? âPreceding unsigned comment added by 69.65.67.68 (talk) 04:16, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- You're no more or less anonymous with or without the signature there. Sorry for the confusion. âscarecroe (talk) 04:19, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is constantly evolving, not merely in its collection of literature, but also in the underlying software. I'm confident that a future update will clear up the mistake of publicly noting IP addresses with edits, and in preparation I'd like to curtail the activity of scripts in the spirit of SineBot. âPreceding unsigned comment added by 69.65.67.68 (talk) 04:23, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
You Have Rollback?
[edit]Hey, Scarecroe! Glad to be talking to you on the main Wikipedia. I was in the Special:Listusers page; I typed your name in and I saw that you have rollback. I didn't know that until now, when I last saw it. I also have the feature, in which I requested for it on 17 January, 2008. Well, the whole reason I'm posting this comment is because I haven't noticed that you had RB until today, when I saw it to the right of your username on the page. I use rollback to revert vandalism and leave warnings on the vandals' talk pages. How do you use rollback and when did you get it (or requested it)? SchfiftyThree 00:16, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Themyscira-floating.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Themyscira-floating.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:37, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:LesleyAnnWarren-LoisLane.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:LesleyAnnWarren-LoisLane.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

At the Movies
[edit]Glad to see you found a home for your screencap of At the Movies by creating At the Movies with Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert. Unfortunately, based on references I just added to the new article you created, the show's name never included the name of the hosts, screen capture contents notwithstanding. The show continued for four years with other hosts (as noted in the article). I've worked around the problem in a few places but would appreciate it if you were to rename it appropriately. Since there's an Australian show by the same name, it'll need a qualifier of some sort: if you follow existing conventions, options include At the Movies (U.S. TV series), At the Movies (1982 TV series), or At the Movies (Tribune TV series). Thanks. 67.100.127.183 (talk) 05:23, 23 July 2008 (UTC).
Other wikis
[edit]Please see Wikipedia:V#Self-published_sources. Anyone can create a website or pay to have a book published, and then claim to be an expert in a certain field. For that reason, self-published books, newsletters, personal websites, open wikis, blogs, forum postings, and similar sources are largely not acceptable. This is an open wiki and cannot be used as citation for anything. I could very easily login there and edit it to read anything I wanted. If the actual sources on that wiki meet the requirements laid out by WP:V and WP:RS here then source those directly.--Crossmr (talk) 06:48, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Again...
[edit]Please read WP:V and WP:RS before continuing to edit wikipedia. Self-published source, like those removed from the Muppet (slang) article are not usable for citation on wikipedia. If you want to restore or include the content that was removed please find and provide appropriate sources which meet the polices and guidelines laid out on wikipedia. In addition you should read Wikipedia:Rollback_feature#When_to_use_Rollback as it seems you are not clear on when you should be using such a tool as you clearly reintroduced text which violates wikipedia policy.--Crossmr (talk) 02:38, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Disambiguous Kim Wilson (disambiguation)
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Kim Wilson (disambiguation), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Kim Wilson (disambiguation) is a disambiguation page that only points to a single article, or no articles at all.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Kim Wilson (disambiguation), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:34, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:MelissaDuck.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:MelissaDuck.jpg. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Danielquinn-screenshot.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Danielquinn-screenshot.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the file is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. yabancım 14:08, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Themyscira-pronounce.ogg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Themyscira-pronounce.ogg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

Orphaned non-free media (File:Title.bigbigworld.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Title.bigbigworld.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Werieth (talk) 23:59, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
Pictures for Wilfred (Australian TV series)
[edit]Hi Scarecroe,
I have done some work on the Wikipedia page for the Australian Wilfred, and have been looking for a freely-licenced picture to use in the article, preferably showing all three main cast members. I noticed you uploaded some photographs to the Wilfred Wiki some time ago. I recognise most of them from promo shots, but some appear to be behind-the-scenes shots (like this set-piece from Dogs of War: http://wilfred.wikia.com/wiki/Dogs_of_War?file=AUepisode103.jpg). Are any of the images you uploaded freely licensed and could they be used in Wikipedia? Hope to hear from you soon, --Yeti Hunter (talk) 14:11, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
