Vandalism on my user talk page
Nice catch. Thanks. :) Guoguo12--Talk-- 23:12, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
- No problem. Guy seemed a little... confused. — Satori Son 23:41, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Social network users
You probably already saw this, but these accounts were blocked last week. It's obviously the same users. User:Ninjagirlies, User:4567 finger 45. Thanks. --CutOffTies (talk) 15:41, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, no, I missed that. Thanks. I'm blocking Ningagurls (contribs) as a obvious block-evading sock and will keep an eye on Ghafu Gige 67 (talk · contribs) and Turtleluver (talk · contribs). Thanks again. — Satori Son 19:46, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
- Both those two now blocked for creating nonsensical pages and continuing to use Wikipedia as a social network. — Satori Son 15:40, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Vandalism
Satiori Son,
The user Logan likes to revert edits that contain the {{cn}} tag and leave feedback on user pages. Not surprisingly though, he/she does not appreciate thoughtful feedback users leave in return. Please review the response which was left (that was immediately tagged vandalism), for which you banned the IP address that left the comment:
"Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, unfortunately some people prefer to remove whole paragraphs from articles if they disagree with citation sources, rather than updating the article with a {{cn}} tag. Is this not the purpose of the tag in the first place? A simple Google Search would have revealed the original edit to be factual. A constructive contribution would have been to add a better citation, and this is what we look for here at Wikipedia. Thank you."
Is one user making comments allowed, but another users comments are vandalism?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Phidjit (talk • contribs) 21:16, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
- Did you make the edits from 76.16.202.190 (contribs)? And what, exactly, is the point of this edit? (Phidjit's edit now only visible to admins.) — Satori Son 21:55, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
- No, and you didn't answer my question. A lot of users on Wikipedia are very fast to post advice on other peoples talk pages, and then shout vandalism when it happens to them. It sounds ridiculous, but when new users want to start contributing and immediately get their revision reverted and get a meaningless "Don't do this!" on their talk page it's easy to see why they give up. I've been contributing to Wikipedia myself for a long time, and I still don't understand it. If I see a citation I don't like, I'll remove it and replace it with the {{cn}} tag; that's what it's for, right? I won't clobber the entire paragraph, and then run to tell that user off via their talk page. It should be common sense. Thanks for replying. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phidjit (talk • contribs) 23:13, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
- I'll also add, if you look at (Logan's talk page) you'll see other users (User:Martinofox,User:79.216.210.48,User:71.227.252.119) who have had their edits reverted entirely, in some cases just because they didn't use a "red link". This isn't constructive, or helpful behavior. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phidjit (talk • contribs) 23:28, February 2, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks (No sarcasm)
Thank you for deleting my article, List of stores in Chinook Centre. Being only 10 years of age, it was my second ever article, and I wasn’t very confident in it.
Sincerely, MTG1989 (talk) 00:02, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
- No problem at all. Since you had blanked it, I figured that was what you wanted. If you have any questions at all, please just let me know. — Satori Son 01:00, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
how then do i
create a direct link from the expressed belief of the person whose page i am updating 'name is all capital letters' and the page on the redemption_movement, which is the conspiracy theory being cited? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beachsidetax (talk • contribs) 01:58, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
- There is already is a redirect at "Capital letters" argument that links to Tax protester conspiracy arguments#.22Capital letters.22 argument. Your phrase, Name in all capital letters, is simply not a likely search term for readers looking for the Redemption movement article. Please read Wikipedia:Redirect for more information on our guidelines on creating redirects. Thank you. — Satori Son 02:18, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Welcome back - Vandalism
SATORI, glad to (semi)have you back, all the best,
Please tell me what can you make of this (sent it to two admins, got ZERO words in reply):
PART 1: please do something about this "user" ("contributions" here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/95.92.2.82), he specializes in inflating (grossly!) stats in football players, namely connected with F.C. Porto. Last time i checked, that's vandalism...
I thought his IP-range was neverending, but found out some "good news", he has used this one in two separate days. Since i believe protecting all the pages he has edited in would be too strenuous (but he does seem to have a preference in "contributing" to Silvestre Varela, several anon IPs from him there), could you block this IP? I'll fill you in on any further developments.
PART 2: Another attempt (i report these punks, my conscience is clear after that, even though i known it's really easy for them to just open another account, rendering the work from the people who report them USELESS): please have a look at this "user", Joeyvolos, account is used ONLY for vandalism ("contributions" here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Joeyvolos). I am not going to talk with him because: 1 - i don't talk to vandals, i would only feed the troll, know from my past experiences; 2 - chances are he speaks no English, and my Greek is non-existent; 3 - he has already been warned, TWICE.
If these two diffs i provide are not clear evidence he is a lowlife vandal (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ethnikos_Olympiakos_Volos_F.C.&diff=412074732&oldid=411845248 and here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ethnikos_Olympiakos_Volos_F.C.&diff=409991826&oldid=409907034, several others are found at Ethnikos Olympiakos Volos F.C., he really must hate that football club), then i don't know what else can i do.
I have also reported the situations at WP:FOOTY, the football forum, receiving the same "amount" of words in return (incredible, very frustrating!). Kind regards, keep it up - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 05:33, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- For the 95.92.2.82 vandal, I've blocked that single IP, but could you give me a list of other IP addresses they have used? I'll see if a range block would be feasible. Otherwise, we have no choice but to semi-protect all of the articles that interest them.
- I've also indefinitely blocked Joeyvolos (talk · contribs · block log); clearly a vandalism-only account. In the future, you can report obvious cases like this to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism and should have much better luck there than at WP:FOOTY or most anywhere else. The AIV noticeboard is regularly patrolled by many admins, but it is only for cases of blatant vandalism (not edit warring or content disputes). — Satori Son 14:22, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Ah, almost forgot, retrieved this from your archives (in case you never noticed this message, then forgot all about it as you retired): User:Pararubbas, which by the way continues with the socks (more than 60 now!), left you an e-mail address, an also voiced his frustration (with what right?) on his "contributions" being deleted (please see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Satori_Son/Archive_11#Deleted_pages). Ah and yes, he also still does not engage in any conversations whatsoever (and zero summaries!). Cheers again - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 05:37, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks ever so much! Regarding your request on Silvestre Varela, found these other IPs: [1] and [2]. Whilst browsing, found this other "unrelated" vandal (dynamic IP), vandalism edits only in several days (please see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/72.230.75.220). Attentively - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 16:04, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Contributions
thank you for your advice, Ive taken other admins advice and passed on information to other editors contributors to get up important info.
i believe I have been tagged unfairly and dont wish to complicate these matters further.
very best!! Thank you again!!! Chicanoone (talk) 23:55, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Compromised account
Aparantly, while I was using the toilet in school, a classmate of mine used my account to use my account to vandalise, then used a fake signature to trick me into thinking that you were going to ban me and then vandalized your page. Now the problem is resolved and soz for the trouble.Ysjzysn (talk) 05:41, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Vandals, vandals, vandals...
Hi there SATORI, VASCO here,
i see that these lowlifes never rest ("no rest for the wicked" they say, in this case "wiki-ed"), i bring you another one, thank god this one has a standard IP...
A greek vandal has been doing nothing more than vandalism in his edits ("contributions" here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/178.59.110.226), either inflating stats on players (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Aitor_Ocio&diff=413116277&oldid=411422799), adding false match results (please see here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tilikratis_F.C.&diff=next&oldid=413105670) and inserting either gibberish filled with POV (here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Vieirinha&diff=413118654&oldid=412831558), defamatory content (please see here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tilikratis_F.C.&diff=413105670&oldid=389019918) and probably some insults towards some players he must really hate (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Vassilis_Spanoulis&diff=next&oldid=413126517, i bet that's swearing in Greek!)...I have already reverted some of his actions, but not all.
Getting really tiresome this rubbish but...no one said it would be easy :) Attentively, have a great weekend - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 01:01, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
- I left them a {{uw-vandalism4im}} warning (we have to warn them at least once before they can be blocked). — Satori Son 02:26, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
Vandalism
Hi there SATORI my friend,
please scroll up this page until you see my first message upon your return, called "WELCOME BACK - VANDALISM". The very first anon IP i mention there continues to be active, doing what? You guessed it...VANDALISM!! Inflating players' stats in their infoboxes (please see this diff http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ricardo_Quaresma&diff=413957733&oldid=413957551 - the other four previous diffs are also the same "user").
Protect pages or block user, as always i leave it in your capable hands, but these people have to leave WP alone and go annoy somebody else, my humble opinion, they have no business being here...
Attentively, happy week - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 18:19, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
- NEWS FLASH!! As seen here (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Henrik_Larsson&diff=prev&oldid=415029596), the same anon IP continues with his "work", vandalizing away... --Vasco Amaral (talk) 00:30, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
- I've blocked that IP for two weeks. Not really a good candidate for a range block at this point, so for now I'll continue blocking the individual IPs and semi-protecting the most vandalized articles. Thanks for keeping an eye on things. — Satori Son 14:10, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
Paraubbas sock
User:Pararubbas has another sock (what's the matter with this chap?! - see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Vbn09), i have reverted everything thus far. Attentively - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 03:55, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
- Blocked. Thanks. — Satori Son 14:01, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
Attention! Serious vandal(ism)!
Hi there SATORI (by the way thanks for your help in last issues), VASCO here,
as i wrote in the title of this message, this is one the most disgusting piece of garbage actions i have ever seen in WP, even for vandals standards...
After User:Bocafan76 warned a "user" for two vandalic actions, with the standard WP text, thus containing no offensive words, the idiot's reply was this: "vete a tomar x culo gilipoyas come sables ingles puto", in English "Go get fucked in the ass eat my dick Fucking Englishman"...what a piece of garbage this "person" is (see details here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:95.16.202.56)!!
This "user" has also been vandalizing (removing entire pieces of infobox) Nuno André Coelho's article several times. If you see its edit history (here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nuno_Andr%C3%A9_Coelho&action=history), you will find another two anon IPs from this "person" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/95.16.202.106 and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/95.16.203.161). Returning to Bocafan's warnings, they have almost one year, but the last vandalism in Coelho's article is only two days "old".
A good thing would be, in my opinion, to protect Coelho's article and/or put my talk/user page on your watchlist, 'cause this guy seems highly belligerant (not to mention idiot). As always, thank you for your great help, keep up the good work, in and out of the WP space! - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 19:58, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
- With another IP, he continues vandalizing Coelho's article. In this diff (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nuno_Andr%C3%A9_Coelho&diff=415931586&oldid=415877189), watch how he, not knowing to use "undo" manually reverted EVERY single one of my edits, adding the habitual infobox "destruction". As it has happened in the past, another "user" is starting to get on my case, personally, for what? For reporting their VANDALIC ways! - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 04:04, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Wikimania 2012 bid, DC chapter & next meetup!
- At WikiXDC in January, User:Harej proposed that DC submit a bid to host Wikimania 2012. A bid and organizing committee is being formed and seeks additional volunteers to help. Please look at our bid page and sign up if you want to help out. You can also signup for the bid team's email list.
- To support the Wikimania bid, more events like WikiXDC, and outreach activities like collaborations with the Smithsonian (ongoing) and National Archives, there also has been discussion of forming Wikimedia DC, as an official Wikimedia chapter. You can express interest and contribute to chapter discussions on the Wikimedia DC Meta-Wiki pages.
- To discuss all this and meet up with special guest, Dutch Wikipedian User:Kim Bruning, there will be a meetup, Wikipedia:Meetup/DC 16 this Tuesday at 7pm, at Capitol City Brewery, Metro Center. There will be a pre-meetup Wikimania team meeting at 6pm at the same location.
Apologies for the short notice for this meetup, but let's discuss when, where & what for DC Meetup #17. Also, if you haven't yet, please join wikimedia-dc mailing list to stay informed. Cheers, User:Aude (talk)

Help!
Hi there SATORI, VASCO here,
In Darko Lukanovic, a serious matter is afoot: an anon user is reverting everything i add, in spite of my messages. I, on the other hand, was incurring in some errors as well but, after discussion in the proper place (WP:FOOTY) have "desisted" in my actions. The Swedish anon user has not, he continues reverting!
Ty very much in advance, happy week - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 16:52, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
- Since this is primarily a content dispute, there is not much I can do. Sorry. I did leave them a {{uw-delete2}} message for this inappropriate edit, though. — Satori Son 17:17, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
- I see that Vianello has now blocked them for 31 hours. Good call. — Satori Son 14:45, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the help man! Now, i write the new stuff under the same title, because it's HELP indeed! User:Pararubbas, TWO new accounts (here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Tgbnhy09 and here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/25h08)! Can you "look me in the eye" and tell me there's nothing that can be done?
I have left him a message (in both accounts) which i now translate to you: "So User:Pararubbas? You have been told to STOP creating accounts and talk to people, when is this going to end, this lack of respect for others is starting to get tiresome! Also stop inserting the STUB symbol in articles which are no longer such, if you please. Attentively, X"
I don't think i have crossed any lines in etiquette, at least not as much as this "user" deserves. Please revert and block both. If he answers me (yeah right!) i will report you on any (negative or positive) feedback. Thanks again - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 00:40, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- Tagged and bagged, as always. These were some slightly older ones, so very nice catch on your part. Have a good one. — Satori Son
Thanks my friend, always in the line of fire :) What i would like to know is what is the possibility of a range-block or similar, this is getting tiresome - to you and me - he WON'T stop. To add insult to injury, my last ANI report and WP:FOOTY (the football forum) report produced ZERO feedback :(
Attentively - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 02:56, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- Not sure how effective a range block would be since he’s gotten fairly adept at using “sleeper” sock accounts, although I will email another admin friend of mine who has more experience with these issues.
- More than likely, though, we’re probably just going to have to keep reverting edits, blocking accounts, and protecting articles. I know that’s frustrating for guys in the trenches like yourself, but please be comforted by the fact that he is certainly not able to do as much damage as he used to do. Keep up the good work! — Satori Son 14:55, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
Vandal at large!
Hi there SATORI, VASCO here,
i don't know if this is the same chap from England that was on my case for more than one year after i reported his vandalic ways, or just another kid who does not enjoy being called what he is...a VANDAL!
Ironically, Silvestre Varela's page seems to be attracting vandalism like crazy, as it's in this article this "person" is operating: taking advantage of a word i wrote in article ("solid"), the "user" proceeded to write it all over the piece, clearly to mock me. After my (again exaggerated, but 100% accurate - i am sorry, i can't stop feeding the trolls, it's stronger than me) edit summary, he reverted me, and more is to be expected after the "person" finds i: 1 - re-reverted him; 2 - have come to tell daddy to help me (the "daddy" being you my friend)...pityful!
Maybe it's a case of "too little too late", especially knowing how these people operate, but i have already sent an apology for my summary to the anon IP's talk page. Attentively, have a great week - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 20:45, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- Looks like they didn't revert, so your edit took care of it. If things start getting out of hand, please let me know. — Satori Son
Why remove?
Hey. What was the reasoning for removing Cascade Server from the list of proprietary Java-based content management systems? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Charlieholder (talk • contribs) 02:34, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not sure, but I'm happy to look into it. When did it happen? What did the edit summary say? — Satori Son 15:01, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
Hey. Just now getting back to this. Sorry for the delay. I found the revision where it was deleted (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_content_management_systems&oldid=409173225) and the diff (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_content_management_systems&diff=next&oldid=409123495). The notes for it say "(→Java: remove link to deleted article - NuContent)" so I was think maybe it was an accident? I just didn't want to keep adding it back for you to remove it again. Wanted to figure out what was wrong with the entry so I could possibly do something to have it stay listed. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Charlieholder (talk • contribs) 17:30, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
That useless dicussion
Thanks for stepping in. You were the unknown admin I've always been talking about: stepping in just before things got too robust for someone to get offended. Just before I'm the only one talking about administrators misbehaving, don't you know that I'm in awe of you guys? Why the hell else would I bother trying to criticize? No, I'm never gonna seek admin rights. Regards — Peter S Strempel | Talk 18:14, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- What a shame. — Satori Son 19:34, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
Page move
Hi there SATORI, VASCO here, hope all's fine by you,
I have also brought up the discussion at the proper place (WP:FOOTY) but, since this is a move than can only be made by administrators (there surely must be some in the football editing community, just don't know any), i "beg of thee":
could you please move the page of Lito (footballer born 1969) to its previous form, or at least something containing "Vidigal" ("Lito Vidigal" would be fine, even though "Lito" is only a nickname)? I explain: as you can see in the storyline of article, this person is one of five brothers, all footballers. It strikes as a bit strange that ALL have their surnames in their articles except this one. User:Roslagen, contrary to WP guidelines, keeps moving pages without one word in summary, this was just one more.
Attentively, ty very much in advance, have a great weekend - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 03:36, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- Done, if for no other reason than if a move is at all controversial, it should not have been peformed by Roslagen without prior discussion. — Satori Son 19:49, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

Block
Hi there SATORI, VASCO here,
my anon IP (please see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/217.129.65.5) has been blocked for 24 hours, due to disrputive summaries (see here). It is highly deserved, my bipolar disorder really does not let me do any better. Attentively - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 02:23, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- Keeping coherence in his actions, upon receiving one message from me, User:Gfoley4 also blocked my account. The suspension is over, have messaged all of the people involved in my "situation": Foley, User:Chzz and User:Uploadvirus.
- Here's looking at you, my friend, sorry for any inconvenience - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 03:36, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
- From what I can see, it looks like you handled yourself fairly well post-block. It’s important to look at things from the blocking admin’s point of view, who is only trying to maintain order here. You accepted the rationale for your block as being justified and stayed calm.
- I understand it is difficult for you to not get angry with certain people, both because of your medical condition and the annoying nature of the edit warring and vandalism on their part. Letting loose in an edit summary might seem like a good way to let off some steam, but please do your best to remain civil. You’ve done a lot of great work around here, and I definitely do not want you to get an undeserved reputation as a troublemaker. Good luck. — Satori Son 16:50, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
Caroline Lazar article deprodded
I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Caroline Lazar, which you proposed for deletion. I am leaving this message here to notify you about it. I removed the tag because the article's author appears not to have been informed due to an error where the notification template was accidentally left on the article page instead. If I had noticed this earlier I would simply have moved the notice to the article creator's talk page, but since the PROD was already a week old I didn't want to send a notification for an article which might disappear minutes or even seconds later! If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to it. Instead, feel free to list the article at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! Vandalism galore
Hi there my friend, VASCO here, hope all's fine by you,
please protect Sergio Busquets page, if only for a week, vandalism afloat on his page, bitter Real Madrid "fans" with nothing better to do...Even though FC Barcelona won, you could also have a look at Pepe (footballer born 1983), i think it's going down the same road...
Attentively, ty very much in advance, from Portugal --Vasco Amaral (talk) 14:38, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
P.S. My finger hurts from clicking "undo"... - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 14:45, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Vasco. I've semi-protected Sergio Busquets for one month and will try to keep an eye on the other. Thanks. — Satori Son 16:15, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
- As you can see my friend, vandalism persists in Pepe's page. Please stop the vandals in their tracks! - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 17:32, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
Dreek page
Bangaroo (talk) 15:11, 2 May 2011 (UTC)i'm creating my band page. My band name is Dreek and we are from bangladesh. we are the member of "Bangladesh Bands Musical Association", and we are quite famous in Bangladesh.Bangaroo (talk) 15:11, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
- That may be true, but there’s no way for us to know that unless you can provide links to coverage of Dreek in multiple, reliable published sources. For more information, please read WP:BAND. Thanks and good luck. — Satori Son 15:30, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Hi there SATORI, VASCO here (hopefully more luck with this request than with the last one),
the vandal does not stop (stupidly i thought he would!!), here's another account (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Port9307890). Please revert/block/delete new articles, and check for sleepers if possible (or tell me how to do it, i forgot :(). If you notice for instance in C.D. Nacional, there is a HUGE array of anon IPs from this "person" (the 92etc "contributing" from England).
Attentively, thank you very much in advance - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 01:36, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- Blocked the new account and cleaned up what I could see. To check for sleepers, you would simply need to file an updated request at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Pararubbas. I'll support if you decide to do so.
- Otherwise, let me know if you need any other assistance with this guy. Always happy to help. — Satori Son 21:30, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
Did it here, hopefully in the right place (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Pararubbas). Please add input, compose my briefing and/or relocate it if need be. Attentively, keep it up! - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 00:54, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
Here's another IP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/92.2.205.18), an old one but it illustrates, it's an hopeless fight, he will do as he damn well pleases! --Vasco Amaral (talk) 15:34, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
- Looks like they already finished (I really like those guys over at SPI; always quick and professional). They didn't find anything this time, but always a good idea to check.
- I went ahead and tagged the old IP just for the record. Thanks again and have a good weekend! — Satori Son 16:15, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
image link deletion
Hi, You have just deleted link to the image in the article "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelacope". What is the reason? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lilitik22 (talk • contribs) 18:04, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hello Lilitik22. That image was removed under our speedy deletion criteria section G12 as an unambiguous copyright infringement. Specifically, the flikr source page for that image clearly states, "(c) All Rights Reserved", so it may not be used on Wikipedia. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Copyrights#Guidelines for images and other media files and WP:Non-free content#Images. Thank you. — Satori Son 18:15, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- I see you've now updated the licensing to the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 license. Looks good. Thanks. — Satori Son 05:05, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
$100 Hamburger
Dear Sir,
In 1993 I coined and copyrighted the term "$100 Hamburger" when I established the $100 Hamburger www.100dollarhamburger.com website. It later became the title of a book I wrote which was published by McGraw-Hill in 1998. The book is now in its 3rd edition. From time to time my copyright is infringed by those who wish to use the term $100 Hamburger and give no credit to me, my website or my books. Whenever this happens I attempt to solve the problem without litigation as I am in this case by simply correcting the errant material. I trust that you were unaware of these facts when you involved yourself and that you will NOT again remove my corrections to The $100 Hamburger listing on Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.119.100.101 (talk) 20:11, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Request
Hi there SATORI, VASCO here,
see that you have been quite busy these days, keep it up. Could you please protect Sergio Ramos' page for a few weeks, like Sergio Busquets? Less serious vandalism, but vandalism nonetheless (removals from box, a familiar Norwegian "user"; insertion of flagicons which is contrary to WP guidelines, toying with the player's height, etc).
My summaries show that i am about to lose it (which is harmful to me, but i can't deal with it man, trying my best), these people don't care. Of course, if you don't protect it, i will understand, WP is not my personal website, we have to think about the "big overall picture".
Thank you for your kindness and time, cheers - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 00:59, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- It's a close call, but seems like it could be a decent candidate for protection. Went ahead and semi'd it for 10 days.
- As far as you trying to keep your cool, I know the association football articles attract quite a bit of vandalism and edit warring. But here are some essays I think you should read: Wikipedia:Deny recognition and Wikipedia:Do not insult the vandals. And if you don't mind some "colorful" language, see WP:DGAF. These essays have really helped me deal with vandals and trolls over the years without getting too worked up over things. Good luck. — Satori Son 13:02, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- Entertaining reading man! Indeed, it seems i have "keeping my nose stuffed" for a longtime since...Thanks again! - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 13:31, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Hi there SATORI, VASCO here,
of course this has got to be a personal attack on me! After the protection was lifted in the aforementioned article, the Spanish "user" has returned, vandalizing the infobox. This player is quite obscure, so the vandalism is not due to some achievement/bad headline on the player's part, the vandal is out to "get me"! Please don't ask me to stay cool on this occasion, it's humanly impossible, i'm a simple man, not Gandhi.
If you see fit to block me for a few days, do so, i won't even complain, but please protect page and deal with the several IP addresses i found in the article's edit history (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/95.16.202.106, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/95.16.203.161, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/95.16.202.56, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/95.16.203.23, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/95.16.202.18 and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/213.4.215.229 - all hailing from Spain and ALL but ONE from Madrid (hey a vandal has to travel too!), it has to be the same "person"). The edit history will also show you i did/say NOTHING after the first vandalic action, but he kept pushing me.
Keep up the good work, attentively - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 20:18, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
- Semi-protected for three months this time. Remember, in the vast scheme of things, this is not that big of a deal. Don't worrry. Be happy. — Satori Son 20:34, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
Fair use question
Greetings. I notice you recently removed this picture from the Nigger article, stating in your edit summary that the image "does not have a proper fair use rationale for this article". I'm afraid I don't uderstand the reason(s) for this decision, since I had thought the fair use rationale I provided would be sufficient. Could you please explain why you disagree? Thanks. Contains Mild Peril (talk) 09:54, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Please see WP:NFC#UULP. A copyrighted image which contains a word cannot simply be used in an article on that word. For example, the image File:ACDC Back in Black.png can only be used in the Back in Black article about that specific album. It cannot be used in the article on the color black. For that matter, it cannot even be used in the AC/DC or AC/DC discography articles. Wikipedia's fair use requirements are very strict and specific.
- The image you are attempting to use would be allowed in an article about that specific sweater or type of wool, or maybe an article on the Vogue Knitting company, but that's it. — Satori Son 14:29, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. The guidelines to which you linked don't specifically refer to this situation. Obviously not every possible scenario can be anticipated when policies are written (or for that matter when laws are written), and since this is an unusual case, I hope you don't my soliciting further opinions. It's not as simple as using a copyright image to illustrate a particular colour: the issue is the historical language usage which, as I mentioned in my rationale, could not be conveyed using a modern image. I actually think a stronger case could be made for using the image in that particular article than in a hypothetical article on the wool or the publication, since it is the advertisement itself which is the subject of commentary. Btw I notice you changed the heading of this section. I'm sorry if I caused any offence by posting that sort of language so prominently on your talk page. Contains Mild Peril (talk) 00:52, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for letting me know. I see that other editors agreed with me, and you have decided to wait until the copyright expires on that advertisement. Have a good one. — Satori Son 13:37, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

Correction
Sartori The term $100 Hamburger is copyrighted and belongs exclusively to me. I have a right to say so. My saying so is merely to gove credit where it is due and to properly identify the terms origin and points of use. To properly define the term I must be given credit for its creation as must my book and website. If you will allow me to stretch a bit is like giving Darwin credit for his work on the evolutionary theory by giving him credit for the thought and his work "The Origin of the Species". The term $100 Hamburger was first used by me on my website and in my book. Wikipedia readers have a right to know that. You and I have an obligation to tell them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jpurner (talk • contribs) 21:00, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- First of all, your discussion of "rights" and "obligations" is misplaced. Perhaps you are confusing this project with a government agency, but the English Wikipedia is a private, non-profit organization run primarily by volunteers. Thus, those concepts are not particularly relevant, if at all.
- Second, if you can provide me with a reliable source that associates the term $100 Hamburger with your name, I will be more than happy to place that information in the article. I did conduct some research earlier and was unable to find such confirmation, but hopefully you know of relevant info that I failed to locate. Thanks. — Satori Son 13:43, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- I see now that you have already placed the info back into the article. I will give you a short time to find a reliable source, but if you cannot, that unverified info will be removed again. And I will tell you one more time to read our Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guidelines. — Satori Son 13:54, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
Request - Appreciation
Hi there SATORI, VASCO here,
again, thanks a million for your understanding of my (at times) manners, not complying with the WP "guideline book". Again, i repeat that if/when i am blocked/warned again, i will not complain one nanosecond :)
Could you please move Manu (footballer born 1979)'s page to Manu Sánchez? The player, unlike some, is not known only as Manu, but User:Roslagen could not care less, again (again!) he moved the page without any word in summary. I admit i have moved some pages in the past without discussion, but at least i wrote an explicatory summary.
Kind regards, happy week - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 14:40, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- Done. Roslagen should definitely be discussing these moves beforehand if they are at all likely to be controversial. — Satori Son 14:50, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
User:Pararubbas - Revamped?
Hi there SATORI, VASCO here, hope all's fine by you
Please have a look at this user (contributions here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Jimhellie09). Just because of the "number in name" thing and some of the edits he made (not ALL), this looks like a new version of Pararubbas, one that now even arranges REFS and everything (good boy). He still engages (if it is him) in: 1 - sentences all glued in storyline, in an imbecile style of "writing" if i ever saw one; 2 - replacing the link of player position (i.e. Defender (association football)#Full back with "Defender", without link); 3 - ZERO summaries. All this in (again) only Portuguese football.
Have already sent him two messages. Is there a way to find out whether this person edits from England? If there is and it turns out to be so, pretty sure it's him. Regards - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 14:45, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- Has returned to active, did not respond to messages, as expected. More to my case: he created the "storyline" to Leonardo Jardim from scratch (i have now improved on it), it has PARARUBBAS written all over it - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 22:20, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- Still regarding his edit M.O., keep getting more and more certainties it's him. He has responded (99% sure it's Pararubbas, but not 100% though) in his own talkpage and, after my reply, i have to be prepared to be insulted or the sort if i turn out to be correct. Please have a look at this, it's serious. - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 20:16, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
- Looks like HelloAnnoying already took care of it. Sorry for the delay. — Satori Son 18:00, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- No problem mate! No problem? Lots of problems, Pararubbas has another (another!!) account (please see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Alexgreene87). It will drive me crazy, but this person will leave WP before me, believe me. --Vasco Amaral (talk) 15:47, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
- Newsflash! He has replied and has confessed he is Pararubbas, and apologized (three years later!!) for his manners. For what's worth, i will stop being on his case if i don't see anymore wrongdoings, maybe the suspension could be lifted, cheers! --Vasco Amaral (talk) 21:02, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the update. I've left him some instruction on how to request an unblock of his primary account. — Satori Son 21:35, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
TenPoundHammer
You're absolutely right -- that was unreasonable. Thank you for changing it. -TPIRFanSteve (talk) 19:08, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
- No problem at all. Best of luck in sorting that stuff out. — Satori Son 19:39, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
Re: AN/I report
Hi, thanks for your comment on AN/I... I've started a SPI report for the same user. My initial intention was to significantly pare down both articles (Claudio César Dias Baptista and Géa), as their encyclopaedic significance isn't that great, but I'm not going to touch those articles if it just means this user will fly off the handle and start vandalising random stuff. Funny, in all my time on WP this is the first time I see a user holding an article hostage due to their ease of switching IPs in such a wide range. XXX antiuser eh? 00:35, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
- I really think we should implement some range blocks, but I'm leaving for vacation today and won't be much help, unfortunately. I'll check on things when I get back. Best of luck. — Satori Son 14:56, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
User:Pararubbas unblock
Hi there SATORI, VASCO here,
regarding this (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Alexgreene87), i see no movement whatsoever in the "Appealing a block" page from him, even though i have left him thorough instructions on how to proceed, lest he felt "lost".
Is he on the verge of showing a new account(s)? Quite possibly - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 16:43, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
- If they are serious about finally wanting to play by the rules and productively contribute, they should ask for, and might even get, an unblock. It would, however, probably be a conditional one, meaning that they would be closely monitored by one or more admins or experienced users. Kind of a “wiki-probation”.
- Anyway, please keep me posted if you see any movement on that front. Thanks again. — Satori Son 00:25, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
He says he has written there, and he has, albeit confusingly. I think we could do that, unblock BUT monitor closely...Now, a "Vascoquest": could you change the page of Randy Iyanga back to Iban Iyanga, as it should? Like User:Roslagen, User:Kolins also moves pages without one word in summary. In this case, it's like as if Barack Obama was nicknamed "Cool", and his page was named "COOL OBAMA", it's a name/nickname compound, thus wrong.
Cheers, happy weekend - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 17:14, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
- Done. As always, if a move is even remotely controversial, it should be discussed first. — Satori Son 17:19, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the page move :) About Pararubbas, he has asked me which account is going to be unblocked. He adds he does not remember the original account's details, hence it would be advisable to unblock the latest, if possible. If possible, and if the board finally decides to unblock (three years playing us for fools, hard to assume 100% good faith there) - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 21:04, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
- Since i discussed this issue with you here also, i guess this could go under "PARARUBBAS" even though it's not about him: another (another!) user, now User:Unreal7, moving pages without any words whatsoever, and doing it wrong (of course it he did it right, the guidelines would not be followed, but at least it would be an improvement). Saying: could you please reinstate Nuno Capucho back to Capucho (footballer)? Again, name/nickname compound.
Attentively - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 00:54, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Help!!
Hi there SATORI SON, VASCO here,
could you please protect José Carlos Fernández Vázquez's page? Terrible terrible situation...have talked to an anon IP (dynamic to make it worse) and User:Demis21, both give me no rest and give me ZERO in word feedback. Have also started, per WP guidelines, to discuss the changes in the article's talkpage.
By the way, is there any possibility to find out if the anon IPs found in the article (i count SEVEN (!!), starting with #86) and Demis21 are the same person? That would clear things a lot for sure! If you like more details, please see this message i sent User:Thumperward (here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Thumperward#Jos.C3.A9_Carlos_Fern.C3.A1ndez_V.C3.A1zquez_-_Help.21.21.21), unfortunately, he could not be of assistance.

Hi there SATORI, VASCO here,
considering the amount of warnings this Greek IP has received (please see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:85.72.130.30), is it possible to have it blocked?
Thanks in advance, keep it up - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 17:31, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hello, Vasco. Normally, yes, a block would be in order. But since there hasn't been any editing from that IP in 9 days, it's a little bit stale. And since all the editing from that account took place over a short, 4-day period, it's possibly a dynamic IP and that user has already moved on.
- But definitely let me know if it flares up again (or if I'm not around, pop over to WP:AIV). Thanks. — Satori Son 18:51, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
I understand
I understand your view on Christopher Lynn, but i keep getting my articles nominated, for example, admins earlier today said the christopher lynn page was ok after Noq had put it up for speedy deletion, Noq also nominated my pages Abbey Centre and Connswater for deletion. Abbey centre was deleted but connswater was re-created on permission from a admin and yet again noq tried to delete it however another admin made it into a user page for me to keep for a while. EastBelfastBoy (talk) 17:04, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
- I’m very sorry that you feel you are being hounded by Noq. My only interest in this article is to enforce our standards of WP:V and WP:RS. Unfortunately, two brand new user accounts have begun edit warring alongside you on that article, and clearly in contradiction of those two policies.
- If those two new accounts are not you, then I will be more than happy to help you learn our guidelines on notability and verifiability. As soon as the results are back from Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/EastBelfastBoy, we can talk further. Thank you. — Satori Son 17:11, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
