Please do not write an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.

Wikipedia is not a place to post your CV

[edit]

There are many sites like Facebook, LinkedIn and Myspace where you can write about yourself or advertise your services, but Wikipedia is different. It is a project to build an encyclopedia, so advertising or promotion of any kind are not allowed, even in user or talk pages, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at WP:Autobiography.

Your user page at User:Satnam Deepak Banga is not a homepage: Wikipedia is not a blog, webspace provider, or social networking site. User pages are intended for the volunteers, who are here to build the encyclopedia, to say something about themselves, if they choose, to assist communication within the project. They are not for "substantial content... that is unrelated to Wikipedia" like detailed CVs, and material like that will be deleted. Please see Wikipedia:Introduction and Wikipedia:User page for more information. JohnCD (talk) 17:10, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you continue to post your CV on Wikipedia you can be blocked from edting. jfd34 (talk) 02:14, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Satnam Deepak Banga requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. -- Alan Liefting (talk - contribs) 06:49, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
