Request reason:

Dear HJ Mitchell, I’m writing to appeal the indefinite block on my account due to concerns about advertising. My intention was never to violate Wikipedia’s guidelines, and I apologize if any of my edits appeared promotional. However, it’s unclear which specific edits caused the issue. Any clarification on where I may have gone wrong would help me avoid similar mistakes in the future. I kindly request that my account be unblocked and would appreciate any guidance on improving my contributions in line with Wikipedia’s policies. Sasa GoodtoGREAT (talk) 08:16, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I think you should commit to editing about topics that you are less passionate about, at least for a time. This will allow you to better learn what we are looking for. If that's okay with you, make a new request. 331dot (talk) 21:32, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You addressed this to the blocking admin, but unblock requests are to ask for a third party to review the block. If you would like to negotiate with the blocking admin, you don't need to make an unblock request. Would you like me or another admin to review this? 331dot (talk) 19:29, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes could you please review this 331dot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sasa_GoodtoGREAT (talkcontribs)

Okay. You wrote "Most modern tablets today feature the most advanced display technologies in the world"; that's an opinion and promotional without a citation. The source you provided with that entire edit doesn't make that claim. Your edit to Apple Watch claims it is the most popular watch, but the source you provided doesn't say that. It does say 19% of smart watch shipments were Apple Watches in Q2 of 2024, but nothing about being the most popular. You're posting sources and drawing conclusions from them- that is original research. You need to be strictly summarizing what sources state about the topic. What you are writing also talks up the subject and doesn't use a neutral point of view. 331dot (talk) 07:47, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you again for your feedback. I’m still a new editor, and I appreciate you taking the time to point out these issues. I’ll definitely learn from this and ensure that I’m strictly summarizing sources in the future without drawing unsupported conclusions or using promotional language. Your input will help me improve, and I’ll make the necessary revisions to stick to a more neutral point of view.
If possible, could you please unblock the account? I’d like the opportunity to continue editing on wikipedia Sasa GoodtoGREAT (talk) 09:46, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have a particular connection to the subjects of your edits? 331dot (talk) 09:51, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please answer this, Sasa GoodtoGREAT? Elli (talk | contribs) 19:58, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I chose these pages because I have a personal interest in these topics. I believe having a genuine connection allows me to explain things more effectively and bring clarity to the material. Sasa GoodtoGREAT (talk) 10:18, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That does make sense, but it's important to keep in mind that having a connection to a topic can potentially bias you, and maintaining neutrality is extremely important. I get the impression that you're passionate about technology, but that makes it especially imporant to ensure that your edits aren't from a fan's point of view here. Does this make sense? Elli (talk | contribs) 21:20, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. As I mentioned earlier, I am just beginning my journey into Wikipedia editing and am actively learning the importance of neutrality. Moving forward, I am committed to contributing to topics where I can maintain objectivity and neutrality. I look forward to continuing my involvement in this community if you could look in to this request again.. Sasa GoodtoGREAT (talk) 07:45, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My review puts an end to my formal involvement in this matter; you may make a new request for someone else to review. 331dot (talk) 07:51, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

October 2024 unblock request

[edit]
Dear reviewing administrators,
I’m writing to request a review of my indefinite block. I understand that my previous edits were flagged for promotional tone and unsupported conclusions, and I apologize for any confusion or issues this may have caused. I now fully recognize the importance of neutrality and summarizing sources accurately, without adding personal interpretation or promotional language.
As suggested by 331dot, I’m willing to focus on topics that I am less passionate about for a time to better understand Wikipedia’s content expectations. I am committed to adhering to Wikipedia’s guidelines moving forward and will prioritize making neutral, verifiable contributions that align with the standards of the community.
I kindly ask for the opportunity to demonstrate this improvement and would be grateful if my account could be unblocked. Your guidance and consideration are greatly appreciated. Sasa GoodtoGREAT (talk) 06:48, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. However, please do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, wikis, personal websites, and websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight. These sources may express views that are widely acknowledged as pushing a particular point-of-view, sometimes even extremist, being promotional in nature, or relying heavily on rumors and personal opinions. One of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. If you require further assistance, please look at Help:Menu/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 12:41, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Sasa GoodtoGREAT! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at University_of_Southern_California that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. There are also five other edits (out of 16 total other edits) that have inappropriately been tagged as minor edits. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 21:46, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
