- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}
Japan (2023 film) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Japan (2023 film), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs to include citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. The article Japan (2023 film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NFF. Not yet released, no indication that production was notable. DRAFT or delete until release.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. DonaldD23 talk to me 21:37, 16 November 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at A History of Violence, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. General Ization Talk 19:56, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- I added the referrence.

- No. Your own source states, "Leo is not a remake of any other film, but it is rumoured to be inspired by the Hollywood film A History of Violence (2005), directed by David Cronenberg. The film starred Viggo Mortensen as a restaurant owner who has a hidden identity as a former mobster." Inspiration is not the same thing as a "remake," and we do not publish rumors here. Hence that source does not support your edit. General Ization Talk 20:01, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- Its remake rights novel and movie are bought by the https://7screenstudio.com/ production company last year. https://tracktollywood.com/an-actor-in-leo-confirms-the-film-is-inspired-by-the-hollywood-movie-a-history-of-violence/ . SarkarVijay (talk) 20:07, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- The only RS I see provided is Times of India, and that source only notes that internet users have noticed similarities between the two films. The quotes provided by TrackTollywood don't have any other hits online (i.e., there doesn't seem to be any confirmation from a more reliable source), and I don't see anything to indicate that's a particularly reliable source.
