A kitten for you!
Just a quick thanks. On my own wiki, I've got spammers out the ears. :) It's nice to have someone watching things. I not only edit here, I read and use the wiki. Having something spam free takes a great deal of effort and I'd like to applaud you for yours. RD.

NNT Wiki Page
Hi Sarah - Can you contact me about our page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Net_Technologies_Ltd? Just have a couple more queries - Thanks! Michael thomas 89 (talk) 12:19, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Michael, let me know what the problem is and I'll try my best to help. Sarahj2107 (talk) 12:32, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Stupid question, but you did help edit the page for our company? If you don't know anything about it then you have answered my first question! New Net Technologies? Michael thomas 89 (talk) 12:45, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- No I don't think I ever edited the page and I wasn't involved in its deletion. You could contact Tokyogirl79 how deleted one version of it or Guerillero who deleted another version, they might be able to answer any questions better than I can. Sarahj2107 (talk) 13:35, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Thanks Sarah - We are concerned because someone purporting to be you has approached us asking for payment for editing and approving our company page - in fact, the page was published then deleted, and now we are being asked for payment to re-instate. We are suspicious that this person or organisation is not you (I think you just confirmed that:-)). Happy to forward the correspondence to you if it helps? Michael thomas 89 (talk) 14:16, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- It is absolutely not me. Please could you forward the correspondence (either post it here or email it to me) so I can look into this further. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Sarahj2107 (talk) 14:31, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
I was afraid you might say that - how do I forward the email to you? And as a side issue, how do I legitimately move forward our company page? Michael thomas 89 (talk) 14:34, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- click here to email me. I had a quick look at the draft article in your sandbox and it doesn't look to overly promotional which is good. I am a bit concered about the lack of independent, reliable sources which prove notability though. They is also clearly a conflict of interest if you work for the company. Wikipedia doesn't really like companies to publish their own articles. For now I suggest you read some of the relevant policy and guidelines, especially the two linked above. I will have a closer look at it tomorrow when I have more time and hopefully I can give you some more specific advice. Sarahj2107 (talk) 14:46, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

Outstanding merger proposal for Holy Cross College, Dhaka
Hi Sarah,
Going on three years ago you proposed this merge. Your reasoning at the time made a lot of sense. So far the proposal has garnered equal measures of support and opposition, but has not been discussed much. I could go either way.
- The two institutions are run by the same congregation out of the same compound. At least one source calls Holy Cross a "High School and College".
- More often, however, sources describe Holy Cross as two separate institutions: Holy Cross Girls' High School and Holy Cross College. Also the Bangladesh Ministry of Education treats them, not as a "high school and college", which is one of the MoEd's categories, but as two entities: a secondary school and an intermediate college.
I believe the two articles have grown apart enough over the past few years that your rationale for proposing the merger may no longer apply. The articles are still stubs, but could stand on their own per WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES.
When you have a chance, would you take another look at the matter? If you still feel strongly that they should be merged, I can throw my support behind that, even perform the merger if you're busy. Otherwise, how about withdrawing the proposal? There is, of course, no deadline on Wikipedia, but the issue has been open for quite a while and I'd like to see it resolved one way or another. Worldbruce (talk) 08:22, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for reminding me about this. I agree that they have grown apart enough now that the merge is no longer necessary. I would like to clarify their separation better, and generally improve the articles a bit, but I'm really busy in real life at the moment so it might take a while for me to get around to it (hopefully not 3 years though). Deleted Page Question
Sarahj2107,
I recently submitted the draft of a page for the nonprofit I work for, Global University. It was reviewed and deleted by you because of copyright infringement.
However, the content in question (from the web page http://www.globaluniversity.org.mt/history.htm) is from a satellite school of ours that is run by our office in Malta. The content was provided to them by our international offices, but I was unaware that they had posted it online. The version I submitted to Wikipedia actually went back and used original sources, where the article from this website does not.
I can add this page to our list of references to fix the issue if need be, but I can no longer access the page. Is it deleted for good or is it still accessible?
Thank you!
Globalunv (talk) 13:27, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- Hi. The article is not deleted for good, I can still restore it if necessary. I will have a look at this and sort it out either later today, or tomorrow when I have time. Sarahj2107 (talk) 13:57, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Globalunv: Ok, I actually just had a chance to look at this now. The entire history section is a copy of the website linked. I cant check the original sources for these as the are not available online. I know that the version was here on Wikipedia on 28 September 2015 but I don't know when the version on the website was published. Because of this I am not happy with restoring it.
- Your options now to possibly get your article restored are to confirm that the website is licenced under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike, donate the copyrighted material to Wikipedia (you can read how to do that here), or you can appeal the deletion here at Deletion Review.
- I more thing, you should be aware that Wikipedia doesn't not allow usernames that imply that more than one person is sharing the account, or that the person behind the account is editing on behalf of a company or organisation ( more information here). I suggest you change you username, as your current account may be blocked from editing. Let me know if you need any more help with anything. Sarahj2107 (talk) 14:59, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the info. I will submit it for Deletion Review.

You deleted our college club page

- Hi Aniket3167, I'm sorry but the article on your college club didn't comply with Wikipedia's guidelines. It was overly promotional in tone (please read here) and it provided no reasons as to why it was significant (please read here in addition to the link sst posted above). Unfortunately a college journalism club is not likely to ever be notable enough to warrant a page on Wikipedia. If it was to be recreated it would need evidence of significant coverage in multiple independent, reliable sources. Sarahj2107 (talk) 14:53, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

You Have Been Deleted My Page. Why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Av8860 (talk • contribs) 05:29, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Av8860, your page was deleted for three reasons. One, it didn't give any indication of the subject's significance, two, it was unambiguous advertising and three it was a copyright violation, having been copied directly from here. The speedy deletion notification on your talk page goes into more detail and gives links to the relevant policies and guidelines. I suggest you read them before making another article. - @Av8860:.
- No I can't un-delete that page or let you continue it in the form that was deleted. This is mostly because it was a copyright violation. Wikipedia cannot host copyrighted material for legal reasons.
- You can make a new one but if it is the same or similar to the last one it will quickly be deleted. I advise against it.
- The relevant links you should read are
- 4. It is generally not considered appropriate for someone to create an article about something they are closely linked to because they have a Conflict of interest and may not be able to give a neutral and unbiased point of view. If you are being asked to create a page for your company as part of your job, and being paid for it, then it is especially inappropriate.
- I'm sorry but at the moment your company just doesn't meet the criteria for an article on Wikipedia. If in the future they are have enough coverage in independent, reliable sources to prove notability then someone else will likely create an article. Let me know if you want any more help with anything. Sarah-Jane (talk) 20:32, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi. You deleted this article when I was in the middle of improving it. :-/ I have restored it to Draft:Tankus the Henge for the time being, but I'm not sure who the main contributor is to let them know. A Google News search reveals pages and pages of articles, mostly local rather than national journalism, and mainly passing mentions of them supporting genuinely notable musical acts, but I nevertheless think that is without doubt sufficient importance to clear A7. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 10:58, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry about that, I didn't know you were working on it and it didn't look like it had any claim of significance to me when I deleted it. Hopefully you can improve it enough to prove notability. Sarah-Jane (talk) 11:06, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- I can't hand on heart say it would pass an AfD, for British bands you really need a chart hit or a signing to a major label to cement notability. I think the best thing to do is to throw what reliable sources there are and submit it via AfC. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:22, 10 November 2015 (UTC)

Deleted page question
hello saraj
I recently updated the draft of a page paarvati kiriyath bharath , it was reviewed and deleted by you . is it possible to fix this again. http://paarvatikiriyath.wix.com/braidde thank you omega
- Hi OMEGA KIER. I deleted your page because it did not give any indication of her significance. You need to provide independent, reliable sources to prove notability. I suggest you read the linked guidelines before creating any more pages. Sarah-Jane (talk) 14:29, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi Sarah,
Thanks for your suggestion. Please let me know how to write about deals4labs as a mere information and not sound been promotional.
manoharManohar0302 (talk) 12:21, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Manohar0302. Neutral point of view guidlines goes into detail about how to write in a non-promotional way. You need to make sure that you only report facts not opinion and that you don't just write about what they sell/do. Your previous article just listed the services and what you can buy on the website so it was basically just an advert not an encyclopedic article. I will warn you though, I have done a quick search for references and the company does't appear to be notable (see Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). If you create the page again it will very likely be deleted again, either straight away under A7 criteria for speedy deletion for not indicating significance, or in a deletion discussion for being non-notable. Deletion of Page
We have recently added a COMPANY page on wikipedia with the name of Myheera infoline pvt ltd and observed that it was reviewed and deleted by you could you please elaborate the reason. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.180.11.202 (talk) 11:59, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, the article on your company was deleted because it didn't indicate why it was significant enough to warrant a Wikipedia article and because it was overly promotional in tone, to the point that is seems like it's only purpose was to promote the company. You should not be creating an article on your own company anyway as you have a conflict of interest. Sarah-Jane (talk) 12:54, 21 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Ajayrwat (talk) 16:45, 29 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Ajayrwat. Before you create the page again I suggest you read the notability guidelines, guidelines on reliable sources and guidelines on promotional content. The deleted page did not comply with these. The company doesn't appear to be notable enough to have its own Wikipedia page and any recreations will also likely be deleted. If you do decide to make a new page I suggest you use the article for creation process so you can get some feedback before its moved to the main article space. WP:EL on lists of chapters.
Not sure if you are working your way through Category:Lists_of_chapters_of_United_States_student_societies_by_society for WP:EL, but what you've done so far is great. I'm a bit too much in the middle of the Fraternity issue right now to avoid having a COI on any of this, but glad someone external is able to look at this. If that gets too boring, Category:Lists of chapters of United States student societies by college is even more fun.Naraht (talk) 16:16, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- I'm actually going through Category:Wikipedia external links cleanup starting at the oldest. If all those societies pages have the same external links problems then it might take me a while to do them all but I'll try my best. Sarah-Jane (talk) 16:27, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- Good Luck. I realized that some had had the issue for a while, but didn't realize that some were in the oldest section of that. Have fun.Naraht (talk) 19:05, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
