Maintenance templates
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from SpiderG. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:55, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
SpiderG
[edit]Hi Sanjana puri. I noticed that you've just started editing on Wikipedia yesterday and that your very first edit was to create the article SpiderG. Although there is nothing wrong with trying to create articles, creating a new article from scratch is very hard to do, so I suggest you take a look at Wikipedia:Your first article and Help:Referencing for beginners for some pointers. Wikipedia also has many policies and guidelines as well as a manual of style that all editors are expected to do their best to comply with. Two specific policies which are very important for articles like "SpiderG" are Wikipedia:Notability (companies and organizations) and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.
The notability policy is important because this is the basis in which new articles about companies and organizations are assessed by the Wikipedia:Community and how it is determined whether such an article should be deleted. It's very important that you be able to show that SpiderG has received significant coverage in multiple independent reliable sources to justify a stand-alone article; otherwise, the article may be nominated for deletion by another editor.
The conflict of interest policy is important because Wikipedia articles are intended to be written from a neutral point of view and not be promotional in any way. Although conflict of editing is not expressly prohibited by the Wikipedia community, it is something that is highly discouraged because when a person is writing/editing an article about a topic they may be connected with their edits tend to be less than neutral. COI editing is not impossible to do, but it is very hard to do which is why the Wikipedia Community has placed certain restrictions on it. If you are connected to SpiderG in any way, then I suggest you carefull read through Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide to better understand what kinds of edits a COI editor can make. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:15, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of SpiderG
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on SpiderG, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
