Speedy deletion nomination of List of Vȃishya Hindu saints
[edit]Hello Saint Tapasya,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged List of Vȃishya Hindu saints for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. Take a look at our suggestions for essential content in short articles to learn what should be included.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Onel5969 (talk) 20:36, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Helpsome (talk) 17:47, 31 May 2015 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Buddhist Brâhmans
[edit]The article Buddhist Brâhmans has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Are we really going to drag casteism into Wikipedia's articles on Buddhism? *Really*? How is this page notable? It has tons of cites that mention when a Buddhist was or might have been a Brahman. This is *not* encyclopedic.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ogress smash! 18:49, 31 May 2015 (UTC)
What makes you think that Buddhists can't be Brahmins? The Buddha himself was a Sakya Kshatriya. - Saint Tapasya
