Speedy deletion nomination of UEL Sports
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on UEL Sports requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Sitush (talk) 11:27, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
- Even if the copyright issue were resolved, this would not be acceptable. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a notice-board to pin a prospectus on. "This degree is the one for you.... This unique programme... this programme is designed for you... " - that's an advertisement, not an encyclopedia article. See WP:Your first article for more advice about contributing. [edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on UEL Sports, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sitush (talk) 00:28, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

UEL Sports
[edit]Please stop recreating the above previously deleted article. You are using copyrighted material. If, as I suspect, you are also a student then I am appalled at your blase attitude towards copyright and plagiarism, which is not merely contrary to Wikipedia policy but also to the basic principles of academic study. - Sitush (talk) 00:34, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
The article UELSports has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Single department of a university. Nothing to demonstrate that it has received sufficient independent coverage for inclusion per WP:ORG.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SmartSE (talk) 16:38, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
Talkback - UEL
[edit]You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article UELSports is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. SmartSE (talk) 12:04, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
UEL photos
[edit]Hi, I've been looking at the photos you have uploaded to Commons - they're very good. Are you a professional photographer? I ask because some of them seem to be used by UEL themselves, and they have copyrighted the things. - Sitush (talk) 14:08, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- Forget it. They have all now been deleted at Commons following a copyright violation enquiry. Bearing in mind that edits of text by yourself on Wikipedia have also been removed for the same reason in the past couple of months, please would you re-read WP:Copyright before editing further. I'm happy to assist if you have any issues - just let me know. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 00:58, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
I dont understand why you have deleted the photos. I had taken them pictures my self, and the ones that i didnt take my self, i got the appropriate permission from the authors. So i do not no why you have deleted them.
Also i dont understand why you have deleted loads of information that i added to the UEL page. For instance you deleted of the notable alumuni of UEL. You said that you cant list alumuni, but if you look on the university of east anglia wiki page, they have a whole list, and so do loads of other uni pages such manchester, sussex, brighton, plymouth, anglia ruskin, newcastle, UCL, etc.

[edit]Just to let you know that I will be changing stuff, if no-one beats me to it. I'm afraid that you have again failed to comply with the policies and guidelines even though these have been made clear. Sorry. - Sitush (talk) 14:46, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Your addition to University of East London has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. You have been warned previously, had it explained to you etc by people other than me and still, yet again, you are inserting copyrighted material in this article. Please can you stop doing this. Copyright violations
[edit]Hi, I have just had to remove yet more copyright violations which you inserted in the University of East London article earlier this week. You have been warned frequently about this issue - do it again and I think that it will be necessary to report you, which could result in a block on your editing activities. Sorry, but I've had enough of this and have bent over backwards in my attempts to assist. - Sitush (talk) 17:30, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:UEL Royal Docks Business School Logo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:UEL Royal Docks Business School Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed.
