I noticed that you removed some of the flags from icon boxes, because of WP:INFOBOXFLAG Which is something that I agree with, now that I am aware of it.

You might want to keep an eye out for the edits of this guy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Valentinaitaly

I'm sure he means well, but he is adding the flags to a lot of the beauty pageant articles. I've sent him a message, so he might stop, but there might be a lot of articles that need these flags removed. Spacecowboy420 (talk) 05:47, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

Yes, I'm aware of him/her having a habit of waving flag in infoboxes. If he/she still doesn't stop, maybe the ANI would deal with it. STSC (talk) 01:36, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
I just checked their user page, they just got indef block for being a sock of User:Colombiabeauty. Spacecowboy420 (talk) 11:48, 5 January 2016 (UTC)

You didn't provide a reason in the edit summary and I'm curious. Jackninja5 (talk) 19:38, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Ah, that explains a lot and thanks for replying on my talk page instead of your own because it actually gets me a notification. :P Jackninja5 (talk) 04:04, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
Yes, Wiki would ping you. STSC (talk) 04:08, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

February 2016

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; according to the reverts you have made on Epoch Times. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Marvin 2009 (talk) 21:02, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

Discretionary sanctions on the Epoch Times page

This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding Falun Gong, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Complaint about you at WP:AE needs a decision

Please see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement#STSC. Per an earlier agreement, the AE complaint about you (on hold for three weeks) now needs a decision. You can update your response to the complaint if you wish. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 22:09, 25 April 2016 (UTC)

Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement sanction

The following sanction now applies to you:

You are indefinitely banned from editing and/or discussing topics related to the Falun Gong movement and/or the persecution thereof, broadly construed, across all namespaces.

You have been sanctioned for the reasons described in this case

This sanction is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Falun Gong#Final decision and, if applicable, the procedure described at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.

You may appeal this sanction using the process described here. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal to the arbitration enforcement noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. The WordsmithTalk to me 19:36, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Violation of topic ban

You are topic banned from Falun Gong. This means that you may not make any edits regarding it, including to a venue like Arbitration Enforcement. While there is an exception to a topic ban so that you may speak in your own defense if action is requested against you, that is not true of the request you have commented on. While it's a minor infraction and so I'm not going to block you for it at this point, I trust that this sufficiently clarifies the scope of the ban so that there won't be a recurrence. You may find the limited exceptions to topic bans here. Seraphimblade Talk to me 23:00, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:29, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
