[edit]Source(s) confirming Barrie? Otherwise it's pure speculation, and Wikipedia is not a Crystal Ball. Let's not jump to any conclusions w/o any references to back your claim up.
And we're going to need something more substantial than "undisclosed sources confirm... blah blah" on some random music site like this... [1]. If this was true, the more mainstream media would have jumped on this lead already.

[edit]Hi, I just noticed the LGBT rights opposition category you listed yourself under. This category is usually reserved for articles about LGBT rights opposition, not users who support it. Placing a comment on Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion is not the way to nominate an article for deletion. That page is for discussion of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion itself. You've done step 1 of the process that is laid out at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion#How_to_list_pages_for_deletion. Please now do steps 2 and 3 if you wish the article deleted.
However, note that deletion is not the way to render the neutral point of view. That's done through simple editing, with discussion on the article's talk page if there is a disagreement. Deletion is not involved. Please read our Wikipedia:deletion policy, paying special attention to the "Problems that don't require deletion" section. Uncle G 17:10:35, 2005-09-05 (UTC)

[edit]Baseball on Wikicities
[edit]Hello SFrank85, Googie Man here and I want to ask you something as a fellow baseball fan on Wikipedian. Jimbo and Angela have made a new webstie called Wikicities. This link in particular will take you to the baseball Wikicity. As you'll see it's similar to Wikipedia, but my hope is this will allow baseball fans to do more and different things, like reporting on games, in depth statistics, create mulitple pages for pictures, and whatever else baseball fans care to create. You've done great work on Wikipedia and I was hoping you could help get this baseball Wikicity off the ground. Please let me know what you think either at my talk page, or you can email me at terry@wikia.com. Thanks! Googie Man(Talk), 20:38, 3 January 2006.
Election poll dates
[edit]The date shown for an election Opinion polling in the Canadian federal election, 2006 poll should be the date the poll was completed! I fixed for the Ekos Jan 5th poll. Thanks for adding though, I didn't know Ekos was going daily! Nfitz 19:12, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
- They have been doing a daily poll for The Toronto Star since Wednesday.SFrank85 19:16, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, interesting ... I don't get the Star. I guess there are some other results we are missing. Was it the Jan 5th results that were in Saturday's paper? Nfitz 21:30, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
- Saturday's paper had Jan 6th results, Friday's paper has the 5th's, but I did not get Friday's Star. SFrank85 23:25, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
- Are you sure it wouldn't be Jan 5th results in Saturday's paper? The Globe always runs 2 days later (likely because they wouldn't finish making the phone-calls until 10 PM PST, which would be 1 AM local time in Toronto, and too late to process data and turn-around for Saturday edition). I haven't seen any Jan 6 Ekos results; their website has only the Jan 5 results which they released on Jan 7. Nfitz 18:26, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
- The polls are done over two nights. In the Star, it says the poll was completed the night before. I'm just going with whay they say. SFrank85 18:43, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
- Well, we could figure it out by the numbers ... The EKOS press release on January 7th for polling completed January 5th, was quite clear about the polling dates. Are the numbers in this release matching what is in the paper copy of the Star for Friday (6th) or Saturday (7th)? I'd trust the Ekos press release, over what the Star reported. Nfitz 23:10, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. [edit]Sorry for removing your last edit.
Btw, do you have any interest in becoming an administrator? We had a few disagreements when you first arrived on Wikipedia, but I don't have any quarrels with what I've seen of your recent edits. CJCurrie 03:12, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
- That's ok, I know sometimes it is hard to find the small edits.
I never thought of becoming an administrator. I would have to really think hard about it, but as of right now, it really is not a goal of mine. SFrank85 15:47, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

You said that Harper's sister is mentioned in the biography by William Johnson, but I notice that another editor has removed any mention of her. I took a quick look through the book and can't find it. Can you give me a page number? HistoryBA 02:31, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
I'm curious to know why you reverted my edit. Is the information not verifiable and relevant ? No Guru 23:42, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- The edits that you deleated were relevant, and the Ethics Commish. "Ethics" has been questioned by the PM and other conservatives. [2] SFrank85 23:54, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

- No Guru: We're supposed to assume good faith here. If you're not willing to do so, maybe you shouldn't be editing on Wikipedia. Why don't you try justifying your edit on the dicussion page to see if others agree with you? HistoryBA 00:10, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- Sfrank - I would describe that edit as partisan. It's okay to state in the article that the Ethics Commisoners motives are questioned in some corners. It's not okat to delete relevant, factual information because you don't like it. No Guru 00:30, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- BA I replied on your talk page. No Guru 00:30, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- I was the one who did not deleate anything on that page, you did. It should be added that the PMO and the conservatives has questioned this investigation. SFrank85 00:36, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'm sorry Sfrank I just went to review my edit to the Stephen Harper article. I made a mistake when I went about reverting the deletion of this content:
- I'm sorry Sfrank I just went to review my edit to the Stephen Harper article. I made a mistake when I went about reverting the deletion of this content:
On March 3, 2006, Ethics Commissioner Bernard Shapiro announced that he was launching a preliminary inquiry into conflict-of-interest allegations against Emerson and Harper. Shapiro says he will look into what influence may have been wielded in the decision by Emerson to cross the floor.[3][4]
By mistake, at the same time I also deleted this paragraph -
On March 3, 2006, Ethics Commissioner Bernard Shapiro announced that he was launching a preliminary inquiry into conflict-of-interest allegations against Emerson and Harper. Shapiro says he will look into what influence may have been wielded in the decision by Emerson to cross the floor[5][6]. The probe was widely criticized as partisan since Shapiro was Liberal appointed and he had turned down earlier requests to investigate Belinda Stronach's floor-crossing[7], as well as Tony Valeri's questionable land deal. Shapiro had also been under fire from former NDP leader Ed Broadbent for "extraordinarily serious credibility problems"[8].
When you reverted I was confused, not fully understanding what I had done. My apologies and happy editing. No Guru 01:08, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. Take care! SFrank85 01:29, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

List of Canadian Prime Ministers by religious affiliation
[edit]Hi, I've noticed that you've changed Harper's former and current religion, and I was wondering if you could list whatever source from which you got your information so that the page looks a bit more legitimate. The list currently has no sources for anyone, so if you know of a good reference for the other PMs too, it would help. Arctic Gnome 12:57, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, but if Christian and Missionary Alliance is a type of Evangelical Protestantism, shouldn’t we list him by the former in the article for the sake of specificity? Just saying "Evangelical Protestantism" seems vague. Arctic Gnome 15:22, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

Stephen Harper's church
[edit]Would you please explain why you are so hostile to the fact that he was raised in the UCC? I have, after all, provided a citation. Carolynparrishfan 22:16, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

Prime Ministerial terms
[edit]I see that you've pretty regularly updated Stephen Harper's term on List of Canadian Prime Ministers by time in office. Thanks for keeping on top of this; things that require daily updates on Wikipedia often don't get done as regularly as they should. Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I've added an "as of November 18, 2006" (the date of your last update) footnote to Harper's line in the list — when you update his term length in the future, please change the date as well. Thanks. Bearcat 21:04, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

Image of Stephen Harper, OfficialPhoto.jpg copyright violation
[edit]Please be advised that I have read the objection and permission asserted for this photograph. Unfortunately, the permission was never received from the Copyright Holder. As you will see, if you read the copyright violation tag, the url [10] is the source of the image and it clearly states that the image is: Photographer: Herman Chung © Herman Chung
--Copyright Herman Chung. If you have a letter from Herman Chung licensing the image under one of the free licenses, I will withdraw my tagging of the image. Alan.ca 05:32, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- It also says © House of Commons on the main page of Harper's page, which we have permission from the house and the PMO, which Herman Chung is part of as Harper's offical photographer. SFrank85 13:19, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Vandalism -- Stephen Harper
[edit]Please stop including the removed photograph "officialphoto.jpg" of Stephen Harper. If you read the template you will note that I have included a URL that states the Image is copyright to a Mr. Chung. Including this photo while the copyright is in dispute constitutes vandalism. Please stop or I will have to report it. Alan.ca 06:35, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- You sir can go ahead and report it for all I care. We got permission already for the picture, we will have it fixed in no time. SFrank85 18:45, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've also found that the Office of the Prime Minister according to the Library and Archives Canada shows that the OPM holds the copyright here. He keeps lying about the fact that he claims no party gave permission although the OPM obviously gave permission in the email attached. He's stuck on Herman Chung and won't get off there.
