While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. TheGracefulSlick (talk) 20:17, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sonia Abril Medina requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Regarding Speedy Deletion
Hello, Vhubbard. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia.
I'm sorry, but this has been deleted as meeting one or more of the Categories for Speedy Deletion.
Generally, articles are speedily deleted when there is no assertion of significance or they fall into things to avoid or what Wikipedia is not.
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject.
Sometimes articles are deleted because they contain content copyrighted elsewhere. Such content can be used as a source of information, but the content here must be completely rewritten from scratch.
Some articles contain material written in a promotional tone. These must often be written from scratch. They are vigorously deleted.
Any content that is negative in tone and unsourced or which is disparaging will also be vigorously deleted.
Any deficiencies with notability, sourcing, or things to avoid should be remedied before reposting as they can lead to repeated deletions.
For test edits, click Vhubbard/sandbox
If you want to try again, please use the Article Wizard to guide you through the creation process.
You may find this tool useful: Google custom search
If you reply to me on your talk page, please place {{replyto|dlohcierekim}} at the beginning of your reply.

If you have verifiable information from reliable sources that show subject does meet notability requirements Let me know.
CONTENT IN ARTICLES NEEDS TO BE RELIABLY SOURCED.

you are a member of the press team

[edit]

Providing credible information for Wikipedia. Only the facts. There is no- bias information the resources provided are factual and the references all- references check out. Through research all information is provided. Nothing has has been embelished. My contribution is to provide facts and information which confirm these facts. Which makes me a reliable source. I have read the Wikipedia terms and ther has not- been a violation or bias information stated. The artist that I research provide information on their pages and with there consent pictures and information is granted.

Primary sources and COI

[edit]

Please understand the sources you listed are mostly, if not entirely, primary sources that do not say anything about notability. You have an obvious COI with the subject that you even admitted to. Also, please do not remove parts of the AfD template. It is not a PROD so it cannot be close until an admin comes by.TheGracefulSlick (talk) 02:42, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Sonia Abril's Page

[edit]

I am not trying to violate any of your rules. I started off this page in which other resources can add more content to the artist page. It was to my understanding that this how the community worked. I would not have all the information needed to complete the page in a day. With time the pages will build up through other sources. In addition- if I were close to the source, I would have more information then what was listed. A part of the press- team- means that when creating an article about any individual, I would do my best to reach out to their agent for factual information. If I were writing about any member in this community, I would reach out to them, to verify facts and to add unique information and original pictures that can't be found on the web.

I don't have a problem reaching out to individuals for more information or asking for signatures to verify authenticity of my work. I was trying to be helpful by providing as much credible info as possible. Yet, instead of offering help or suggestions, you have jumped to conclusions, which does not allow time to establish references from other sources.

It is very- important to allow the writer time to enhance their work through the community. It will also enhance Wikipedia's credibility by providing quality, and factual work, developed over time.

Allowing your writers time to develop their work, will prevent undeveloped articles and the public will value the work, instead of spreading negative feedback seen in the following article Best colleges online.biggest-blunders-in-wikipedia-

When writer tries to provide factual information in this community, they are charged with deletion threats. If you are looking for meaningful evergreen articles, you should treat writers with more respect, understanding- and time to enhance their work. Vhubbard

Regarding Emunah La-Paz's Page

[edit]

To have the article called puffed up, by one of the community writers is very unprofessional. Is journalism about tearing people down? Building this page for the author and understanding that others from the community would also add to this page was my understanding. I would kindly appreciate if you-could be more helpful in building up articles instead of tearing them down with your opinion, and judgmental standards. Allowing the writers to troubleshoot and work out the details. Great articles take years to establish, and investigate, I take my time researching and presenting factual articles. And this is what a writer in a community- should do.Vhubbard

To Whom This Concerns: I am kindly asking that you please restore the previous article that was written and approved By veteran Wikipedia members. I find it highly disrespectful and unprofessional to allow someone to delete a verified article with years of good standing due to the respected writer, that put in their time and research to provide quality content. To allow someone to delete all of this information in such away that threatens deletion of this article, is a violation in itself. I am also asking that the recent image added entitled HiddenFig, also remain. As this image is our property, and granted permission for usage was approved by the author. The image was taken in 2016 featuring the Movie, Hidden Figures, touching on racism against African American Women featuring the life of Katherine Johnson in the 1900’s. This is a factual image of the work that showcases the artist history in the industry. To have articles and images removed that touch on this subject, sets an undertone of racism within itself. Due to the fact that we have faced a series of harassment and mistreatment when providing legitimate information and factual images to this article. We are asking for fair treatment. We ask that the on-going harassment of deletion come to an end immediately. We have ownership of the past approved articles. At this point raising attention to the mistreatment of our article in a public forum outside of your establishment will be our result, as it is highly disrespectful to allow such unfair treatment to continue. Immediate action needs to be taken to restore our article in it’s entirety. We are also asking that a lock be added to prevent any further abuse. Thank you. Hello, guidelines have been respected. Wikipedia members are over this page. It seems as if you may want to research those who are damaging and providing false information on other pages. Perhaps looking over the files to make sure an article was not tampered with before deletion is best for all pages. It would be wise not to speculate, as you would not like others to speculate against you. To think that copyrighted material is downloaded in this article is also a misjudgment. This issue has been addressed. Therefore the right- measures should be taken to restore this article. Thank you.

@FiddleTimtrent Some form of threat? As you- are threating to delete a page in which you did not check for vandalism? I do believe that you best read the Wikipedia:No legal threats since this seems to be your intention. After all I'm not the one leaving deletion notices on pages. Please do the right thing, restore the article. And if you can't do what is right, and helpful why bother making a statement at all? And please note, it is Wiki members adding to this article. And just so know, this is the fourth time an article has been vandalized and in need of restoring. Should you be talking to the person that did this? Something better needs to be done about vandalism and deletion on this site. Educate writers about how to lock their site to prevent vandlism.

I have no fight with you. I seek to uphold the standards and processes on Wikipedia. I am accountable for my actions and you are welcome to hold me to account in any relevant forum, but please choose the correct one and do this only in that forum.
All editors here are equally accountable for their actions. You may hold any and all or us to account. If you need to ask how to do this please visit WP:Teahouse and ask there. Note, please that the Teahouse is not the place to make your case. It is a place to ask where and how to do that. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 20:02, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Emunah La-Paz. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Information icon Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Emunah La-Paz. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. AT some point in your recent editing flurry you removed, again, the deletion notice. Removing that notice is counter-productive. It invites people to comment on the deletion. Some may have policy based reasons to keep the article. You are working against yourself. What it does not do is stop the deletion process FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 09:50, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. I wanted to let you know that in your recent contributions to Emunah La-Paz, you seemed to act as if you were the owner of the page. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia. This means that editors do not own articles, including ones they create, and should respect the work of their fellow contributors. The file of which you speak is not on Wikipedia. It is at Wikimedia Commons, which has extremely strict policies about licencing. There is a formal mechanism on Commons for the provision of proof of copyright ownership and licensing, which is detailed in the final paragraph of the deletion discussion there.

In order to have any effect on that deletion discussion you must contribute there and must use that process specified.

Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:34, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A lack of consideration for content regarding African American Women. Calling this a conflict of interest. @Justlettersandnumber What is it that you write about? Are you interested in it? I am very concerned about this situation not as a conflict of interest as they believed this to be, but for the reason that this article is about an African American Artist and the Author that brings various stories to life. There are only 13.4%. African American, American Indian and Alaska Native alone. To have this article tampered with is unfair for those looking for people of color to research or refer to. The original content needs to be restored, so that other content writers can contribute to its expansion. Thank you.

This is nothing whatsoever to do with race, and you are unwise trying to make it so, It is 100% to do with article quality. In making accusations of racism you risk the loss of editing privileges. Any editor who makes these accusations, unless they are proven correct, risks the same. Please do not continue down that path. Instead, make policy based arguments. Ad hominen attacks are not allowed. We are all constrained to assume good faith.
Assuming you are Emunah La-Paz you have an absolute comnflict of interest because the article is about you, created by you. It is your advert. These are facts. If you pass WP:NAUTHOR then the article will remain, if not, not. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 21:38, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Justlettersandnumbers Trying to silence my viewpoint is unethical. You have no right to do so. I will say it again. There is no conflict of interest regarding this article. Writers just as you, are passionate about the subjects in which they choose and take time to write about. Should anything that you write about be a "conflict of interest?" I have known writers to use Wikipeda a stepping stone to approve their journalism skills. disrupting and threating to delete an article that has been good standing for years is not appropriate, and is a form of harassment and vandalism.

I will attempt this one more time:
  • The article was created by you
  • The article is about you
  • Those two facts mean that you have an ipso facto conflict of intertest
  • No-one is trying to silience your viewpoint
  • The article does not show that you pass WP:NAUTHOR
  • If it can be shown that yiou pass WP:NAUTHOR then the article will remain
Please take a step back from the indignation you feel and look at the facts here. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 08:14, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Hiddenfigures.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/00LqyMwWB7VZFcoVV76lYCma44DgureZvOMjCIWV8BlsYb8Y5loBRQh5QFL7v0RJbc08LGPgby0mEkQBDqy1Ms6DGfhDnbkm-ufeowMhmbMLCh23-jilfLI=s1800. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Image source problem with File:Hiddenfigures.jpg

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Hiddenfigures.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:13, 17 November 2021 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:13, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Vhubbard, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
