ABC Islands on The Amazing Race (U.S. TV series)

The Race has not visited these islands yet so why list that on the article? Do we list countries not visited on the page? the answer is no. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 02:49, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

The Netherlands is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands which includes several overseas territories. Why should we not point out that the mainland has only been visited?—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:54, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
I understand that after all I am majoring in Geography, but the difference between the other territories being listed and the ABC Islands, is that the ABC Islands have yet to be visited while the other have. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 04:47, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Why should we not point out that the Netherlands is the only territory of the Kiingdom of the Netherlands that the racers have visited?—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 19:33, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Because it has been visited, unlike the others who have not been. Do we list all the countries that haven't been visited? No. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 00:22, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

Black and White

I really think that Pokemon Black and White should be a GA, but I don't want to nominate it and be stuck with all the work, or have to explain why some things are the way they are. Would you be willing to help? I asked at the Project Pokemon talkpage two days ago, but got no response. Blake (Talk·Edits) 01:58, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

I on't do GA stuff.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:02, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Ok, but when it gets nominated, you are definitely going to have to answer some questions. You are the main contributor of the article, and have written most of its content. I just wanted to let you know in advance. Whenever I get the time, I want to nominate it. Blake (Talk·Edits) 02:12, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
All right. I just don't know how this stuff works is all.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:29, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

Sentai cameos on Gokaiger

They're all the same characters within the same continuity. Besides, it's no different to all the Sentai vs. movies.Fractyl (talk) 20:12, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

Gokaiger is a special case and we are not editing every single Super Sentai character listing to include their cameo in Gokaiger. End of discussion.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:33, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

TAR Australia

I dunno if you noticed, but France is absent from the TAR Australia map, lol 174.1.48.24 (talk) 09:16, 6 August 2011 (UTC)

Medal Tree

Thought you might like to know about this Medal Tree diagram. I checked and it's suppose to be related to the series' storyline.72.184.129.252 (talk) 03:50, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Well if we can't read it it's of no use to us.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 17:51, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

User:Miss HollyJ going to perpetrate me on edits at America's Next Top Model, Cycle 17

I was realized that this user trying to perpetrating me on edits at America's Next Top Model, Cycle 17 and added with Top Model history section without explanation. I had left the article's talk page to get warned.

The user said it to me on an unexplained revert edit: "Survivor, The Amazing Race and Big Brother all have a similar tables. You(ApprenticeFan) probably didn't know, but this is necessary whenever an all-star season occurs. If you continue you will be reported for disruptive editing." Could you please revert it back and no Top Model history in contestants section of the article just like your contributions at The Amazing Race 11 and The Amazing Race 18. Predecessor of the Extended Hepburn System

Dear Ryulong-san,

This is Kmns tsw.

The article of Romanization says "Methods of romanization include transliteration, for representing written text, and transcription, for representing the spoken word." But there were no known method of transliteration, and I have believed EHS is the first and only one.

There are three documents at Halcat.com. The title of the first one is proposal, but gradually I have come to think that I only found it. And I was right. 朝河貫一博士 had tried transliteration in his 入來文書 the Documents of Iriki (Yale University, 1929), and his method was identical with EHS described in the first document (proposal).

My report on the method of Dr. ASAKA`A Kwan'ichi (usually spelled Kan'ichi ASAKAWA) is at the end of [「頂門の一針」に書いたこと(六)].

As for the confusion of Romanization systems of Japanese, please go to [文化廳の外國人のためのハンドブックの方式] , select English version and go to the chaper 4, a separate PDF file. At page 37 (numero 165). Voila the treatment of the so called long vowels.

Sincerely yours, Kmns tsw (talk) 05:12, 22 August 2011 (UTC)

These sources do not use the Hepburn romanization system that we use on Wikipedia. They double all long vowels, regardless of the way that the long vowels are written in hiragana. This information does not help, particularly because it looks like an elementary school textbook.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 17:58, 22 August 2011 (UTC)

Dr. ASAKAWA Kan'ichi (ASAKA`A Kwan'ichi in EHS), the most eminent Japansese historian in the pre-war world wrote in the index to his Documents of IRIKI (Yale University 1929) under the title of Transliteration:

Our system of writing follows the one that has long since been current in writing in English except in one respect: we have employed zh for the sonant for sh, and j for that of chi, instead of using j for both, as is generally done. The distinction is always important in the written Japanese; though in speech it is disregarded in the greater part of the contry, it is strictly observed in Kyū-shū. Zh should be pronounced like z and s in "azure," "usual," and "fusion"; j is the same as the English j and soft g.

He didn't mention dz, the sonant symbol of ts. Dz is not a a digraph but just a juxtaposition of two letters so he must have not deemed it necessary to proclaim the use.

You can ascertain the use of both dz and zh in the table of contents of the document at Historiographical Institute University of Tokyo, as

6. Appointments of Shimadzu Tadahisa.
25. Petition of Koku-bun zhi

Kmns tsw (talk) 13:27, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

These are not documents that concern what we have described on Wikipedia as the Hepburn system of romanization, as developed by James Curtis Hepburn. I do not care about the absence of the "dz" sound or the "zh" sound. We use a system that has nothing to do with what you're telling me so kindly do not bring it up to me again because I cannot understand what you are trying to convey to me because you are clearly not a native English speaker.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 17:55, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

Your move request

I just wanted to make sure you noticed this; Anthony opened a move discussion instead of just moving it, please see Talk:Noitamina#Move.3F and discuss there. Thanks! ErikHaugen (talk | contribs) 23:49, 22 August 2011 (UTC)

Aha. Also, one more reason for me to get MOSTM removed from the site it seems.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 00:08, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
I can see both sides of that one. ErikHaugen (talk | contribs) 00:13, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
It just gets misapplied so many ways.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 00:26, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

English Release date for the new Pokemon Movies

Hi Ryulong. I have numerous sources confirming that the english release date Victini and the Dark Hero as well as Victini and the Light Hero are to be released on November, 25 2011. I just wanted to get your opinion if I should post it yet. Thanks. cyberpower (talk) 23:59, 24 August 2011 (UTC)

Can't do anything until it's officially confirmed.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 00:03, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
Alright, thanks. cyberpower (talk) 01:28, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

Re: Mangaka

While we are on the topic. I figured that you may be interested that I had started a topic about renaming Mangaka to an English equivalent a few days ago. Input on exactly what the new name should be would be helpful. —Farix (t | c) 00:50, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

I will consider it.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 00:56, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Good day. I have declined your request of db-R3 on this page because it was originally created in 2009, before you moved it to another location, and thus does not really qualify as being recently created. It is possible that this old spelling is now stuck in some inbound external links. WP:Redirects for Discussion would be the place to list this. Regards, --Taelus (talk) 14:26, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

Similar reason for my decline at Uchū Keiji Tamashī. The page existed in 2006 before your move, so again it could be stuck in some inbound external links, so would be better being listed at WP:RFD so this can be looked into. Thanks, --Taelus (talk) 14:31, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

Okay.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:42, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
