My fussmakeage is prompted by the fact that all the bot's new interwiki links led to the wrong East Germanic tribe. There were quite a few existing links to the correct tribe on other language WPs. What the bot action did was replace all of them with links to a different tribe. Trigaranus (talk) 12:38, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

- Aha! A false positive false positive! When I read "Reverted possible test edit(s) to article," I took that to mean that my then-recent edit had been reverted. I knew my edit had NOT been a test edit. So the only issue with the edit your bot did is that the edit summary was less than clear. Adding "partially" would improve it in such situations. Far from critical. Good bot-herder! :-) --Elvey (talk) 23:11, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
Cats
hello,
so why your bot "removes" the categories on User:GreatOrangePumpkin/Sandbox9? Why I can't simply hide them? Regards.--GoPTCN 15:58, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
- I'm afraid I don't quite understand your query - the bot removes any categories from sandbox pages such as yours because it isn't a proper article yet. WP:USERNOCAT explains the reasons for this, what was up with the edit? Rcsprinter (state the obvious (or not)) 19:28, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
- It does not "remove" at all, but simply put a colon after the brackets, so it takes time to revert this when I move it to main space. Why I can't just hide the categories? Regards.--GoPTCN 19:43, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
- It removes them from the category, that is what is meant by removing. I can't do anything about your case. Somebody can easily fix this when it is moved to the mainspace. Rcsprinter (tell me stuff) 17:10, 3 July 2012 (UTC)

Hello, When you make edits like this [3], could you also insert a ":" into the DEFAULTSORT calls (i.e., change {{DEFAULTSORT

) to prevent the page being included in Category:Pages_with_DEFAULTSORT_conflicts? Articles with more than one DEFAULTSORT and article talk pages with more than one listas parameter will have to be fixed manually. Regards, Illia Connell (talk) 23:58, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

Message on user talk page when removing article categories from userspace?
Hi,
Would you consider having the bot leave a message on users' talk pages when you remove article categories from userspace (like DPL bot does when it finds disambiguation issues)?
I was drafting an article in my Sandbox and your bot changed some category names. The problem was, I didn't notice at the time the bot had done this, I didn't notice when I pasted it into the page I had been editing, and I didn't even notice then straight away. When I did notice that the article had broken categories, I thought it had been some error of my own doing a careless Find-Replace - I didn't realise the original text in my sandbox had been changed by the bot. So I didn't even learn that userspace shouldn't contain categories.
It was only weeks later that I happened to notice that I wasn't the only person who had ever edited my Sandbox, and then I looked at what the bot had done, and only then did I learn that I shouldn't have categories in my userspace.
Hope you'll consider this suggestion

Why has the BOT removed my edits? The page is not a TEST PAGE. Londonalways (talk) 16:37, 13 May 2013 (UTC)

You viewed this article on 9 August. You can't see it now, but I fail to understand you failed to note that it was a blatant attack page of the worst kind. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 08:41, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- This is an automatic program which scans through pages and makes changes in regex. It therefore cannot read the page and have any clue of the content, even attack pages. I did not see it because I don't look through every edit the bot makes - I don't need to because I know it works. Neither of us have done anything wrong here. - How can I give a helpful answer if I don't know what you're saying. If you look at the patrol log of this bot, it has not been reviewing articles. That's simply assuming you would look at the log, not assuming you know anything about bots. All it does is edit the categories of AfCs, nothing to do with patrolling. I think your bot caused an error on a page
Hello,
I was helping a new editor with an article in his sandbox, and although much needs to be improved, I do believe the categories section was fine (I copied the format used in other articles, and it looked right), but then your bot came along and said I made a mistake, but now the page is showing a problem. Here is the sandbox. Your bot made the latest edit. Please check the situation. Many thanks in advance. Dontreader (talk) 19:21, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
- The bot's edit was correct. It added a colon so that the page wasn't added to the categories. When it is moved from sandbox to article, the colons can be removed. Rcsprinter123 (notify) @ 19:32, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
- Right, right. I had forgotten about that. I won't forget it again. Many thanks for your help and for the prompt reply, and have a nice day! Dontreader (talk) 19:49, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar | |
I was going through Template:Toolbar experiments and I found a lot of the test edits I was going to remove were already done by this bot, which is why I am giving this robot this barnstar. This bot may not be as famous, fast, or productive as ClueBot NG (the king of anti-vandal bots), but it is still a valuable asset to the Counter-Vandalism Unit. Thus, I present this barnstar with honor, to RscprinterBot. --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 15:15, 2 March 2015 (UTC) |

Delete, a handful of minor roles, but doesn't come close to WP:NACTOR in my view. I'm sympathetic to the argument that it's usually harder to find written information on Indian topics than Western ones, but when it's a BLP we're talking about, caution is called for. Subject must have played minor and supporting roles in various films and TV shows, but fails WP:NACTOR and WP:GNG. Mentioned only in passing in cited media articles (which themselves are mostly second-tier sources), and I couldn't locate anything more comprehensive. Narnack Records / Sisters
Hello and happy holidays - As requested, I want to let you know about a false positive that you reverted, on the article for Narnack Records. That article references a band called "Sisters", which linked to the page Sisters (i.e., two or more female siblings). I redlinked it to Sisters (band). I will let you adjust as appropriate. Thanks KConWiki (talk) 19:46, 25 December 2015 (UTC)
